- Music is one of the key features that weave a captivating atmosphere. In a setting whose ambience has won the hearts of thousands, such details are especially important. Our composer Paweł Perepelica, along with the choir from Four For Music Ltd., strived to embody this atmosphere in the game's main theme.

It feels like that’s where all the quality is going, how ever the knew final fantasy is bussin, I get why fans would be upset that the formula was shakin up dramatically but for new players it’s quite the ride

Warhammer 40k soundtrack need to be their own genre.
We have been gifted with these composers by the Emperor so many times.
The people at Owlcat really understand how music and sound design in general can be so important in video games. Can’t wait for the soundtrack to be released! Aside from the Mechanicus game I’ve always been a little disappointed with most 40K game soundtracks, but it looks like this one’s going to be a winner!

Don't get your hopes up. The music in game almost certainly won't sound like this. It'll most likely be like Last Epoch which has a similarly badass main theme, but then the music in game is more environmental. ruclips.net/video/1xosfYHQIcQ/видео.html
@@SolarisKane have you played Wrath of the Righteous or Kingmaker? Those games had a kickass main theme, and a great general soundtrack. And it’s made by the same people.

I love how the soundtrack we can experience in the beta is its own thing. It doesn't try to be Mechanicus, it doesn't try to be Battlefleet Gothic, but is its own thing despite using what you'd expect from a 40K game (like choir and organ).
That main theme is deep and dark, I love it. Unlike Wrath of the Righteous it feels more bleak than heroic.

the whole thing is a choir and you can definitely hear organs, sounds cool as shit but FYI
agreed until wotr comment, there were some good soundtracks there, but the game is so long it feels a bit repetitive.

Huh. I almost found it kinda more optimistic or rather adventurous than most 40k music. Which, you know, fits perfectly for a Rogue Trader story.
It's uplifting and epic yet at the same time crushing and claustrophobic. Such an excellent job!

I hope the recent success of BG3 and all the new eyes it's brought to real RPGs will give Rogue Trader a boost when it releases - I'd love to see Owlcat rise as far as Larian have, they deserve it and have similar understanding of the real things that make games great: music, sound, characters, writing, and choices with consequence.

The ball is in Owlcat's court now. If they can deliver a similar experience as BG3 with their gameplay, story, writing and choices/consequences we have to make, they will rise high. After playing and finishing BG3, Rogue Trader's main theme, the companion trailer and the consequences trailer sold me on the game so far. I just hope they can deliver and it's not just smoke and mirrors. FF16 and BG3 has set the bar pretty high on what a quality game is in their respective genre this year and setting for less as a consumer would be a disappointment.
@@timezero8409 In my opinion they already delivered a better game in Pathfinder WoTr. I was way more ivested in that game than in BG3
@@mmanu6126 I know the Pathfinder TTRPG, but never heard of WotR until this week and that game was released during the Pandemic, so it should have been the talk everywhere since we were confined inside, but no, it wasn't apparently. Either Owlcat's marketing failed and/or the game isn't as good as you claimed it to be.

Just epic. I've been playing Warhammer 40k since the mid 90s and would like to thank Owlcat for creating a masterpiece like Rogue Trader with this music theme. Truly an experience.

A million thanks to the people at Owlcat Games for breathing some life back into our beloved CRPG genre. It’s so refreshing nowadays to see a developer (consistently!) produce games with such genuine care and passion…
I personally have never played a Warhammer game, but can’t wait to get into Rogue Trader. This awesome theme just reinforced that x100.

How did you load the game? It isn't even out yet.
@@TheHalcyonTwilight People who bought the higher tier of the game were first able to play the alpha (released in December 2022) and are now playing the beta version of the game (which covers the first 3 or 4 chapter ; I don't remember as I only did the tutorial the check the state of the game).

The music in this game is excellent. The sound design too, it feels Warhammer 40K.

Great game! And great music with it too! I was more into the total war/fantasy side of the warhammer universe and just getting into 40k, and my God is it just an epic
Started up the beta today was immediatly hooked by the music, was stuck in main menu for several minutes just listening and finding hope, the unknonw, who will I be? Played the game for several hours and Im loving it, its such a good and mesmerizing game. Cant wait to find out more when it hit release.

I generally find music tracks in games an annoyance and I'm not a music listener by choice at other times either.
But loved Mechanicus' music and love recognizing it on various fan vids etc. I guess AC:Black Flag but I do like a famous shanty

For me it was Darktide that raised the bar for the sheer variety of Imperial themed music. Mechanicus was up there as well, tho.

Baldur's Gate 3 is a whopper of a game, I hope Rogue Trader is as good and gains as much praise. The studios and publishing houses who make games how they should be made, should profit for their fair and ethical business practices and just the quality of product produced.
Забавно, что восхваляемый BG3 вообще не запомнился музыкой. Она, вроде как есть, но где-то там. А вот саундтрек RT цепляет с самых первых нот, дополняя каждый аспект игры. Потрясающее исполнение, прекрасные мотивы, неповторимая атмосфера.
anyone knows the lyrics? I could recognize only the first line "libera nos a haeresis" which is latin for "free us from heresy" and also the title "semper servientes" always serving at the end of choir. My latin sucks, can anyone help me?

I only wish they would be dressed in uniforms of the Imperium and the studio had candles and candelabras and all that, that would be instant classic not just for the fans of the game, but for anyone who ever heard of WH40K or choir singing.

Rogue Trader is in my top 3 this year with BG3 and Dave the Diver. I read that act 4 and 5 are a buggy mess, even sometimes blocking progression, so I hope you figure things out but my god, this game is a true love declaration for the w40 universe. The fluff is excellent, from basic w40k knowledge to very in-depth and deep lore that hardcore fan wants to see more often, the combat gameplay is also excellent. So thank you Owlcat for t hat and I can't wait to see the future patches and dlc.
