Greetings mortals! Welcome to the channel. I've played for V-Rising now for over 400+ Hours in both Early Access and Live, and here are some tips on how to get the best servants for PvP and PvE. As well as the best ways to use them to get loot.
Also note, these are just suggestions. Obviously you should use whichever servants you desire, though some perform better than others in PvP.

servants are the best loot mechanic in the game, and so few people utilize it because they are bad at compound interest and vampire entrepreneurship
I kind of disagree, the initial investment in most difficulty settings is not worth it. I would rather have high quality prisoners for feeding and go get it myself. It is only worth it in Brutal/PvP settings imho. Other than that, there are only handful of reliable uses: Fish/copper ore for late game/scourgestone
You can also craft Runes that allow you to teleport your subdued human to the nearest prison cell to avoid the tedious travel pains on foot/horse.

What servants are YOUR favorite?
HONORABLE MENTION TO THE 2h SWORD KNIGHTS IN SILVERBRIGHT!
Found a 100% war prietress (43% eff) and stuffed her to 87 for fun, Im on solo server with high multi on ressources. Have to test her fight skills by summoning some tough mobs. Since I putted the limit to 12 and 5 castles I'm grinding 96%+ of 2 classes of each region. Every 24 h now I got enough stuff to gear all the regions lol. Shame the skin of servant doesnt change with gear equiped. PS : 95% + mobs are much much rarer in T1 and T2 regions, but the respawn is quite fast. GL everyone!
Dark Temptress has to be my favorite
Veteran militia is #1 pvp base defense without exception, imo. What you need is not a servant that kind of does dps but is easy to abuse. You want a servant that gives you a chance to instantly kill attackers. My base has 6 clerics and 2 veterans. They can't die and sometimes get an attacker instantly killed.
Crowd control is king for SURE. Which is why I think the Pistol/whip slave masters from the silver mine are fantastic. their melee whip knockback attack (severely slows too) is devesating, and they usually chain it with their multiple buckshot too.
to make it more clear: only ONE servant needs to have the servant tag, and it applies to BOTH servants sent on mission
A tip for single players who don’t have a server online all the time since they host their own: Servant hunts use in game time, not real time. If a hunt takes 2 hours, your game will have to be running for 2 hours in order for the hunt to complete. Because of this, many single players use the config option when creating a server to increase the yield of servant hunts. This allows you to use shorter hunts without compromising your resource yield too much. Otherwise, it could take multiple IRL days for a long hunt to finish, depending on how long you play each day.
Edit: Adding to say disregard this. This issue was fixed with the update. Hunts now use real time instead of in game only.
I believe they changed that to work for solo play now too

The hunt in real time. I always send them off in the evening shortly before closing the game, and by the next evening, I have a nice stash of resources. If it's not too much trouble, could you kindly add an Edit to your comment?
Yes, servant countdown continues while logged out, I host a 2 player game server which is off when I log out. During the week day I just send the servants on a day long run. Come home, sort and deposit and send them out again.
I always send someone out for the 3 fishing missions. You can never have too much fish and its so annoying to get on your own.

@@eightninety. You definitely will. I put in for some vacation at work since i've been workin like crazy. Next couple weeks ill have a lot more time to pump some vids out. Gonna be doing PvP builds, my take on base locations, Base building optimization (for aesthetics and efficiency), PvP Base defense strategies, and if i have enough time I'll also do videos dedicated to each weapon. "Why you should love the ____" and go over different uses and builds using each weapon.
expertise tooltip is clear on hover
expertise gives:
+that much % damage
+that much % HP
+half that much mission loot
so at max 44% expertise, you get +22% more loot, as valuable as having the correct servant tag

ty very much for this minion guide! With the release on PS I jumped in the game and its great - I love it! But its also hard to find good guides which are not 2 years old. ;-) Most of the guides are PC and they played the game already 2 years ago, it seems. but never the less - I am very happy the game is on console now and ty again for the guide.

Servants don't drop gears maybe in the future
yes they do. They will drop their gear that you put on them in PvP.
they only drop what's in their inventory, not gears. unless it's a merciless pvp server, then i have no clue about that
@@kai666ma Can confirm, they do NOT drop the gear they have equiped. My servants died 3x times yesterdays raid :D none dropped its items equiped
Quick question, for solo players, does the timer keep going whilst the game is not running? Or will it take 8 hours of real time active play in order to complete a mission?
Solo play is basically having your own server running locally, so yes, it must be running for the timer to go on. Although it would be quite simple to make another time variable to check the time difference between last time the server was running and the present time, then update all timers.
@gustavonomegrande this is incorrect. As of 1.0 the game checks the clock as soon as the server is up.
@scott5211 yes, you don't need to have your server running at all times for a mission progress to count.
Can confirm, while things like ore processing or garden growth do not progress, your servants will be back the next day. It’s very thoughtful of them.

You technically can, just feeed some prisoners some gruel. They might not last forever in your base though :)

My goon squad at home is 2 paladins, 2 light weavers, 2 succubus, 1 nun, 1 cleric.
What servant combo would you recommend for defense with a limit of 5 total servants?
For reference. I currently have 2 paladins 2 nuns 1 lightweaver

I’d prioritize 2 clerics, and either 2 paladins or vampire duelists, and a lightweaver. However turns out the slave masters in the silver mine (with the pistol and whip) are a lot better than I thought

what is that succubus servant you have? i never seen one that looks like it and i have gotten some succubi servant, without the horns. Is it like a seperate skin?

@@remortisgaming okay, i finally figured it out. You have a dark temptress, i kept finding night maidens, they essentially seems to have same skillset but look slightly different
@@Ichigimy What's the difference in their skillset?
@@remortisgaming I am still trying to find that out, but overall they seem to do very similar, if not the same stuff. They both have charm, close range attack and flight to get to a different position. While Dark temptress as a mob drops better loot and is found later in the game, i think if you get both of 100% as servants they would serve same purpose. I will keep checking it as i just started encountering the dark temptress, but so far they seem to be essentially the same, temptress just drops more end game loot if killed
Is there an easy way to get servants with high expertise? I'm having trouble locating creatures that have high blood quality and are humanoid. Additionally, they are often heavily guarded by high-level paladins, making it difficult not to kill them while dealing with the others.
Yeah you just gotta kill off the mobs around the high blood %. The vampire ability Tristan gives you lets you see blood % easier and can even use it while riding a horse
I had a militia archer that shot fire arrows and their fire would set me on fire but didn't actually do any damage to me. Same went for the other servants i had. It would look like they were burning, but their health wasn't going down.

Ngl i would also grab the shield stun guys from the first 2 zones cause they can be a pain in the middle of fight than that guy out of nowhere puts its shield and stuns you.
There is a funny meme servant setup which is all silver light rifleman

Honestly, after investigating a bit more after posting this vid, the pistol slave masters in the silver mine are lowkey crazy. They also are a firing range, have a melee AoE cleave knock back that slows for 90% and then use a multi shot attack
there is a reported bug now, when you kill a servant and revive, it re-rolls expertise btw
did you mention holy resistance potion? If you defend against new players who dont know about it, 6 lightweavers+2 healing servants are hilarious. It is 100% countered by holy resistance potion tho. If you defend against players who use potion, you either use militia brutes+musketers for damage or just 8 healers and fight yurself. like 2 clerics+1 priest+1 nun on each side of the entrance.
did i miss something what is Minthara 1:14 like how do i get that servant
It’s the succubus, exsanguinator are the vampire duelists whose name I always forget. You can find them in the t4 prison carriages or in the ruins of Mortium. They spam a charm ability which is a homing red ball and will make the target walk towards them in a cc. They’re really annnoying
Those are the Temptress. Part of the draculine faction, find a bunch of them in the ruins of mortium area
In the video you mentioned that you can have a max of 9 servants. I have Castle Heart 5 and i can only place 5 servant coffins, is it a server setting or did they nerf it in 1.0
They nerf it before you could have 8 servants but it was too op
duo servers have fewer servants; it’s still 9 by default and on quads servers
Pretty sure default is 8. I think solo servers have less. But I believe duo and above only have 8.
But yes server settings can modify the amount of servants you can have.

For current PVP Meta is 4x Cleric and 4x Lightweaver because you need heal/shield and AOE damage. Paladins or Knights are not good servants because they follow and attack melee the enemy and die easily with explosive bombs.
It depends on when you release your servants. You gotta use them wisely.
I mostly play solo so servants require me to leave my computer running overnight to do long hunts. So I dont really use servants.
I’m pretty sure that’s not the case anymore. People are reporting that they will do their missions even if you’re offline. But also y out could just use the 2hr missions while you play since those are the most effective anyways

If the pistol version (rogue) retained their whip attack, they’d be nuts. The warrior slave master is absolutely awful. At least the pistol retains their multishot attack.

Ah must be the setting on one of my servers cause they dropped loot when I killed their servant, unless they had it randomly holding extra gear

@@JessChillN_ might just be your servers settings if it’s a custom server, but solo/duo might only be 5.
never use the male paladins they are slow, the brute cleric is better choice, she can stun heal, shield, and damage.
Use both.

there is NO NEED TO GET SERVANTS AND HUNT if u playing with ur friends or pve i mean. the game has no playing field outside of BOSS battles, except JUST CASTLE building. there IS NOTHING ELSE TO DO other than that.
