The Indian cricket board, BCCI, is suing ed-tech company Byju's over payment defaults.
Byju's had signed on as the Indian team's jersey sponsor in 2019, but ended the deal prematurely in 2022 amid a debt crisis.
The company's founder Byju Raveendran has reportedly pledged his homes to pay his 15,000 employees.

2 years back my daughter along with me and my wife received a presentation from Byjus executives. Last minutes of the presentation I decided never to take up this app tuition for my daughter. And I still remember I told my wife, this company won’t last more than 3 years from now. Such a big torture these executives do upon parents. I really wish to see Byjus totally sink and close down

I have known Byju from 2008-09 time when he was conducting CAT coaching in Bangalore JNC. My roommate, who was an average guy, cracked CAT and got admission in IIM just because of Byju's training (and his hard work as well). He still speaks very highly of Byju's teaching skills. Back then Byju was easily making a few crores. He could have grown organically(the zerodha way) without VC funds and still be a 100-200 crores revenue profitable business. I think VC really put them under a lot of pressure.
Ya even I'm also agreed with ur statement the point is that they have spent lot on marketing and advertisements though the founder is extremely talented and intelligent that's y he was able to build a hundred crore business.
First and most important chapter for every company in India is that's Indians are the most smartest for every Paisa they spend.
