Just loving how heavy they went with this song, both the instrumentals and the lyrics.
While the lyrics and video definitely tackle war and indoctrination in general, it's a very heavy nod towards the Ukraine conflict. Especially judging by the opening shot of the Kremlin, the "Z" patches on the arms and the propaganda component Sharon talks about in the interview.
I hope their new album (when it comes out) is just as heavy!

See, I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought that. But it is a very strong and powerful song! Well said, I like it and I too am looking forward to the next song! Thanks man 😊

Sharon del Adel has clarified actually that this song is about a soldier who goes to war, brainwashed by government-controlled media. He believes that he's fighting for just cause, convinced that he'll be welcomed as a hero when he gets back. But it turns out that those were all lies and he's being seen as an invader.
So this song applies to current war in Ukraine, but it also applies to totalitarian regimes in general: Russia/USSR, China, Nazi Germany, North Korea... The list goes on forever.
