Bee suit, wasp suit, hornet suit……WHATEVER!! There is NO WAY I would be caught dead or alive near these things. Kudos to you sir. Greatest admiration and respect.
It is very easy to remove such a nest yourself. Get a workshop vacuum cleaner, mount the inlet 2 inches away from the entrance of the nest and let it run for a couple of hours sucking up every incoming and outgoing wasp. The wasps don't realize they are under attack and stay calm. And when the nest is fully depopulated, you can remove it without danger. I did this already three times this year.
Still attack. If you are close enough to them. And you really do not have to be next to the nest to be stung. The only time I have ever been stung was inside my home.
They won't bother with you if you don't fuss with them. I've had one about 20 feet up in a tree year after year for the last ten or so years. Get the occasional wasp buzzing around your head but for the most part they don't bother anyone. I just worry about my dogs agitating them somehow, barking might trigger them, who knows. So far no issues, knock on wood...
We had a huge nest in our barn they never bothered us. It was up 10 feet in the rafters. They would crawl around the nest but never stung us. We never threatened them.
I have a wrap around porch on all three sides of my house that wasp nest love to build. I keep a monthly check and get them before they get too big. I also do the same to my workshop.
My preferred product for dealing with Bald Face Hornets was D-Foam. It expands like shaving cream and prevents ANY hornets from getting out of the nest. After shooting the main entrance for about ten seconds I would poke the injector into various spots on the nest and shoot those and fill the entire nest in the expanding foam.
I find hornets to be fairly scary but they have never bothered me like wasps do, wasps seem more curious and a bit more aggressive than hornets. I find that a hornet will fly into an area and make a much larger buzzing sound than a wasp. That could be more scary for most, but then the hornet usually just flies away while the wasp seems to hang around.
What do you mean it's impossible to get rid of the whole nest? Hot Soapy Water will Remove it & a Pressure Washer & if still need some use Chlorine & Hot Water then Rinse It!!
Wow. My peppermint oil comment got deleted. Hornets hate the smell of peppermint and honeygrass essential oils, will not build nest there. Just put some on a folded up napkin or paper towel and hang it where they have had hives.
@@wanwood360 I’ll take that as a no….Lol. I have! In the eyelid…. I hurt like hell and swelled shut. It took steroids, antibiotics and antihistamines to recover

I'd imagine a hundred bucks should get someone out to do it. Maybe 200 at the very most. Depends on your local economy. Probably best to call around to local guys.
