- Watch me in fpv routing this gas pipe from the kitchen area into the loft for a boiler.
Was time to use my new pipe benders for 22mm copper and I have to say I love them.
I’ve used the 15mm version of these monuments and always wanted the 22 so I pushed the button and glad I did!
I use a bending pipe formula to work out the set by x my measurement by 1.4 and bending at them two points at the start of the bender former.
This is a very helpful method for getting accurate pipe sets!
Enjoy the asmr and fpv footage, please like, subscribe and comment down below as I will try to answer any questions!
I do this all day every day and come home watching these all night 😂. Btw nice job. 👍
Same here 🤣💀
Great to see a Plumber taking pride in their work. I prefer working with “hard drawn” copper tube over “annealed” copper tube, especially when it’s going to be seen.
In Australia we are forbidden to use soft soldered joints on gas lines. It has to be either silver brazed or the use of flared compression fittings.
I’m surprised you don’t use tube expanders to join the copper tube instead of sockets.
Anyway great workmanship and video 👍
Brilliant workmanship well done
Thanks mate 👌👌
I brought a pair of those last week and there ace, no more lost formers!!!!!!!
Thought i’d lost my normal pipe benders i’ve had for years 😢…… turns out i’d left them under my bath and popped the panel on lol 😂
never mind new kit ay!
Hahaha I through my 16 year old hilmors in the skip! Now I’m solidly using monument 15 and 22
You should definitely post with a link to all the tools you use and bits, tools! Get that commission!! Great work!
That is masterful work!!!! Thank you.
Brilliant pipe benders 👌
Love them!
Why is it i spend all day doing much the same thing, then spend most the evenings watching someone else do the same thing.......Fair play tho, minT that was
Hahaha don’t worry your not alone 😂 glad you liked it buddy
Please send the link where I can buy this pipe bender or the name.
It looks heavy duty
Ever since I first saw your bricklayers trowel for use as a heat guard..i swear by it now when solering and redoing gas
carcass and pipework...
Solder over press fit every time!
Nice work maestro 👍
Nice work like the way you cleaned the joints too
Thank you! Cheers pal, always mate got to have it clean
Отличная работа!!!
Thank you 😍😍
Wow new 22mm pipe bender and trowel mate well done 🙂👌♥️
I know mate new year new me 🤣👏

Love that trowel technique for soldering, gonna go out and buy, still prefer my hilmors though got the monument 15mm as back up,nice work m8.
I was the same but carried the monuments in my solder bag and hilmors for back up. Now my hilmors are in a skip and I’m devoted now to full time monuments!!
Superb job ❤
excellent job, could you tell me where I can get a bending machine? Please tankyou
Wow , I ve never seen a Pipe Bender like that before . Can you please do a full video about it ?
Will do mate
Bravo!
Your copper bends is great mate
TIP: with those extension pieces for the bender. If you have a large radiator to lift, screw these into the top of the rad where the ven and cap go. Much easier to lift it on and off then
Champion beau travail
Can't use regular solder where I am only SILVER STICK BRAZING allowed.
Holds True in Georgia.
No Solder on Gas.

Golden hands...
They make money 🤣🤣
@@mmplumber hm👍
What is the reason for bending the copper pipe if you’re soldering the pipe at other points? Is there a reason not to use soldered 45s, 60s, 90s etc?
Straight coupling, soldered or not, does not add much friction for the water travelling in the pipe. Bending the same. But if you put a couple of elbows there, you suddenly creating friction equivalent of many more meters in length. Friction altimately causes damages. Besides, if you live in a s/hole like me, Hull, with max 2.5bar mains pressure...you really want to bend😂😂
Did you fill the cut off pipe with brick dust when you drilled your fixing holes?
Great work I allways use yorkshire pre soldered then I. Know there solder in them bottom joints
Easy when you know how. Thanks
Bravo complimenti bel lavoro 👌👌👌👌👌
I've never seen a bent copper pipe in all my years doing remodeling here in the states it's always fittings
wow !! how did you choose the angle you marked on the bender and how did you calculate 1.4 ...Thank you !!
It’s a proven formula with 45 degree bends
Only time I've even seen someone else use it to be fair
@mmplumber a how to video using the Monument bender with that formula would be great 😊
Smashing content as ever!!
When I started my Apprenticeship in the early 70’s it was all copper tube. 6M lengths & minimum fittings used, everything bent. Doing Bungalows, a 6M run up to the Header Tank all in one go!! You got your arse kicked, literally, by the Boss if you used fittings!! The tight old bastard was ex POW from WW2, Glaswegian & as tough as nails!! God knows the horrors he must’ve seen in the War years. So drinking was his main hobby & pissed, any course Cowboy these days, couldn’t lace his boots........He was an artisan, pissed or not!
Learning from him was amazing, he was so skilled.
He showed me the Constant Multiplier for bending copper tube, lots of Tripod machines, but we used the ‘new’ Handibender.
It’s simple trigonometry;
10° bends offset size x 6
22° bends x 2.6
30° x 2
45° x 1.4
60° x 1.2
So measure your offset Centre to Centre, multiply it by the Multiplier & that’s the distance between the two marks on your tube. Bend it to the required angle.
It’s not too critical where your marks sit in the former, as long as you use the same location in the former for both bends.
Nothing new in the Plumbing & Heating game!!
Luv Dick Puller❤
@@benregler9872thanks mate I think there is one I did with 15mm buddy
Trick of the trade cover up the pipe you cut off so you don’t get dirt in it when drilling your anchor holes . Nice job
Beautiful pipe work. Now can u figure out a way to get right of all that what looks like mold all over the wall? Lol
Very nice. Never done any pipe bending. See you threw out the rusty trowel. On the basis of your videos I got a cheapo one from Lidl. Let's see how it goes
That is awesome!
A great skill it’s a shame we don’t encourage the younger generation to take up these great trades
what type of copper do you use, and is it hardened copper that you anneal?
It’s medium hard in the uk so it’s all good going into the bender 👊👊
I don't know where you are at but we don't soft solder gas pipe around hear?
Round here we spell here, here. Not hear. But you might not be from round here so we will let it go.
Hear from you soon.
Пайка некачественная. Как припой снизу затекает? Гораздо надёжнее было бы развальцевать трубу с одного конца и вставить в неё другую.
I do need a flare kit!
what pipe clips are those
Eco clip mate 👏👏
Could explains the maths you used to get that offset.
30 degree distance x 2
45 degree distance x 1.4
60 degree distance x 1.2
On vois au moins quelqu'un qui sais bossé 👍
Can’t solder gas pipe in my area
Потолочное перекрытие из картона, похоже. Шуриком сверлится.
Зачем столько отходов оставлять?
Scrap 🤣
Soldering gas pipe where I live is against code. Silfos only. Nice pipe bending to bad it would be red tagged.
Not in the UK.
He has fitted that to the correct regs.
Why is a plumber using an electricians hammer? 😂😂
Это где медные трубы??
Всë в плесени, зато трубы медные...

Прошлый век
I was always told never use copper pipe for gas,it will Corode away, always use black pipe
That house will be pulled down before that copper rots away.
I didn't think that using copper was allowed for gas.
First, bending a gas pipe is forbidden. Second soft soldering is also forbidden.
Gas pipes can be bent but no more than 90 degrees. But your right about the soft solder that's never allowed
The pipe we are using in Uk are half hard for plumbing and Gas
No soldering gas lines
That’s not a gas pipe. Copper pipe is water. Gas is steel or galvanized, or plastic (can’t remember type).
LOL you don't use copper for gas pipe. It's not only dangerous, but it will corrode.
Use steel pipe, no galvanized pipe either.
Do no attempt to use copper or galvanized pipe for gas. It's a great way to have an explosion. A building inspector will not allow it. Be smart, hire a certified plumber to make any gas repairs.
Wtf 😂😂 are you on the same planet as us
Not sure what state you're in . Soft solding gas pipe illegal intexas
