    Im kindly requesting for assistance on this one please. On mechanics of machines, the topic is hoists and drums.
    A mine cage of mass 800kg is to be raised from a depth of 120m to ground level using a hoist drum of mass 120kg and radius of gyration 0.6m. The drum is 1.4m and the speed reduction gear ratio is 12:1 with an efficiency of 85%. A balance mass of 100kg is to be used. The mass and radius of gyration of the motor rotor are 20kg and 0.4m respectively. The mass of the hoisting rope is 1kg/m. Determine the power drawn from the hoisting motor if the velocity and acceleration of the cage at the start of its motion are 5m/s and 0.8m/s^2 respectively

      young modulus. its a constant number for steel. it ranges from 190GPa to 210GPa in a room temperature
