I said it in the last swimbait seminar, and I’m gonna say it again: this kind of video proves Tacticalbassin to be THE best bass fishing channel on the platform. Period. Thank you guys so much for this level of dedication to the sport.
Gotta appreciate how you asked everyone to take care and release the fish. Watching the big ones swim off healthy and strong is a dang good feeling. 💯💯
yup. the less time out of the water is crucial. And keeping it from contacting anything dry is more important than most people realize. I've even skipped taking pictures lately. It's also really import when using lighter gear like BFS or spinning tackle. the harder they fight, the more entertainment that fish has blessed you with. But it also means they are sacrificing almost everything to do it. they definitely deserve our respect.
It took me about 5 days but I watched every minute of this 3 + hour video. You are a great teacher Matt. I really appreciate the work that you put into this. Thank you!
I knew this day would come!!! All those mornings waking up to BFS and crankbait vids was cool but nothing relates to the SWIMBAIT vid on a Friday morning!!!
I think half the reason I watch these still is because I love to see how genuinely excited you remain about fishing. It keeps me motivated! Winter is coming fast up here in New England so I better make hay...
A perfect "outtro", easy to do when you're just telling it like it is. Thanks for sharing all of that, It took me a couple of settings but I made it to the end, and am glad I did. I''m 73 years old and still learning!
Matt & Tim, Thanks for all the content, It has made me a better fisherman. Saved me hours of time and research, and let me buy more gear that I actually use and catch fish with. I appreciate all your time and effort! Thank you.
Made it to the end! The amount of experience and knowledge you shared is amazing! The hook upgrades, modifications and retrieves are gold! Thanks for taking the time to explain all of that!
Pure gold. These guys have shared so much over the years. Much appreciated, I have caught so many fish over the years utilizing these technique breakdowns.
I remember watching these fall swimbait senimars for so long. I remember watching it back in the car visiting family down south back in covid. Now I'm watching it in college.
Matt - Great video once again. You are an great ambassador for our sport and steward of the fisheries we are fortunate to have access to. Loving the swimbait content. Thanks!!
Since you did a great job by recommending several swimbaits for beginners-meaning, not too $$ and also easy to throw-I’ve got 2 more for you: the Beast Coast Miyagi Swimmer. It’s a 4” bait but nice and thick, with a great top design that really makes a weighted swimbait hook lie naturally flat and virtually weedless. Can throw it on MH rod no problem. $8 for a pack of 3 and they are very durable. Gets BIT. My second is alot pricier but in 15 outings so far, I have caught fish on it every time. It’s a Black Dog G2 Shellcracker wakebait that basically works like a big shallow crankbait. It is a KILLER night lure. Can crawl it SLOW and it still causes a wake, draws fish from a long way off. $50 or so; often sold out but a few online shops do have em. My all-time confidence bait.
So much knowledge and my time is limited these days, ended up watching in several parts and boosted to 1.5x speed. Thanks so much Matt! Always some added gems shown in every year...now I can finish the jerkbait seminar 😅
I need a fishing buddy with a boat, a damn good budget, a whole lotta free time, and this kind of dedication to the sport. The abundance of knowledge that only comes from decades of first hand experience is insane. Time to go put a line in the water!
This is my first time actually watching your videos and I have to say I’m really impressed and your tutorials are on the money watched the whole video thanks for sharing the information Matt
I learned how to fish swimbaits from watching these swimbait seminars 😂 The first four baits are my bread and butter. Throughout the process I've learned that I prefer fishing with soft swimbaits, so I've been slowly getting the right gear for that.
Wow!! That is more of a ant hole than a rabbit hole. Sooo many turns, tunnels and caverns. I’m into fishing Matt but I think your one swim bait away from a straight jacket. Seriously thank you for the info. I’ll be watching this video for years to put it all together use.
80 lb braid… you nailed it with it being the “it” strength… reason why so many musky guides use it for their clients and personal use as well! Appreciate you.
Oh yes my favorite video of the year is here. Can’t wait to see what you’ve adapted this year. I’ve caught 5 pbs this year on swimbaits including my new pb of all the black bass species
Bought the white back shad magdraft this morning. Went out at noon and caught bass on my first 2 casts. It really ui an amazing bait. Thanks Matt for sharing all your knowledge.
I've been working on swim bait fishing for about 10 years. I've found through the years that if I use a 3/4 ounce rattle trap or a wake swim bait in the fall in a bass pattern.when bass are schooling in a bass pattern the large females will devour them in Preference to shad patterns. Occasionally I'll hook a large stripper or hybrid as well. I started wake swim baits in bass pattern because of earlier success with 3/4 ounce rattle traps in bass pattern
Dude ….. from you callin the shot on a fishery on where the giant is going to be sitting , to the stories of the teeners getting off to the rods reels smh the entire thing the 13 lbs class , you gies really are the best absolutely sick job Matt Allen big thanks to the big bud awsome awsome job
Took me a day and a half to finish between chores 😂 thank you!! Never get off your soap box on taking care of big fish (I wish tournament fishing would stop hauling big fish around all day). Thanks again!!
Matt, when are the best weather conditions to be throwing a swimbait in general? Thank you so much for your seminar!!! I love them and I watch them every year brother! And I stick it out until the end! Tnx!!!
Matt, good job on flexing your muscles a bit when you explained just how much experience(and RESULTS) you have in the swimbait game. Its downright comical to me when i hear a youngster talking about how you are doing it all wrong. You probably have more DD'S that the average guy has 5+ pounders. Let em' know Matt!!😂
I caught my first couple of fish on a glide this year. First one was 5+ pound walleye of all things. Then an almost 4 pound largie. Let’s just say I hooked too 😊
I have invested in a couple rigs but have not really dedicated much time to throwing the few big baits I've bought, I absolutely have crushed them on the 6" Magdraft and caught 1 giant spot on the 8" but I guess until a giant crushes that tactical wake I tend to set it down pretty quick. I know... just bring one rod! Thank you for the info, I'm not trying to go down this rabbit hole but I am sticking my head in it for sure!
I can’t even tell you how many times I woke up to see a bfs video when this is what I was waiting for. Don’t get me wrong I love bfs but big freaking swimbaits is what we all want to see. Thank you swimbait professor Matt
I know its already been said but @tacticalbassin i appreciate you guys more than you can possibly imagine, seriously!! The time and effort and patience yall put into your videos is what makes you guy's theeee #1 fishing channel on RUclips point blank period!! Thank you guys for everything you do for the sport, lifetime fan and supporter ❤️🔥❤️🔥
Great swimbait seminar as always. One request: can you follow up with reel gear ratios for specific style of baits? I think that is a critical topic when fishing swimbaits.
Just got a Tranx 301AHG. Wanted it for use in salt water, combined with 40 inches of line retrieval per turn. I'm glad you guys put your faith in that reel!
@@tacticalbassinI'm loving the reel just as much as the Curado 300. Have you tried the 7 10 Cashion Icon Mod Fast swimbait rod? It's handled treble hook baits amazing for me. Might be another great crossover swimbait rod.
Also, I like the smallest version of the Megabass Vatalion - Vibration-X VATALION SS. I think it will be a good bait size for bass, maybe someday TackleWarehouse will have it. Made it to the end of the video. Thanks.
You guys guided me to every one of my three swimbait rods. I choose a Dobyns 795, St Croix Bass X 7’10” Heavy Fast, and the stoutest, the Shimano 7’8” SLX Heavy Fast. All gems at a reasonable price range.
Thanks for the video Matt!! All I can seem to get on my Chad Shad are catfish😅. I'm going to keep chucking and winding it and get that big female largemouth eventually! If you and Tim get extra time in the winter, could you guys take the kids out and do a winter crappie video?
I'm curious if you've ever stuck one on that Optimum Ambitious Buzz? That video blew my mind, lol. Sick video as always. I tell people anytime they ask about a technique. Tacticalbassin prolly has 20+ hours in dedicated seminars, let alone the regular videos.
I said it in the last swimbait seminar, and I’m gonna say it again: this kind of video proves Tacticalbassin to be THE best bass fishing channel on the platform. Period. Thank you guys so much for this level of dedication to the sport.
100 percent a book in the figurative bass fishing bible. Any technique, they got ya covered
You are welcome 👏👍 please keep up the great work.....
Thank you

This is the stuff that makes this channel so invaluable to the bass fishing community. truly a MASTER CLASS from a master.
Thank you!!

Yet there's still gonna be tons of assholes who lay their fish on the ground and fuck up the slime coat. Those people shouldn't fish.
It took me about 5 days but I watched every minute of this 3 + hour video. You are a great teacher Matt. I really appreciate the work that you put into this. Thank you!
Trust us Matt..not one us mind when you head down a rabbit hole..just the info of where the biggest fish should be is priceless.
I stayed for the entire video. Never lost my interest or attention. TacticalBassin is by far the best channel out there🎣☮️🙏😎
3 hours of GOLD
Ha! Thanks!
Did I see that correctly? 3 THREE HOURS? NICE!!!!
1000.00 seminar on swim baits. Absolute gold!! Thanks Matt!!!!
Thumbs up if you made the full 3 hours.
Does separate sittings count?
Same here, I'm still making it through in small intervals. I'll catch every minute eventually though 😅
I love when u do this every year !!!!
Thank you! Today's has a lot of subject matter not previously covered. I hope it's of benefit to you.
Thanks for putting in the time to do this for us matt
I'm happy to do it 👍🏼
I can't believe I watched a 3 hour video on swimbaits...but I loved every second of it. Thanks Matt!
I can beleive it! 👍
Thanks for coming along, I hope you took some info away that you can apply 👍🏼
I knew this day would come!!! All those mornings waking up to BFS and crankbait vids was cool but nothing relates to the SWIMBAIT vid on a Friday morning!!!
Three hours of Matt talking fishing ?? YESSS SIRRR 🫡🫡
I think half the reason I watch these still is because I love to see how genuinely excited you remain about fishing. It keeps me motivated! Winter is coming fast up here in New England so I better make hay...
True anglers will appreciate this seminar on big baits. I watched it all, took notes, and will watch it again 😅, Ty Matt A. 👊🎣🎣
A perfect "outtro", easy to do when you're just telling it like it is. Thanks for sharing all of that, It took me a couple of settings but I made it to the end, and am glad I did. I''m 73 years old and still learning!
Thanks for this Matt. Who doesn't love putting on a 3 hour swimbait video, Crackin a beer and rigging up for tomorrow's fishing adventure? Love it!
Wow! Perfect timing. A 3 hour swimbait updated video. that’s wild! Happy Friday to us
Happy Friday!!
Thank you for putting this seminar together
We're happy to do it!
I don't care how man times you do this video, I'll watch it every single time
Thanks! It will never be the same video twice. We're always learning too 👍🏼
Matt & Tim, Thanks for all the content, It has made me a better fisherman. Saved me hours of time and research, and let me buy more gear that I actually use and catch fish with. I appreciate all your time and effort! Thank you.

3 HOURS!! Spoiling us with this one!!
Pure gold. These guys have shared so much over the years. Much appreciated, I have caught so many fish over the years utilizing these technique breakdowns.
This is Oldschool Tactical Bass’n and it was greatly needed.
By far the best vid on swimbaits! Listened to the whole thing non-stop!
THE BEST (and most expensive) VIDEO OF THE YEAR!! I love these in-depth breakdowns. I am so excited to listen to this years breakdown.
Thank you for the support!
Love it when Matt goes down the rabbit hole!
Thank you for taking the time to make this video . A ton of knowledge for every level of fisherman.
We're happy to do it!
I remember watching these fall swimbait senimars for so long. I remember watching it back in the car visiting family down south back in covid. Now I'm watching it in college.
This is the best 3 hours I have spent this year. Thanks for all you do
Holy Moly! Thank you Matt.
This is better than… well I don’t know what, but this is GREAT!!! Thank you🙏🏻
Matt - Great video once again. You are an great ambassador for our sport and steward of the fisheries we are fortunate to have access to. Loving the swimbait content. Thanks!!
Easily one of my Top 3 videos I look forward to every year. Thank you very much for the video Matt. SO GOOD.

Thisssssssssss. Is exactly what i needed. Thanks for sharing something I'm/were gonna come back to for months to come! Tight lines from Ohio!
I hope it helps! Thanks Kyle!

Same here BROTHER! I'm ready to go!!! Just need a fishing buddy...
Another great fall swim bait seminar, was the best 3+ hours spent in a while
Thanks David!
This is my first time actually watching your videos and I have to say I’m really impressed and your tutorials are on the money watched the whole video thanks for sharing the information Matt
Matt, Thank you so much of for sharing your many years of your experience and expertise. Truly a video to download and save for reference.

Thanks Matt. Always learn something new and gain more confidence watching your videos. Have a great weekend.
Thank you! Have a great weekend!
LOVE THIS!. I need a short video on skipping a lure underneath a dock, i suck at it
Bought the white back shad magdraft this morning. Went out at noon and caught bass on my first 2 casts. It really ui an amazing bait. Thanks Matt for sharing all your knowledge.
That's awesome! Way to go!!
Thank you for these seminars and everything the both of you do!!

3hrs well spent! Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks for talking about taking care of the fish and genetics. Thanks for all ur guys work!
Thanks Devin! We do what we can!
Oh my gosh, awesome video 🎉

Day 5 of watching almost done!
Took me a day and a half to finish between chores 😂 thank you!!
Never get off your soap box on taking care of big fish (I wish tournament fishing would stop hauling big fish around all day).
Thanks again!!
I love these long videos explaining swimbaits! 😎 Can we get a detailed video on when you like to throw these different styles of swimbaits?
Awesome video Matt thanks for all the years of information 🎣🐳🐳🐳🐳🐳
Matt, when are the best weather conditions to be throwing a swimbait in general?

Excellent job! Though I don’t have bass here in Romania, this goes very well for pike. Thanks!!!
I have been waiting for this!!!
Awesome! You're who we made it for 👊🏻
I know its already been said but @tacticalbassin i appreciate you guys more than you can possibly imagine, seriously!! The time and effort and patience yall put into your videos is what makes you guy's theeee #1 fishing channel on RUclips point blank period!! Thank you guys for everything you do for the sport, lifetime fan and supporter ❤️🔥❤️🔥
I've been using the mulletron for bass for a while now and they are deadly. i pre-ordered the shadtron about a month ago, super stoked.
I remember back in 2012 when a buddy got his first jointed claw and posted a catch with it. I was enamored with swimbaits ever since.
Thanks for the lesson on swimbait fishing now I know where to start when it comes to fishing a swimbait
I’ve had the SPRO Chad Shad in perch tied on all year. It’s great
There’s like 9 episodes of info here and I’m going to watch it all probably a couple times like the last seminar!
Thanks Matt I definitely need this info for my swimbait fishing 👍🏻🎣
I appreciate all the knowledge you share
Thank you
Great swimbait seminar as always.

Picked some NLB today 7in with a bkk and I got to say I’ve over looked that bait 👍🔥.
Ok, now I need a skipping video (y’all probably already made one). Huge hole in my game. Thank fellas
awesome job Matt. Really appreciate it. Thanks man.
What is your preferred knot to use for these swimbaits. Thanks again for all the great info! I rewatch these seminars throughout the year!
The San Diego Jam is our favorite knot for big baits
I like the Double San Diego Jam. The Fish-n-Fool knot is really strong, it's double thru the eye then a uni knot. Ofc there's the Double Palomer too.
Great video I have been swim bait fishing for o ver 20 plus year i always learn something from your videos
Thank you for the positive feedback!
Thank you Matt for all yall do. Now I just need to go throw my swimbait all day long
Great stuff!
Would love a Smallmouth swimbait video
Excellent. Thanks Matt
Awesome! I'm so glad you're enjoying them!
That Dobyns FR 795SB is a real nice rod..got it for $135
Thank you for the content, this is unmatched knowledge!
Do you have any opinions on the megabass levante leviathan?
Thanks for the video Matt!! All I can seem to get on my Chad Shad are catfish😅. I'm going to keep chucking and winding it and get that big female largemouth eventually! If you and Tim get extra time in the winter, could you guys take the kids out and do a winter crappie video?
We'll see what we can do 👍🏼
BMP’s most recent Smith Lake video he showed a modified megabass makippa. Looks interesting and definitely up yalls alley.
I'm curious if you've ever stuck one on that Optimum Ambitious Buzz? That video blew my mind, lol. Sick video as always. I tell people anytime they ask about a technique. Tacticalbassin prolly has 20+ hours in dedicated seminars, let alone the regular videos.
What gear ratio in the 300 tranx do recommend? Never tried big swimbait fishing but have wanted to for years and I think you got me convinced!
Great video! Question, for your hard baits, are you tying the leader onto the lure directly, or are you using a tactical clip?
Well done Matt
Wealth of info! Thanks bro💪🏻☝️🐟
Im happy to do it, and I hope you can put it to work for you!
Matt if the 966 is sold out, is the 965 a good alternative? I’ve never heard you recommend it.
No, it's not. That is also a great rod but it's capabilities across baits is much more limited.
