Nice job sir. This piece by Ren touched so many and changed the way we think about the effects of psychosis. Ren's journey and the journey he has taken us on is just inspirational.
Is it psychosis to know there is a battle of good an evil in oneself? Or is it true, and people like you call it psychosis to discredit the actual battle of the soul?
@@buxe4042 What sort of inane statement is that? And who are you to criticise another persons view on psychosis? I have spent 5 years with a partner who suffered psychotic manic (violent) episodes. Go back and listen carefully to Hi Ren. At 7:55 he clearly says he suffered from psychosis. Where is your brain at?
@piwaka50 my brain is at the thinking part. It's clear there is a battle between good and evil in his mind. Psychosis would be unaware of that battle. He is aware. Where did I criticize anyone...? You just looking to argue?
@@buxe4042 Right here moron:- "Or is it true, and people like you call it psychosis to discredit the actual battle of the soul?" THAT is not only criticism it is argumentative.
Great compilation! There are some on here that I've never seen, which is impressive, because I've watched an awful lots of reactions to this seminal masterpiece.
I've watched Hi Ren over a hundred times and I have probably watched as many reactions to it....I like watching how people react to it their first time thru. You can always tell the ones that either have mental health issues, addictions, or physical health issues (I suffer from all 3)... It just touches us in a different way because that IS our story. It's what we go thru every single day. And Ren just articulated it so well... And so beautifully!
Thank you so much that was great because it was not a reactors overload. I actually got a feel for all their reactions and saw some new ones too. I would like you to do some more compilations of around the same amount of people but with different other reactors and still to Hi Ren because it is interesting to watch the different reactions to the one song. Could I suggest Trash Talkers, Rykerroad, Cedric and Brian, Three Shades of Whatever, SueSueandthewolfman, The Westlands (Official), Drink and Toke, and Akonzip Zippy TV. All are couples+ apart from Zippy but he is so upbeat he has to be there lol. Blessed Be.
Youvejustturneddownrykersroad! Hell yeah man +1 on them and trash talkers! I was surprised Knox wasn’t on here tbh. He’s the one I think of when it comes to ren reactions specifically. I mean, they even became friends
I’m 44. I can still remember the emotional impact so much music had on me in my teens and 20s. As I grew older and understood more about composition and technical skill, the music that used to uplift and soothe me, that used to commiserate with me and share my hopes and dreams and angst and misery became music that I more stoically appreciated. I was convinced I would never be touched by a song ever again. “Hi Ren” proved me wrong. Thank you for moving this disillusioned old man to tears.
I'm right there with you. 46 years on this earth, and I don't even really like this kind of music. I'd never normally gravitate to it, but it matters. This is music as a message, not just made for commercial popularity. And I want to make perfectly clear that there is nothing wrong with music made for commercial popularity, it can still be good music. But music is a universal language that every human can understand. Even with a piece of music where the lyrics tell a story, you don't really need to understand the words. The message is conveyed, albeit in a lesser form. I feel like Ren is an artist that is capable of conveying that type of message. It's music with something to say, even if you don't comprehend it.
That ZEN moment, when the voice in your head goes quiet.and there is nothing left to say. THAT is is what proves what Ren has said is THE Truth, Mot just A truth, it's THE Truth
