Eastman Mandolins Shootout (MD-415BK, MD-315, MD-615GB)

Because of their incredible sound and value for the price, I have owned several of ‪@eastmanguitars‬ mandolins. A while back I did a comparison video between my MD-315 and my MD-415 Blacktop, looking for input on which one I should keep, if I were to give one up to make room for the MD-615 Gold Burst that was on it's way to me at the time.
I did not see either of those instruments, although I am still contemplating selling one or both to help pay for a new (old) Yamaha guitar. But I also didn't make a video introducing the 615, and there were some comments that the last comparison video wasn't on equal terms because my go-to mandolin whereby had more wear on the strings.
So I replaced the strings on all 3 with ‪@Stringjoy‬ coated phosphor-bronze mediums. And the I tried to play as similarly on all three as I could manage.

Nice video. Thanks for sharing. Eastman makes nice instruments. The MD 315 satin finish looks cool and sounds very nice. Wish more builders would use satin finish.🎸🎸🎸 All 3 sound awesome ! Understand why it's hard to let one go .

They all sound great to me!
Thinking of going with a 315 and getting some nicer tuners. It holds up well in all the comparisons i see on YT. 👍🏻

I love my 315. Upgrading the tuners is a good idea, though. The tuners are the only real complaint I have about the 315.
