As a tennis fan for a decade, I think Nadal has low chance winning RG. It depends on the fact that he could play Madrid or Rome, if not, no chance. He was trouble playing Felix last year, and he was much worse this year, so the players like Felix, Rune, Alcaraz or Sinner are more than enough to beat him. People could argue that he won 14 times but there would be a point to stop, and this year seems to be that point, I suppose. But ATP will not let that happen. They will fix the draw to let Nadal and Djokovic be in the same draw, not because I am scared that he could beat Nole, but because in order to have the highest percentage of winning a title, he has to avoid Alcaraz, who is highly likely the top 2 beside Novak, in order to reach the final and win the title. At the time of 2022 AO the rule was 2 weeks quarantine, nothing less nothing more, and negative test upon landing in Australia.

Nadal is not a perfect human and he has made mistakes. He never claimed to be the best. But the way he has conducted himself throughout his career is inspiring. Many kids will look up to him no doubt. No matter the score, he always shows respect to his opponents, never retires from matches - only when he physically can't go on, he hasn't smashed a single racquet in his entire career, despite everything he endures in a match (which shows immense maturity!) and he never starts controversies on or off court. Rafa speaks thoughtfully and maturely in his press conferences too.
All that and some people like Goatkovic will still desperately dig through and find things to hate on the guy and make him look bad.
