- Now that they are starting to use them, pest controllers are uncovering problems with the 2021 general licences - even though DEFRA assured them the licences were largely the same.

If you start tampering with songbirds nests by covering them up with cages etc you will end up with a lot of deserted nests! Same as you don't cut hedges while songbirds are nesting...........these people are going to cause more damage than good.
I had the occasion to cover a Robin & her nest of young in a large plant pot with half a fox trap with 3" Sq mesh & it saved the day all the young fledged I'm pleased to say. Cheers Tippo. UK GB.
This is the trouble with MPs they don't live in the real world and have no knowledge of what they advise about
Any thoughts on getting a Chris Packham piñata developed showcasing at the Game Fair.
My worry is that if the advice is to cover nests how long before someone like wild justice takes an average Joe from a notable area to court because you haven't covered nests up then when you do try rspb can do you for reckless disturbance under the wildlife and countryside act.
this is utter madness , put covers over birds nests , couldant make this up
@@JuniorProduction1000 useless people tut tut
Seriously they need a brain they dont know fuck all about the countryside they need to get back to feeding their garden birds and let us countryside workers get on with our lives
Is every country like this or is it just Britain? By that I mean we just seem to hold so much contempt for others that share a different opinion be it car drivers hating cyclists, walkers hating mountain bikers, townies hating country folk because they shoot things and have no clue as to why. This really is a shit place to exist
@Pete graham Are you lost again lad?
Who gave them the right to demand that we have licenses in the first place ? Is this not just another job creation scheme for lawyers written by people that have never even got their feet wet.
Yup
The new general licensing is definitely a joke its ridiculous needs to go back to what it was before and badgers and seagulls added on to it
Just about everything in the UK is locked under a licences or someone's permission ( A FEE ) Madness.
Do what most people do... don't bother with the licences and shoot away with merry abandon. Just how are they going to police this?
Exactly 👍👌
@@breethf1r331 they can't police the covid lockdown let alone someone shooting a few magpies. It's remarkable that since my friend shot 160 squirrels, 36 magpies and a few assorted jackdaws that he now has lots of nuthatches and bullfinch in his garden.
keep it up gb hunting 2021
Bet the only downtick was packham!!!btw,i totally agree with 666gun100`s comment regarding caging nesting birds,if this happens expect to see a decline in songbird populations-on top of uncontrolled predation by magpies etc.
But what does it mean for Wales Scotland and Northern Ireland with the rules you ever seem to cover this topic for England
Hi - we cover them at Fcha.nl/gl
Would have been better if you had those who thought of those mongy regulations were scrutinsed in person . Would have made for great entertainment . Watching them explain there utterly dumb logic
So does this mean we can still shoot and trap, the worst culprit the MAGPIE. Or not.
Yes - have look at Fcha.nl/gl for details. / Charlie
Wild justice will cover the wild life damage
We are gettinmg far to many Glory hunters in this country I'm afraid. Cheers. Tippo.UK.GB.
What they don't see won't hurt them far to many rules and regs...... 1 life do as you want
You couldn't make it up!
Wrong, they literally have.
You had your chance to deny city wankers the opportunity to tell you what to do when we marched on London over the fox hunting ban.
We should have blocked London ten times, but as usual Apathy and self interest won out.
What's next stopping you shooting pigeons for preserving farmers crops
thinking the same myself , only time will tell
Exactly they are rewening everything they think they know what they are doing but they know nothing as they say they dont know their arse from their elbow
People sat on their arse in a office have no idea...Farmers must be able to protect their livelihood...FFS...Speak to people have first hand knowledge of what damage these birds do..🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I don't understand general licensing, why does anyone in the country adhere to bureaucratic city rule.
Just ignore them.
HA YOU HAVE BECOME LIKE ITALY...WORTS THAN ITALY ACTUALLY
But not as bad as your spelling lol
@@jackpemberthy3948 well yes...sorry, not as good as a native speaker at it, I am doing my best to learn....any way, I feel sorry for you all...realy, I can tellyou it will be a fucking mes now on, here we are not allowed to do any knid of pest control let alone 22lr or airgun hunting...results are the following:
- Piggeon overpopulation, critical for the big city and for historical buildings (Italy holds 3/4 of them)
- Rats....better not say nothing
- Crows family, out of control
- Nutria, critical situation of land near rivers ad water systems of any kind, farmland damage: Very hig (encreasing in the last decade)
- Boars.....they moved to the city, they live there now....
@@rebelbiker9956 ooops sorry didn't realise it wasn't your native language - you're much better at it than most british people, keep up the good work :-) are those the Italian laws?
@@jackpemberthy3948 yes they are, they suck, a lot, realy, stop it now, becouse it means bad, bad bad bad bad land management....for real...do not follow the law, this law, it will be a shit storm in no time
@@rebelbiker9956 Yeah, I reckon they will be pressured to take away these current rules, I just don't understand how people can work around this ridiculous micro management.
Blimey I didn't realise Italian laws were so strict, are you allowed to use mousetraps or rat poison? I feel sorry for you guys, and I used to think UK laws were quite strict.
