I learned the books of the Bible so long ago no one had heard of mnemonics. We just repeated them over and over until we learned them. I added a sort of rhythm to them when I taught my kids.
@@Searching4Faith , so true. I was always puzzled in church when people didn’t know where the books of the Bible were located until I realized not everyone had the same church experience growing up. We were bribed with a tiny little Bible only about 2” square. If we memorized all the books of the Bible, we got that as a prize. I’m a sucker for books. Even teeny weeny ones.
This the 1st video of yours I've watched, you've got yourself a new subscriber! I loved this video. I don't have a journaling Bible. I'm still using the same Bible I've had since I was 6y.o. So I love seeing these videos on how to take Bible notes, how to organize & add references, & just beautifying & personalizing the Bible more. I would also love to hear more about your Christian studies degree & what that entailed. Thank you for this video!
Oh thank you so much for your sweet comment! I’m so glad you’re here. There really is something special about our older worn in Bibles too! Have you seen my Bible Collection video? I have a few of them myself. 😊 I’ll definitely work on the video sharing about my Christian studies degree.
I’ll check yours out! Thank you for watching. I’m fan-girling a little, because I’ve been subscribed to your channel through my personal account for years and love your videos! 😊❤️
We learned the books of the old and new Testament in a song as children. I still remember the one for the New Testament but can't get the tune in my head for the old. I am going to be singing this in my head all day!
I don’t know, but I remember all kinds of songs from my Bible school/Sunday school days, but I don’t remember learning the books of the Bible with a song. 🤷🏼♀️
Just found your channel and subscribed. Just wanted to comment that I always eyeball when I’m putting on Bible tabs. I don’t have the patience for using the measuring guide😂😂. Looking forward to watching more of your videos!
Hey, thanks so much for the video! I'd love to hear more about the highlighting setup for this bible, I love your note taking style, I'm very similar :)
I too don’t know what the mnemonic was for any of these, I do remember that the GEPC was easily remembered bc a study leader had a fascination with them so they were able to be memorized for their respective order. I think I memorized the general order of the books bc of using them for so many years, and learning about them as an adult in the Protestant and Catholic communities was like being a child again.
No, but there is some ghosting. But, I’ve found that any pen, highlighter or even crayon/pencil will ghost on Bible paper. If your interested, I did a huge Bible pen test you can check out. 😊
I know everyone loves those highlighters but I have discovered I’m not in love of the chisel point.. I much rather the diversebee ones that are more pointed and you can make like thinner or thicker by just holding different ways.
The Zebra Mildliner highlighters are dual point - they have a "fine" point on the other end. I don't use the chisel tip for most things, but I love the "fine" point end for highlighting/marking my Bibles.
I prefer a dual ended brush marker/highlighters. Highlighting with the brush is smoother for me (and I can letter with it) and I like the bullet tip for thinner lines and writing.

I love that! I was always good at memorizing things quickly for a test and then forgetting it. But, some things stick with you forever! 😊❤️

Thank you! I’ll work on a video showing that and explaining my method at some point. 😊

I learn the order of the bible by singing.
Really good video 😊
Thank you! 😊
Do the Mr pen highlighters bleed thru in your bible

Maybe I’ll try them out. Thanks for the tip! (no pun intended 😉)
