For me, if it ends up being Lucien and Elaine I feel like it will be the path of them falling in love despite the mating bond, not because of it and that being through/after Elaine heals from the trauma especially surrounding giving her love. I see the path! But I won’t be offended if that’s not the path that happens haha.
Also it helps that for whatever reason I can’t help but feel weird sibling/step sibling energy whenever Azriel and Elaine interact I don’t know what it is but I feel icky 😂 I really hope if SJM goes that route that it changes for me
Can we do a harry potter podcast? All 7 books I would love to listen you discuss plots and theories present outside of the book. Plus its fun hearing both of your takes on a book. Gives me a completely different insight It will be fun
As a hardcore Elain and Elriel Stan I appreciate you changing your minds on Elain’s character. She is subtle and not in your face like everyone else. Although I still scream at my phone whenever you don’t acknowledge those precious and obvious Elriel moments like I want, I do know I am biased towards them because I love them so much. My number 1 hope is Elain and Azriel being together in her book. But my number 2 option is Elain being by herself. She says she doesn’t want a male and she should do what she wants with her life. Even if it breaks my heart and she doesn’t want Azriel 😢😢😢😢
I’m so excited for the Silver Flames deep dive That’s the one book I’ve only read once and I’m curious to see what I missed. Lowkey hope frost and starlight is only two episodes max 😂 no hate to the Christmas special.

Massverse theory spoiler: When she throw bob it is described as a black hole, but I think Bryce described jumping into the gate the same way, so maybe feyre threw it right into their world, it just looked like it was a black hole

As much as we want to say Elaine has a choice not to do anything at all...we are talking human terms. She is fae now and if she rejects the bond officially, Lucian will suffer so much. It is mentioned that males who are rejected get so depressed and crazy that they might even kill themselves. (If they have a heart I assume, like Lucian does) I think Elaine owes him a single CHANCE, BEFORE she rejects him outright. It doesn't have to happen right this minute or even 10 years from now. But if she officially rejects it for all time and severs the connection, I think it might just break him for good. We want to keep repeating that she has the choice not to do anything because people don't owe their love to anyone, but in this case, it will actually harm him so deeply that we have to think of it a little differently. He had NO CHOICE himself of who his mate was. Lucian is just as helpless as Elaine. So Lucian deserves that chance because he didn't ask for the bond either.
1:09:11 I have to wonder if the cauldron will come up again, because we do learn that it was altered from its original state. I’m curious if at some point in future books or series we will see the cauldron be restored.
