I love seeing the joy in your face when you have come to realise that you have fixed the problem. Keep up the great work.
So true, every fix seems like the first. 🍻
Solving a problem is like a boost - and you're looking for the next one!
Agreed, the joy of fixing stuff is clear for all to see. I would only disagree in that he didn't get lucky, he never does, it's his methodical approach that reaps rewards.
100% agree
It's like scoring a goal
So many years repairing devices and yet it's the first time...every time. According to your face. Outstanding as always. Your success smile boosts everyone's moral!
I think that liquid damage was old and the drop likely knocked a ball loose in the area because of the weakened joints. Good call on the reflow! I also would bet that some moisture trapped in the IC caused it to blow it's ass out when hitting it with hot air. I have baked liquid damaged boards before rework that had chips I couldn't easily replace. Thanks for the video, very interesting one. I love following along troubleshooting with you. Becoming less of a challenge sometimes, maybe I am learning a thing or two!
I love that look on your face when you've had a big win. Must be very satisfying to have the skills so vital so many people's needs regarding data recovery
Alex, you really are "The Man" when it comes to tech repair and fault diagnosis with tech. Outstanding job once again, sir :)
Nice repair!
People should learn to use Google/apple cloud services to keep their data continuously backed up.
It's built into the phone and enabled by default.
No better feeling than an "unexpected" repair!
The phone companies really do their best to make the phones closed and unrepairable - still though, not water proof. Good job, Alex - the data are so often priceless for the customers! 🙂
You remind me of that old mantra “if you love your job you never work a day in your life”. However, I know you work with the public so that isn’t always true 😢 Thanks for providing all of the content of the repairs, I do it as a hobby and you’ve helped out immensely with both motivation and tips in your videos
Since i started watching ur videos i have really advanced my skills which has surprised my boss he doesn't want 2get reed of me . Hew ants mi at the workshop full-time. Thanks very much from uganda🙏🙏🙏
Alex a nice iidea. If you took and printed 4"x4" inch before and after screen shots of the repair site. To mail back with customers items. That would remove all doubt and 4 sure boost your customer ratings even more.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐😉👍Plus it would be another record of the repair.
I used to look after the estate of Blackberry devices for a large corporate. Lost count of the number of times a repair came in with "It just stopped working" tag, only to crack it open and all 3 water indicators to be red. One client even admitted eventually that their device got dropped into a pint of beer whilst drunk.
looks like this was water damage from before and fall just loosen that chip. customer may have never connected 2 things.
some time you just have to put your selfe in there shoos. his phone was dropt and now i can't turn it on. it's simple as that.
Great work on repair, as always
She dropped it alright. He forgot to mention it fell in the toilet. like most water damaged phones :-)))))
Nothing like a data recovery job that results in a fix for the device itself. Nice.
Great work. I loved the way you analyed it in resistance reading. Thanks bro for the knowledge.
"I've been lucky on that one" .... I'de rather say that experience and knowledge paid off again. Life told me that coincidences does not exists in this world ;)
Great job alex.
This my friends repair sent you the repair for your experience have been watching you and you are so skilled thank you 😀
Always loved your smile everytime you fixed a device!!! Cheers sir Alex from Philippines 🇵🇭 Learnt alot on you!!
Hi Alex, loved the video as always, great work. Can you please talk about university and the impact it had on your life? specially in electrical engineering as it's the major that i'm studying, and it's my first year. I would really love to know your opinion and i'm sure other will also. I really got interested in board repairs with your videos! thank you

I would what he does is atypical of a an engineer with a degree. The majority of us end up working for a major corporation doing complex developments in a highly bureaucratic environment. It can be really satisfying but this work he does is usually just something us engineers are jealous of. I'm in aerospace though so maybe it's different in other fields
Wow! Very well done. That was a great finish. Great job, Alex.
Top job mate, like others have mentioned seeing you get the satisfaction of getting a device up and running again for a customer is great, thanks for the video
Great job. Lucky, but your experience and skills helped a lot also and it worth every penny. 👍
Your the man!! I love how you tackle anything. Nice work.
A quick and ticklish fix! Loved it! The owner will be, should be, ecstatic!
He is happy, because he love what he do! And thats a gift.
Interesting, the corrotion was there and maybe the droping ended up causing the problem... You found the problem super fast, and make it looked easy!
@northridgefix after taking some inspiration from you and other youtube chanells i changed a mobile phone display, it didnt turn on after that, took me 3 days to figureout that the battery was low (sometimes im an idiot), it worked after charging the device. thank you for the tutorials
I love a surprise ending. Good on ya, Alex. Happy customer for sure
yes i saw your video again.. great work.
like a big kid on christmas morning when it worked,,,,, hope the customer is very happy

Such an inspiration learn as you go
Amazing😂 i like that reaction. Great smile and happy about your own work. Cool video, thank you and greets.
Awesome job Alex, loved the shocked smile. Easy win on this one!
The smile on your face says it all for me
Better than a factory in India 😁😁👌👌❤❤
We did it! Fantastic Job!!👍👍
the reaction after seeing the login screen is priceless., good job!
Some times it's better to be lucky than good. Great Job.
Maybe reflowing really just let off steam? Brilliant job regardless, thanks! :)
Good job! Happy days.
Such knowledge should be appreciated and taught to others . How much and how long it would be to teach me ? I'm serious . Please reply ?
Good job Alex!!
You can almost close your eyes and repair stuff now...MASTER NORTHBRIDGE
I am always defeated by electronics, seeing that joy of unexpected repair success was such a joy for me too
Awesome Alex
Whenever strange behavior occurs, remember rule number 1.
Rule number 1 says the customer lies. 🙃
Nice job. I bet that sound chip was the problem. I think CL may stand for Creative Labs. (guess).
Thank you Alex
Every time something new to learn from you. Tnx Alex for great fix ☺️
oh wow... excellent job
Best 👍
Love from INDIA❤
The magic of visual inspection. It takes only an experienced technician to archive this, not even an engineer. Know the difference!
Never underestimate your skills. Always go back to the KISS principle, you didn't get lucky your skill & experience told you were to look well done.
Always enjoy these. Great work! Cheers!
Great video, Thanks! When you check in diode mode and ohm mode were is the other lead connected on the board?
I would have had to check if the sound still worked just to satisfy my curiosity. That audio IC looked rough.
Doing it as a data recovery, the data is the only thing that matters. The rest of the phone is just there to support that one last task. It does not have to do anything else and should not be trusted to do anything else. The danger in a situation like this is the device is now repaired and the person resumes using it as if there as no problem. The reality is, the phone is on life support on borrowed time. The only thing anyone should do is backup the data and move on from the device. It's life is over.
Good job 👍
Just a question...
How you knew it's a hardware problem and not a software ?!.
Alex, sometimes I would like to double or triple thumbs up !
Awesome job alax 👊👊👊
Alex, you really are
Great work as always
Bonjour de la France à vous et au big boss .bonne journée
Interesting video. Always learning from you Alex, thanx again for sharing your work : )
Well deserved win there:)
Good job but I would've replaced that IC or at least reballed it before handing it to the customer.
Brilliant as always. Good job!
Love the vids! Keep em comming. 🙂
Nice job getting it running again.
I think it was your magic fingers Alex, the phone new if it didn't work you were going to operate on it lol. Well done mate.
Good man love the way you do it m8 keep it up dude
Warum macht man kein Backup, ist sogar kostenlos !
Alex ein Super Macher mit goldenen Händen !
Alex you face says it all. Excellent video. Just excellent
Excellent work =)
Nice easy fix! Good job alex
Awesome job thanks for the great content
great work
Great! It looked like a lot of dirt on the board. Contamination from the liquid?
Shouldn't the S20+ be protected against water ingress?
Nice fix. I would like to see more videos fixing smartphones
Its crazy how something like that can prevent it booting up. My old xbox 360s ethernet chip died causing the console to RROD, the kick in the teeth was i never even used the Ethernet or live.
You the man baby!
Awesome work!
Are u still looking for a tech?
Watching this on a S20+ 😊
you should have cleaned the board with isopropyl alcohal to clean the corrosion.
Good job mate 👍
Good job alex
Damn you're good, you turned a data recovery into a phone repair.
Experience + intelligence 🥳 please make more videos on mobiles and ps5....
You're the master
I am still amazed why people don't backup they're data to google
But great result as always
@@Markus-fw4px hoi Markus ik kom uit Nederland type foutje is zo gemaakt
