Hey, beautiful setup, but I think it’s very small. The gecko is 12cm long and has to live in the space 30x30x40cm (20cm is soil the gecko can’t use), and only two branches, non of it horizontal… I don’t think an animal would choose this over the rainforest. And btw in Germany we keep these guys in a harem, but they need space then :)
Hey Josh thanx so much I love to watch u decorate a tank , I hope u show us the gecko in its new tank ..keep us up dated plz thanx josh great video!!!!
Apologies in advance if this is something you’re aware of, but p. Laevis orange and p. Laevis “dairy cow” are probably not both actually p. Laevis. No one in the hobby has gotten them to cross breed and not for lack of trying. It seems like one is an imposter. So i would expect one to outcompete the other eventually. Although I’ve heard of people keeping them together and them maintaining equal populations.
So I have been watching a TON of bioactive set ups because I really want one at some point but I have a (probably dumb) question. How do the plants you don't put in the dirt survive?
The plants in this video that we placed in the wood decor are Bromeliads, which are considered "air plants". They don't require the soil to strengthen their roots and grow. However, we do recommend wrapping their base with Sphagnum Moss to hold in the excess moisture. As long as you provide the proper lighting spectrum and mist directing it to their inner axle, they will continue to flourish.
I keep three pairs. I didn’t know that was difficult. I just bought three males and three females from different sellers at a reptile fair, put them together, and now, six months later, two pairs have mated. They always stay side by side, but I have noticed the male sleeps outside the hide, even though there’s lots of space.
Are you going to do a vid about prepping large pieces of wood found outside? also if you cant use thre oven to sterilize soil how would you do that? ive tried mixing in boiling water but it didnt work. boiling water cools off to quickly as you stir in in.
Hi,im thourily enjoying your video's, and going to be getting my first Crested Gecko in a bioactive setup. My question is do you ship bioactive substrate to the UK. Thanks
I have a giant day gecko and looking to set it up in a 24x18x36. Help me dude, my baby gecko isn't thriving and is very upset. A Lil happier than a couple days ago but still, he went from letting me pet his chin to avoiding my hand completely. It now darts off every time I try to get near and I think it stopped eating, even turns its head away from the pangea. Help , any one, please
My giant day geckos ear holes are clogged up is this something to worry about? I have tried switching the vivarium/cleaning tank and giving him calcium supplements already. Nothing has helped
I have a pair of gold dust day geckos set up in your bioactive products. I love watching them. They are on my office desk.

Put the duct tape on the bottom, not top of the hole so the gecko doesnt stick to it
Gotcha, thanks for your insight dude.
Hell yeah love seeing a new enclosure build they’re the best 🙏
More to come!

Hey Josh, I 'd love to buy your products, but unfortunately it seems you do not ship to Europe 😢.
We are working on receiving the proper permits allowing us to do so, in due time! We appreciate your support even from afar!

Do you currently have any 24 x 18 x 36 exo terra terrariums in your physical store? I cant seem to find any place that sells them.
