Yeah despite his short appearance in the American G1 I was an immediate fan of that scene you played in the beginning. I hope they do the twins as well.
True! Same with Six Shot. Or Fortress Maximus for that matter.. the short moment he arrives on the battlestage in Headmasters USA and Spike lifts up with Cerebros to form the head caused small explosions in my teenager brain s@@tydiriumhanger1320
myself rarely collect 3rd party figures because they are expensive, complex or both. i learned something never treat such figures like normal hasbro releases you can reach their breaking point very quickly.
If he were red, I’d get. My hot neighbor had a red Fiero and I got to ride in it. Literally had to roll myself into and out of it; it was so low to ground. Total deathtrap.
Kinda on the fence about this one. I pre-ordered the Japanese version. Lots of mixed reviews, but for the price and the likelihood of anyone else making it, I may just pull the trigger. I would like Fans-hobby to take a shot. They are quietly making really good MP's. Especially characters nobody else is doing.
Agree, I think FH would do a great job. I'm also trying to work out whether to bite the bullet on this one in the meantime, and whether either me or the figure would survive the experience.
@jasonbari5997 I think so. Obviously updated, but 100% faithful to the character. No liberties taken. They do the powermasters, mini headmasters, and Armada. If anything, they lean more towards toy accuracy. I have a few of their figures. No complaints at all. Very solid company.
@tydiriumhanger1320 those long parts under the doors that connect to the front car hood make me nervous man! Hope I don't break mine!! You made it look do-able tho. I can't believe the flip side of the faces don't finish the black helmet sculpt to make the illusion work a bit.🤷♂️ *sigh* Fingers crossed for Runabout and Runamok.
You didn't transform Counterpunch's (Decepticon) stomach. His knee joints are in the black section. and work in both directions. You say this is a display piece that you won't fiddle with much. How is that different to anything else you have? ;-)
The windows are clear/smoked plastic, not painted plastic. It doesn't feel so bad on this figure but I'd prefer colored plastic with painted windows. I'd also prefer if Keith would make figures without some of the real world features he insistently includes. Just think how much better the bot and alt mode would be if engineering didn't need to go into opening doors, working headlights, steering wheels, seats, dashboard components. I think the focus on these figures should be best bot/alt mode with proper transformation and articulation, then...... "if" you have room left over that won't compromise, add a feature.
The head lights and rims make this!
Great inclusions
19:50 There is knee articulation. Lock the knees (they are on sliders). Articulation for the knees is on the lower thigh region.
I see now that makes the stability and articulation way better thanks

Some of the Characters with less screen time are cooler Like Boba Fett was back in the day

You need to slide the lower legs in at the knees, and then you get full motion in both directions.

This may be small but it packs a punch
That it does I will not even counter that
But the Decepticons are going inevitably going to catch Punch red-handed.

There is a red repaint coming
Mine arrived today. Love the alt mode, wish they would have put a bit more effort in hiding the bot from itself.
Yep it looks great and works but if the Japanese version is better then I will be stoked
The second head(face lines) is based off the cartoon
That does look more like the cartoon I saw that more in the editing portion

This figures does look great and this may be the only option for years for Punch
I just started collecting about five months ago, does fans hobby make their characters toon accurate like the other third parties?
i would not pay 97 bucks for this toy no txb for me

I'm keen for mine, but scared about another shocking XTB build! They just do not improve do they?? Loved Fioravanti, now this looks pretty bad!
There are delicate parts to this but overall handled the transformation fine

American version for Autobot mode. Japenese for Decepticon!
True that will look the best
Just checked the Japanese version and its way better in the Joints all nice and stiff, even a bit too stiff, on the Legs. Ellbows great and Shoulders.
Awesome thanks for the info and now I look forward to that one more
You didn't push in his stomach area (counterpunch)
And the side mirrors aren't folded in.
Great tips! Loos better! I was so overly concerned about not breaking this guy I missed a few things Thanks

True I will right my wrongs with the Japanese version
I ordered two one for each faction even after all the bad reviews I’ve heard since I don’t think anyone else is going to come out with him
The only other one is Hasbro and that is good but this is better

Yep the features do get in the way
Was interested in this, but now that I see it I have no excitement about it at all. Like the character idea, just not the design.
This does stand out on my shelf and I have no regrets
