- ➡️ Barcelona remain in second place in the La Liga table and are now just five points off the top thanks to a hard-fought 1-0 win over Las Palmas at the Montjuïc Olympic Stadium on Saturday night. Barça were the better side all night and played against 10 men for over an hour, but could never put the game away and had to go through some tense moments at the end. But they got all three points which was the main goal, and they’ll now have 10 full days to focus on the Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain knowing they are still alive in the domestic title race.

First thing I look after a barca match
I don’t see how we didn’t play well today, we were dominant today in all aspects. We only lacked the finishing touch which is more of an individual issue, rather than a team playing poorly.
We had an “offside” which was ridiculous and we had two shots hit the post so this was in no way a poor or disjointed performance. We were dominant, only thing that’s deceiving is the score line.

Las palmas made the field so small . Like very small . Yes we coulda done more but losing 1 man made them go full out on defense on only 2-3 players went up the pitch to attack. The best we could do was play the ball behind that line of like 6 players
The toxic fans and bloggers still want raphinha to go. The works he puts in is something I appreciate. We can't put our full trust in the under 20 players to play seasons after seasons.

You are not "toxic" just because one has a different opiion 😂😂. Hard work doesn't equal class. Barça paid 60M (!) for this player, instead of spending like 45M on Diaby, who is fast, can play both wings and still is technical. Would've been a whole different deal. Same as 50M for Kounde, just to play him as RB instead of spending 20M for Arnau. This club has financial issues, must act smart, but instead selling future property to buy players that are not even worth the money.

For the first time in a long time, I found your match review of this match least accurate.
This was BY NO MEANS an average performance from Barca. We were dangerous, a lot of stupid referee decision, a marvelous moment from Felix that gave us a goal and a class defensive performance led by Cubarsi.
Canceló, and Kounde were perfect, Lewa and Yamal were understandably jaded but Raphinha was unbelievable.
I think the reason why we struggled just a little bit to score after the red card was because Las Palmas changed their high line to a low block after that red card.
We would have scored at least a goal or more today anyway because that's how confident we were.
I love your realistic review of Barca this season but I disagree with your viewpoint in this one.

Kevin I have to disagree with u today about the team performance. It was not a flat performance rather it was a good balanced performance. Yeah we should’ve been 3-4 nil up but u know apart from scoring we created numerous chances and the defense was top notch again. Also we shall give some flowers to sergi Roberto as well. He has been playing well surprisingly last couple of games. And gundo, raphinha and cubarsi were phenomenal. Hope this form continues! Visca Barca!

Bcuz he doesn't track back and help with defending. Especially on a side where Cancelo is high up the pitch. That left side of the defense will be heavily exploited. The one time Las Palmas threatened in the second half was on that left side and Felix was not tracking back. Ter stegen was furious.

Completely agree, unfortunetly. He does absolutely nothing. He takes away from the team more than he gives, unfortunately. No movement, no nothing and complains he doesn get enough ball.
