the reason the star child is so heavy is because stars irl are insanely dense and have extremely strong gravity due to that and their mass

Yeah the only issue i had was the moveset, it just didnt feel that fun to control, and while i sometimes like preciseness, it isnt fun when your characters gravity is set so high. I personally play platformers a lot for the moveset and the puzzle aspects, but i can tell that stars align is a lot focused on story which i can understand!
The worlds we have seen sneak peeks off seem to take the moveset into a lot of consideration so i wouldn't worry too much about that, wonder when we will hear more about logblock ;P

The main issue with the Stars Align engine demo, as multiple people have said before, are the controls. Tighter, more direct controls CAN work, but it's VERY clear that the platforming is based off of, say, the 3D mario games, I.E games that were BUILT around more slippery controls. Not TOO slippery, but slippery ENOUGH to the point where you're given more wiggle room with the physics rather than feeling like you're playing as Sisyphus if he decided it'd be better to carry the boulder on his back. This is ESPECIALLY clear when more challenging parts of the platforming come to play, it just doesn't FEEL right.

This game already looks amazing, and when I saw the gameplay, I felt sad and happy at the same time. Both because it is in the same vein as adventure forward, which I played a lot, as well as AHIT, or A Hat In Time. I loved this game, seeing another game like it with just as beautiful characters, level design, music, etc really makes me happy, I know it sounds dumb but I may have almost shed a tear as AHIT is a game I hold very close and I’m glad I can experience it again in a new way. Also, they better play a remix of The Calm for the final fight to call back to the Celesteal fight in Adventure Forward 2

This game is amazing! I just finished playing the demo now and it was honestly pretty fun and it felt like playing any other regular platform game not on Roblox.

as a person who played PTTT:GS multiple times right before trying this demo I still can’t get used to the dash button being Shift instead of Q.

I did play and tried to make a vid about it but the vid got glitch and only now shows the last 9 minutes with the audio file is 45 minutes long! :(

Well the demo sucks becuse you can't get past waterworks becuse of the force walk bug.
Sad for me i cant play it right now cause i can only pak on weekends but i play it as soon as i can, cause from just the gameplay and music from this video, i already know its gonna be amazing

The game is really cool and all, but the only thing I *REALLY* dislike is how Starchild bounces off the wall then causing them to fall, which results in a harder gameplay than being simple..

Move set after canceling was added and gravity seems perfectly fine to me. The gravity feels pretty similar to normal Roblox. It's disappointing that the developers won't add content as hard as Citadel to the main game even though it's really easy. I find Mount Awesome fun though so I can't really relate to how the general public feels about the difficulty.
Canyon has zero precise jumps if you are not speed running. Citadel and Waterwork jumps aren't really precise either. I can do them without concentrating. The only precise jumps are in Mount Awesome.

yknow, one thing I find weird is how a jump + dive goes further in most cases than a long jump
Long jump is more of a traversal ability allowing yiu to move faster, uncontrollable though, jump plus dive can be cancelled and is higher
It feels really not fun to play

The moveset is the only underwhelming part of the demo, excluding the sixth level, which is actual hot garbage. An example of a good roblox platformer moveset would be Find Everything. The speed and combo potential in that game is unmatched.
Oh my goodness I've seen you in different stars align videos just hating on it. I even saw you create fucking paragraphs at some point on why "oh stars align is too different from ra3 wah wah wahhh" .
If you dont like the game this much just fucking, like quit paying attention to it already. all you do is make the devs feel like shit.
The literal point of the last level is that it is hot garbage. The devs made for those who want to challenge theirself to the point of Jupiter’s Tower of Hell.
