However there is one thing you have consider, about desiel vehicle's,Despite being cheap as desiel is cheaper than petrol,they cause a lot of pollution especially when they are ageing. Infact all so called developed countries started getting rid of them a while ago as they are targetting to have electric vehicles by 2030.So now most people are selling their desiel vehicles at a cheap price not be caught up in this.Some traders are also selling to Africa,which will iindirectly make it a dumping place,as most people are not aware of this.An example where l reside, since six years ago ,desiel vehicles are prohibited to enter any city,like you have to park your desiel vehicle two kilometres away from the cities,then take a bus or walk to the city. 2030 is actually about petrol vehicles,with desiel,they are almost done with So consider that.To make it clear, lam talking about personal cars not commercial.

Hi Cathy where are you located because I can help you with that too. If in the UK you need to have owned the vehicle for at least a year and if you have been to Kenya, you should have not stayed in Kenya for more than 90 days in the last two years.
If in the US you are allowed to sell your left hand vehicle and buy a similar vehicle in a country that allows right hand drive like the UK and import to Kenya duty free. Make sure to retain the copies of the original logbook, driving license and insurance details for the vehicle that you will dispose off in the US.

The vehicle should be of below 2500cc.
If in the US you are allowed to sell your left hand vehicle and buy a similar vehicle in a country that allows right hand drive like the UK and import to Kenya duty free. The vehicle has to be less than 8 years and your 2017 is within the range allowed by KRA.
