As "Reese" said in the film "there will be no next time".

I sometimes can’t wrap my mind around the fact that this was in 1947. In 73 years, majority of people went from literally wishing death upon a black man for playing baseball, to majority completely boycotting people and companies for any display of racism whatsoever. In 73 years the tables turned that drastically, and I genuinely think Jackie Robinson had so, so much to do with it. He was one of the first dominoes in the chain. So much respect for this man and his family. So much respect for anyone with as much resilience, strength, and heart.

I was present during the first 1955 world series game when he stole home and had been to dozens of his games during the course of his career. I'm proud to say I own his autograph. If Barack Obama were one tenth the man Robinson was, America would not be as divided as we currently find ourselves.

President Obama conducted himself with the same dignity that Robinson showed. Obama was the president of all the people, but some people couldn't get past the fact that he was black.
