Both him and I had scars and pain from our past, yet I thought we healed each other together slowly.
Even though his demon was bigger, and I had to let him go, for the look in his eyes when he told me he need to figure it on his own. And that I can see we'll never be happy together before he could figure the happiness for himself first.
So I gave up our dream of the beach house and 2 dogs together.
Even though our fate has separated our path together by now, Gauthier, wherever you are now. Please be happy. Please be well. I love you.

Remembered this song on 2 setups:
1. After a hard break up with my Ex, few months later we decided to have a coffee after office. She says she moved on, telling me stories about how she met A and B, while asking my opinion what should she do with both. I try to understand Her predicament in that position and consoled her, like the good old days. I was happy to find her in her element. Joyous, proud and ever so energetic. We finally went home, but we both decided to go to the train station together. We shared this song through a split headset on the way to the train station. I was singing and humming on the shared car, but when I look at her just looking though the window. Can't even shade a gaze at me. At that moment, I knew her heart faltered. Once we arrived at the train station, she went in; but I didn't. She asked why? I said "I just want to walk you to the train station, like the good old days. Thank you for today." As I went home by Bus instead.
2. I was on a 2 year Long Distance Relationship after that ex in No.1. I was in Indonesia, she was in Netherlands. I met her first time from a friend of a friend. We loved each other and dated for a month, before she went abroad for work. Day after day, night after night we always called. Time difference was no enemy in our relationship. I knew she needed this because she went to therapy in Netherlands, to shed past trauma with Her previous ex. The moment came after the first year, when she finally came home for Eid Al-Fitr. I drove to the Airport, 3.15 AM in the morning, to welcome her home. This song blasted on repeat on my way to the airport. Because I knew, "I'll would never found a love like this, in a million years." But she's now going to marry another man. But we're still good friends, and shared great stories to update each other on our lives. We knew we are meant to be, but God has other plans for us both; that indeed still made us both happy in the end.
