Most importantly, Nigeria need to learn how to manufacture it's own trains, train coaches, and railroad tracks. This will give Nigerians thousands of manufacture jobs and stop sending money out of the country to China, etc.. By Nigerians help to construct these rail lines; they should have the experience on railroad building. You have thousands of Nigerians with engineering degrees!

It is impossible to develop a railway industry without the support of basic industries。If Nigeria wants its own railway industry to start from scratch, it can import technology from China and send people to study in China

I agree with you 100%. Unfortunately, degrees don't solve problems. It is knowledge that does. We don't have the specialization yet, but we will get there albeit by crawling, then walking before flying! We can't jump the process! I remember in 2003, all our IT guys in my former work place were Indians. That's not the case again. We have taken over their roles now! Let's be patient Sir. Nigerians CANNOT build railway lines NOW! TIME will solve that problem

@Ireti Rotimi They went to America and other parts of Europe to study... you know they copied most of their technologies from other countries to stay independent.

These rail lines should be built closer to the population centers. It seems like these stations are in the middle of no where! If the rail go through heavy populated areas you would get more ridership. It poor planning and the Chinese is laughing all the way to the bank. Nigeria should take a look at how and where rail lines are built in America, China, Japan , and in Europe.

@Melvin Pierce what you need to bear in mind was the rail system was planned around the cities of Europe and north America and have been around for 100's 1000's of years secondly for Abuja to do this they would have to destroy and rebuild which will not be cost effective at all

What you're saying is the same with what Lagos did, do you know how much was spent in compensation and demolition? Or do you think it's free? Bedsides the Abuja Metro as it should be rightly called has several lines and I personally think they should have considered other lines instead of this one that's not going to the urban areas yet. However this line is still fist of a kind. A rail line from Airport to city center is a rear sight in West Africa. So before you condemn, consider your own suggestions and weigh it before putting it out.

CCECC... I hope this ends up being a mutually beneficial partnership in the long run. But, the Chinese flags hanging in the Nigerian train fills me with skepticism.

Let's applaud a good work before we start complaining. If it was not done, we would complain. Now it's done, we are still looking for faults. We can't move forward amidst such negativity. It's one thing at a time. If we had started doing these things gradually in the last 30 years, we would have gone very far. It's better late than never!
Congrats to the handlers. More to follow please 💪💪💪

@@kelvinogbeide313 , in your view, what is it that has not been done well that you want? There is no perfect system in this world. Only God is! We only just saw a video. How can anybody make clear deductions from a short video?
I entered the kaduna-Abuja train. It was a lovely and great experience, given that it was my first time. Their services were great too. But I know it could not have been the BEST in the world. But I didn't have anything to complain about. I have not entered the Abuja Metro, so i can't whine about it. On TV, it looks okay. My prayer is for us to sustain it and do more.
      Thank you

That's what affected it at first. But they're currently working on that. That's the reason why Lagos Metro looks more planned and organized than that one

Sir, how do you know it is sub-standard? I believe you have seen it live before making this assessment. I have not!!! Please educate us. Let's learn to applaud a good work before we start complaining. If it was not done, we would complain. Now it's done, we are still looking for faults. We can't move forward amidst such negativity.
