By far the best interpretation I've found on RUclips. Everyone else muddies the trills and slurs/pedals them. Trills are clear as crystal here and the tempo is proper (2:44 and on).
I love the way he brings out the romantic spirit but also has great clarity in his playing.
Muzio Clementi è uno dei più grandi composeres del mondo!!
Gorgeous - If I heard this on the radio I would never have guessed as clementi, has a later feel to it which is superb. Have ordered this to learn after hearing this amazing man playing it
I agree, though I feel this work is more eminent of a Beethoven Piano Sonata. The slow opening, a symphonic gesture of which Beethoven uses in his 8th Piano Sonata (Pathetique). Plus the chunkier block chords and turns in dynamic. etc. This piece looks away from Classicism and towards Romanticism.
Ko je god svirao klavir svirao je i Clementija. Veliki virtuoz!
My music arrived for this 3 days ago and I am hooked, managed the first movement at a slow speed and listen to you for inspiration to carry on. Thanks for posting such magnificant playing
I read this in Wikipedia, it is true?
"Interestingly, Mozart used the opening motif of Clementi's B-flat major sonata (Op. 24, No. 2) in his overture for "Die Zauberflöte." It was not unusual for composers to borrow from one another, and this might be considered a compliment. Though Clementi noted in subsequent publications of his sonata that it had been written ten years before Mozart's opera--presumably to make clear who was borrowing from whom"

Maybe you´re interested to hear, that Mozart was even a Plagiator.
Historians discovered, that he decorated himself with strange feathers.
He copied and stole the "Jupiter-Symphonie"and also the "Pariser Symphonie"from an unknown italian Composer, from which he did not write or compose one single note.
Historians suppose,he also did with other pieces,,that he´s taking all the credits for until today.
you are so good at inspiring that my sister now loves it too! the most wonderful pianist I have heard in ages!
Leggiadra.

You could easily find out by becoming a temporary "musicologist" and do some internet research on the overture.
Than beethoven did the pathetic .... ;)
