Open the back cover of the tab. Separate the LCD connector from the PCB board. Now clean the connector with metal tool.

how do you get the screen off.... what did you use? mine is not accessible as an edge opening, but comes up the side of the tablet.
So I can just clean strip with flat end of the tweezers? Was worried about scratching it!!

so, the LCD connector on my Pop 7 is fine. this particular LCD was originally connected to a different motherboard. but the board with my email account data for some odd reason the LCD will absolutely not display anything. any advice? Im in legit desperation mode right now...

Hello, I accidently squished my tablet a little when i put it in my bag with its case on and now when I touch the back a certain way or I put it in its case the screen will fade to white with bars or gray and black moving vertically across the screen. It isn't stuck on this white screen and goes back to normal if I move it a certain way. When it goes back to normal I can use my tablet perfectly. Is this just a loose wire or is there a way to fix it? It would be awesome if you could help

The connector had little stains of dirt, so i just scrubbed it off with a toothbrush.

@Paige Golf : It seems like loose wire. Open the back cover and check the connections.
I took the back off and all the wires seem to be in order.

I found websites suggestion long power-button hold downs, from 15 seconds up to 35 seconds to force full shut-down after which I plugged in power supply and waited 24 hours. My tablet was doing the white screen thing, a low-power thing. Perhaps your tablet goes purple for same reason. Try long power-button hold-downs, maybe with power plugged in for battery assist.

Yes!!! tho I couldn't find the LCD connected cause my tablet looks way different on the inside so that wasn't the fix I needed. come to find out the battery wire wasn't 100% right. it was just a hair crooked but pushing it straight got the job done for me. I would have never thought of that without seeing this video.

I tried this with a nextbook and I was not able to disconnect the battery. The LCD cable was accessible but the cleaning did not solve the problem.
My Tablet Guru can you give me a list of what I can use to clean the LCD connector because I don't think I have the tool you used to clean it.
Ducky44 Just use pure alcohol like isopropyl don't use hard stuff on film it will damage pins than it will be dead forever check again video you will see when it takes of cover you will see the ribbon cable is little bit already out see once again video ;)

My tablet was dead for three years because my charger port was broke.
When I finally got my charger port fixed this year, they told me that my screen was showing different color lines like a static channel.
They gave me a new screen because they thought it was the screen, but it still acted the same way.
They gave me my tablet back and said they can't do nothing about it. They had done everything they can to fix my tablet.
I'm not sure if I need new battery. Now my screen looks just like yours. It just shows a dim light white screen.
As your tablet was already operated by technicians. I doubt that this solution might fix your problem. To me look more like CPU issue, circuits must have been damage by moisture or carbon.
