      I believe the mod is nearly done.
      I will keep making updates from time to time. It will always use the same download link I think.

    I'm actually rather impressed! I have the original version on disc for PC but after applying the update it improves the game. The original is still great I'm not bashing on the original PC port but this just helps some of the issues. Keep up the great work I subscribe to you recently because I do like the driver series a lot

    I think comparison pictures should have no fade inbetween, it makes it harder to noticed smaller differences. And there should be segment with all 3 variants shows at the same time cropped to same section on all 3.

    Is it possible to increase the spawn distance of pedestrians and vehicles? thus decreasing the pop-in.
    there are also some objects, light poles, trees without shadow.
    and no ambient occlusion in wall corners.

      Yes. In Nvidia Control Panel you can enable it for Driv3r Definitive Edition.exe

    Could you please fix the controller sensitivity for the right stick? It's actually pretty important cause the movement is so damn slow. Otherwise very good work dude!

    Hello bro! So. As a Driv3r fan myself, I really admire your efforts to clean the game up, and I'm once again playing Driv3r thanks to your modpack. But I gotta say, what I really think Driv3r needs and deserves is a remake from the ground up. As hard and improbable as it seems, I think that would be the best, most rewarding way to make Driv3r the game it should have been, had it not been released unfinished.
    I know it's improbable, since it's not overnight that the Driver community would find/build up a developer team ready to fully rebuild a game, or even finding such team, and it actually having interest in remaking an unfinished game from 2004, just because the community of its series desires so.

    The mod causes flickering trees for me like the other guy mentioned, along with some flickering windows and fences, the original doesn't have this issue. Also I noticed that each time the music in take a ride in Nice ends, the pursuit music plays for half a second before it goes back to playing the normal music again, but it's easily avoidable by not copying the music folder over.
    Do you know what files cause the flickering?

      @IJFJJAJI The flickering is caused by the Cities folder.
      However, if you use the original Cities folder, you won't have clickering but will have an issue where fog is not rendered on trees, fences and all the stuff that used to flicker.

      @@zombie-2358 okay, could I avoid this problem as well by not copying the moods folder? or is the fog not being rendered on trees an issue with the default game which the mod was trying to fix anyway?
      EDIT: Yeah now I understand it thanks. It's either correct fog+flickering trees vs bugged fog but no flicker. It's just a shame that we can't get rid of the transparent backgrounds flickering

      @@zombie-2358 Do you know why the Nice/Day/Clear take a ride music plays the pursuit music for a second just before the normal non-pursuit music repeats with your music mod? (This happens when not in a pursuit). I tried Dusk and Night and they loop flawlessly

      @IJFJJAJI unfortunately it's due to fixing the pitch of the music tracks. The original ones were compressed which probably fixed the loop issues but made each song higher pitch and faster than original PS2 music. However, you may use the old Muisc folder to fix the bug but you will have to use 52.XA and above since those are exclusive tracks used by the new Moods folder.

      ​@@zombie-2358 awesome sounds great iv been playing with the definitive mod the cars look so much better even the shimmer is a higher resolution once again great work my goal is to upscale the original textures of the cities lol nothing about it is going to be fun.

      @@germainchevrier6749 while some city textures can be upscaled, others make the game crash. this is because some textures in Driv3r have a resolution limit. 512x512 or 1024x1024. Skyboxes have a 2048x2048 limit I think.

      @@zombie-2358 gotcha 👌so I'd need to upscale the texture and find some way to rescale to the proper size without losing much image quality I figure it will still look better then the state of the textures now not that they are really bad but I think the can be brushed up I just need to figure out the whole extracting textures and putting them back in part lol

    DEs lights at night are way too dark, they need to be brighter so that you can see cars from a distance and not run into them, just like irl

    The Problem with Driv3r in the daytime is the very noticeable lack of Ambient Occlusion. The Walls connecting to the Floor and crevices in many areas look very flat and poor.
    I'm a Blender artist and I used to make Pictures with no Ambient Occlusion for my Renders, but once I began using it and turning up its Intensity on some photos (then eventually animations) I noticed a Significant improvement to every area of the scene. Even more Noticeable when turned off now. So going back to these Older PS2 and Xbox titles, its so noticeable the lack of AO in the maps. I believe the lack of it was made up with the filters that were thrown into the game to make it a bit blurrier in some spots and adding extra lights in areas to cast shadows. Something I did alot of in Blender before using AO.
    The next extremely noticeable detail that unfortunately plagues so many games today, is Screen Space Reflections, which if fiddled with enough, can add real life reflections to Glass. An example of this is when I used it for a recent animation, and in the alleyway between a shutter garage building and office building, the glass was Flat and no reflection, until I turned it on and suddenly the reflection of the characters I had in the Alleyway, was reflecting. It was Poor but it was good enough for what I needed it for.

      The RTX Addon can simulate Ambient Occlusion and SSR. However, I made it optional since it needs a good device.

    Is it possible to change the parameters of the graphics settings already in the game? Like pushing the draw distance for peds and vehicles out a lot further?

      No. You have to open a program like Nvidia Control Panel or AMD Radeon Software and then for Driv3r put Anisotropic Filtering on 16x.

    Uhmm i can mod it everytime i try to open it with rar it says that its broken or smth i mean it doesnt open i cant mod it any solution?

      Mesmo que o arquivo original seja um .iso. Basta clicar com o botão direito e pressionar Montar e executar setup.exe. Deve funcionar sem CD.
      Usei o google tradutor para isso

      At the moment, there is no way of fixing LOD. However, maybe in the future there will.

    I have installed it but all the trees in the game are flickering now. Any solution?

      @saurabhpathakYT Sadly, that issue does not have a solution since the flickering trees flicker due to an invisible background.

      @@zombie-2358 but I have seem people playing without that issue. If your mod has it, you can simply remove that file and everything else will work

      @@saurabhpathakYT Still trying to work out why this is as well, if the game is installed without DE it's not there. as soon as DE is installed flickering trees... Maybe it's the upscaled trees?

      @@saurabhpathakYT I found not adding the Cities and Moods folders makes the trees not Flicker but it also removes the fog so it's weird in places. but the rest of the mod gets added
