As a former entertainment cast member my best advice is to simply give COMPLIMENTS! Say you love their outfit, their movie (could be a certain scene or just the whole thing in general), their parade performance, etc. it can be either a great conversation starter or they’ll just be thankful 😉

I always appreciate janelle’s truth bombs when she says “this isn’t it, it’s not good.” That’s how you know Disney didn’t buy them out and their reviews are real
I miss the New Orleans feel to it!! Someone did say that the new theme reminds them of Princess and The Frog when Tiana dreams up her new restaurant! :)
It almost looks like that when she leaned in, Minnie’s “friend”, was telling him that she was a fan. (if you don’t know, cast members who play characters are not allowed to actually say that they play a specific character, they can just say that they are their “friend” (“ I work at Disneyland as Minnie’s friend“.)

Fennec Shand stopped me while walking through Batuu late last year, looked down at my "Death Star Under Construction, please come back later" shirt and said that I need to rethink my allegiances. I said "I'm prone to making poor choices" she nodded and walked off. Apparently my poor choices are in how to respond when a character stops me.
Of course we care! The new Jazz kitchen reminds me of Princess and the frog when Tiana starts dreaming about what her new restaurant will look like. The cold brew looks so yumm!

I completely relate with the freezing at Disney characters. I feel like I’m so self conscious at the fact that I’m an adult that knows that there’s another person inside of a costume and we’re both pretending like the costume is real. I’m glad there are comments that tell me what to do

Oh MigVee, clamming up around characters is so relatable! The last time I was at Disneyland, I was standing on Main St., turned around and Minnie was coming down the street. I am a grown woman and all I could do was gasp "Minnie!" She was very gracious and acknowledged my awkwardness with a wave. 😅
My favorite Disney merch we have in our home didn't come from the home store... it's our Disney artist drawings from the Off The Page store in DCA of some of our favorite characters. I don't like what they did to the Jazz kitchen either because it is over the top contemporary and the opposite of New Orleans style of architecture. I also can't wait for you both to do food reviews of down town Disney food carts and especially that new food truck!
