Yo your mom seemed spot on with pac being depressed. I grew up in that Era and 😔 was something no one really talk about. Especially in our community. So it never once dawned on me he was crying out for help. To us he was just telling all our stories about life where we come from. But man she hit it on the head
Never occurred to me before either, but the words are right there pretty much. He lived a crazy life in just 25 years. That just does nit even seem real that he was that young
When you listen to Pac, you don't just hear Pac, you _feel_ Pac! That's why your mom cries at his songs. Eminem called Pac the GOAT songwriter because of the way Pac was able to evoke emotion from his listeners with his words and his voice.
Yeah usually I wouldn't have ever even attempted but I saw people of her age group were listening to 2pac on YT. Thought she might be able to get it with the heartfelt stuff
His mind was in jail... he felt stuck mentally from the pressures. He was dying to get from under Suge Knight for sure. Pac was one of the greatest. He was so much more than what was seen by the public. ❤
you guys have really great chemistry, it's being a wonder to watch the video. even more because you feel what I feel when listening to Pac. much love, gonna keep watching now! 😊
Of course, BTW I love his stuff where he was targeting bad boy, Nas, mobb deep everyone. That's my favorite version of pac I was just trying to warn my mother of how different He will be in those songs when we get to them, lol.
Makaveli once said, "The only way to defeat your enemy is to fake your own death"... With him calling himself Makaveli...that raised a lot of eyebrows too!! Enjoy ya reviews, brother.
Stevie wonder song is "that girl" one of my favorites. And when brother Tupac made this song I was rough going through some things at age 14 and I understood brother Tupac and DMX when he came out. Alot of us black kids born in the 81" and a few years after we're going through alot during the crack era. We were just trained to hide it and be tough and rough and all that we went through sticks with us till the end of time 😤😔🙏🏾🙏🏾💪🏾💪🏾✊🏾✊🏾
2Pac "Only God Can Judge Me". I think your mom would appreciate that one. Another artist you should introduce her to is Scarface "I Seen A Man Die". Face's storytelling is second to none.
Yeah I love only God can judge Me, we will get that one probably in the next few weeks. I haven't heard that much Scarface tbh but I do know of some that are very good from the Diary
Watching someone getting turned on to PAC never gets old.. We all remember the first time hearing him and song not counting I get around .. Trapped was the one for me
He wrote this song when he was like 23 can you imagine he really was an old soul, he had a song where he's 21 and says will i live to be 23 that is so sad.
You say he didnt die in his sleep, but there are rumors that he was killed while in a coma at hospital. He often mentioned being killed in his sleep, and even mentioned specifically having his IV poisoned while laying in a hospital bed. That song was called Only God can judge me 👍
I enjoyed your reaction, keep up the good work....don't ever get discourage from the negative commits. At least you have the courage to do these reactions.
The lyrics are symbolic. It’s for ANYONE who’s going through similar circumstances, in a certain environment. He had flaws, but we all do. The purpose and message of the song is empathy and relatability
Oh thats true. I forgot about the beef between 2pac and Suge vs Dre towards the end. I think if Em and Pac would have met and that was the first time 2pac saw Em they would have been cool. Obviously Em would have showed Him nothing but respect, but if 2pac heard of Eminem without meeting Him first I could see him going at Him just b/c of the Dre association possibly. Would have been insane for rap for that to be a feud but again I don't see eminem really disrespecting Pac even if Pac went after Him. Of course Pac would not have heard of Him til 99 and by then the beef with Dre could have been over with. What could have been, damn.
Thanks..TimelessClassic..The Reaction Was Dope..Insightful..Real And From The Heart..Like His Lyrics..Respect..I Recommend "Unconditional Love"..It's Great vibrations..God bless..
You have to react to "WHO DO YOU BELIEVE IN" by 2Pac. The names he gives in the song are real and the instances really happened. I think your mom will like it.
Hold up. If you pay attention to a lot of Tupacs music and even interviews, he was struggling a lot. You can see he was depressed and even hopeless. The world wasnt what he thought it would be. He was disappointed. And the world kept slapping him in the face despite him having a good heart. That whole bad boy image thing was him damn near giving up. But that's not who he truly was. That was him letting the anger take over and just not giving an f anymore. Its sad. Even the beefs werent that organic in my opinion. Just him shooting (metaphorically) at people because he was angry and letting himself be used by the industry and suge knight
It's very sad how it ended. I never really thought that he was depressed but it's clearly right there in lots of lyrics. Now that I've started breaking songs down its just really obvious
I have a suggestion..let your mom listen to this whole "me against the world" album..then his interviews..then the hard stuff then i believe your mom will get the whole context 👍🏾
I love that you're doing this with your Mom. But please invest in some mics so the comments can be heard better. To answer your Mom's question conscience rap does not sell. There is a theory that the heads of the music labels got together and made the decision not to promote positive (conscience) rap and decided to push "Gangsta Rap" because it would be more profitable. So ever since then there has not been a balance to the masses.
Yeah I know about the mics. Didn't realize until I edited them later so sorry. Will try to get some soon. Yeah it's so crazy about the Agenda they push. Have you heard krayzie bones interview about a specific meeting in the early 90's or so where they decided that.
@@RapItUp41 yes I don't remember it being Krazy Bone but a member from Lords of the Underground. Either way yes and it was also a connection to the prison investors..

This whole song is a prayer🔥❤️
I played many Tupac songs to my mom. My family looked down on me but not my MOM!
I miss he so much.
2Pac’s music spoke truth
Yeah usually I wouldn't have ever even attempted but I saw people of her age group were listening to 2pac on YT. Thought she might be able to get it with the heartfelt stuff

Thanks, she will like hearing that. 30 years when I was listening to rap I would have never thought she would actually be moved by it lol.
Great job educating your mom on the greatest rapper of all time (in my opinion). Love this

TOP 3 2PAC TRACK OF ALL TIME FOR SURE!🔥
Indeed
all his music was positive some was personal after getting shot 5 times no one would be the same real talk

Yep for years back then, I really believed and hoped he did fake his death.
Pac knew it was coming and even predicted the age. He told his bodyguard he would not live past twenty-five.
Yes he talked about it constantly I remember in life and in his music. Wish he would have been wrong

Yes Scarface is probably 1 of the best story tellers in the rap history!
Also, I think your mom is on point in her on thoughts.

'That Girl' by Stevie Wonder. That was the song used to sample 'So Many Tears' by TuPac.
Keep doing your thing guys. I love the conversations and interactions you and your Mom have. Good vibez. God bless.
brother, have a listen to 'Letter 2 My Unborn'
Facts 💯💯💯

2pac "Death around the corner" would be a good song to react to after seeing this reaction.
I enjoyed your reaction, keep up the good work....don't ever get discourage from the negative commits. At least you have the courage to do these reactions.
thanks so much, i dont ever worry about that lol
Don't forget Pac was a gemini!
Will be doing letter 2 my unborn and changes today.
You are absolutely right! When you actually listen.... you understand everything!
The sample is That Girl by Stevie Wonder
The lyrics are symbolic. It’s for ANYONE who’s going through similar circumstances, in a certain environment. He had flaws, but we all do. The purpose and message of the song is empathy and relatability
In an interview one time he even said that his biggest fear was being reincarnated. He didnt want to be here. Dude hinted at suicide a lot.
Let's do "How long will they mourn me"
That's the first request for that 1 and I'm shocked it is. We will get to that though for sure thanks
more mom hugs
Stevie Wonder that girl
U should show her "Mamas Just A Lil Girl"
Will get to that one. That's been requested a few times lol. Thanks for commenting
Original version is recommended
Hip moms to some of his interviews so she knows what type of person he really was..
2pac mom let Eminem produce one of 2pac posthumous albums.
yeah I knew that but its unfortunate em never got to meet 2pac
Yeah I don’t know how cool 2pac would’ve been with Em seeing as he came up under Dre
