- Initially recorded as a live jam with:
- 2x DFAM (lead, bass, some percussion, and additional kicks)
- Tr-8 (all the main drums)
- Korg Minilogue (a higher pitch synth "talking" to the bass DFAM at the beginning)
- FX and post-processing in Ableton.
this video has no right being this good for how simple the footage is, perfect direction.

Привет. Ритм супер как и трэк в целом!!! А клип вобще гениальность в простом как говориться...! Мне DFAM оочень ниавится...но пока я его не юзал сам... и вот вопрос во многих видео он и ещё не один аппарат для драмсов...можно ли на DFAM накрутить всю драм партию например как в этом видео? Есть waldorf blofeld , хочу синт для ударников. Извини если вопросы запутали:)
korg elektribe спс. Та все ок. Уф, ну здесь сложно. 8 степов для полноценной драм партии может быстро стать скучным. Смотря что играть. Дифам может намного больше, чем просто драм, хотя на многих видео это не показывают. Поэтому взял его не как драм машину. А такое как навидео это только эмуляторами 808 и тд. Ты даже сам захочешь его юзать как не драм синт часто, если возьмешь :)
Вообще эта коробка круче не для джемов, а для продакшена и нарезки партий и ван шотов в DAW, тогда он способен на абсолютно все. У меня здесь есть полные треки из него как из единственного ресурса. Дфам как драм вот здесь больше всего виден: (но конечно он может намного больше перкуссионных звуков, чем на этом видео; но далеко нк всегда одновременно, вот в чем подстава) :

(Кстати, свой второй дифам думаю продавать и менять на что-то еще)
Спасибо за объёмный ответ!!! Я и пологал , крутить на нём звук и записывать в DAW больше для драмов и перкуссии т.к понравился (Kick) но очень мало видео где можно наглядно видеть- слышать (klap, snare ..) а хэты кстати тоже супер!!! Иногда люди джемят по долгу , но кроме различной свистящей перкуссии ничего нет. Надо поискать семпл паки с ван шотами чтоли.. А где кстати продать хочешь..?.если прав понял. Я из Эстонии)

What's your thought on TR-8S + DFAM? I'm about to get into hardware (running Ableton now) and I 'm definitely getting a DFAM/Edge and looking a matching drummer - Digitakt/Analog Rytm/Machine drum/TR-8S/...etc. What made you go with TR-8S?
Hey. This is actually tr-8. Not tr-8s. I just love its interface. The most simple and immediate drum machine I suppose. I'll maybe have the S later. Still not decided. Cuz tr-8 has much less features but is (therefore) much more straightforward and immediate. You'd need to check features for both and decide for yourself.
All the machines you've listed are great. But they are all different.
If you need classical 808 909 synthesis - I'd go with AIRAs (tr8 or tr8s).
If you need to use samples I'd pick a Digitakt.
You could also jam with a live dfam + your own dfam's pre-saved separate samples simultaneousely if you pick digitakt, tr8s, or rythm.
Please mind that dfam has no midi sync though. I sync it via cv from my modular case. Edge btw does have midi.
@@EY-zz7xj Ah, missed that. It's tricky to get a feel for the machines thru videos and the tactile aspect is what's made me leave a 100% DAW setup in the first place. As I'm new in hardware I'm sure any of them have more than enough features so more important is to find something that's inviting, quick to get going and have a (reasonably) logic interface. Good point of being able to use my own DFAM-samples (d-takt/rytm/tr8s).
The smart choice between DFAM and Edge seems like Edge - midi, way cheaper, very similar sound quality, but... emotions says DFAM.
@@Havreringar yep, I’m sure dfam is way more esthetically inviting and is way more pleasant to …touch :D
But edge should be way more functional indeed.
Btw Tr-8 was my first box ever. And for me it was just the right choice for the first step.
Yeah, you never know by yt vids until you try. From my experience each device I get is much better than it seemed from yt :)
Also, Modern roland aira family looks shitty though. Unfortunately :)
Tr8s to me has a bit more pleasant design, but this is only if comparing to tr8 :)
