I wish all doctors were like Dr Shepherd.

It is frustrating that more attention was not paid, during the early stages of the pandemic, to the experience of the MECFS community and also the experience of countries who dealt with SARS-COV-1 in 2003-04 (e.g. post-viral experiences in Canada). It may have meant that those of us who contracted it in the earlier years could have had more understanding and help. Hopefully this will not be the case again.
Totally agree with using long covid as an umbrella term, and we need education for medical professionals that long covid has a variety of manifestations (and does not always involve respiratory issues).

Good review thank you. I would add, greater practice and acceptance of mask wearing with good quality ffp2 and 3 grade masks in crowded indoor settings including health settings. There is good evidence now that they reduce risk of transmission. Having worn a well fitting ffp3 during over 100 hospital appointments for cancer treatment in 2022, I am personally convinced.
