Prince is the Original G.O.A.T. Point, Blank, Period. My nephew who passed away almost 6 years now had a friend who was Prince's backup singer. That boy looks just like him, but she swore he wasn't Prince's son. He was a genius. My son gets mad at me because I only remember the day he had his tonsils and adnoids removed is because it's the day Prince passed away. I cried when George Michael passed away and then when we lost Prince.
My final Prince show was the Piano and a Microphone in Oakland. He performed "Purple Music" as the encore, which made me wonder if he was getting ready to release the vault version or maybe a newly recorded version. It was a beautiful show and about a month later, he was gone.
This is a jam!!! I saw Prince 51 times between 1988 til 2016. But I never heard New Position live in person either. Or this. I definitely heard alot of deep cuts though. But love this. I love a good Prince reaction video and sharing those special moments 💜
I was lucky enough to be in the 1st row many, many times and saw him play at live a bunch. Also attached several of his infamous after parties and after shows. It was amazing!
There's a healthy dose of George Benson in what Prince is doing here. This is probably from July 11, 2011 at Ahoy in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. "The Love We Make" from July 10, 2011 at the same North Sea Jazz Festival is Transcendent! Your reaction to this beautiful piece of performance art was very good.
Ive seen him about 30 times across Europe, he furiously wanted perfection musicwise, especially at his aftershow. I was lucky as NPGMC member to attend several sound checks and he was adamant about getting things just right. Thank you for the upload.
When he performed this at his very last performance at The Fabulous Fox Theater I had to yell couldn't contain myself! I've always loved this arrangement of a loved B Side from ATWIAD
I got a funny story for you. I was at a Prince show in July of 1994. Standing room only club Palladium. I rushed in and got center stage 1 person away from the stage. Prince saw me that day 😂 😂 I was singing real loud with a guy with dreads just like you and Prince came by us and jammed out on the guitar. He threw his pick at me at the end, and I caught that thing baby. I liked your style from the 1st 10 seconds talkin about real music. I subbed right away. I look forward to watching more of your videos.
The videos on this channel have actually become a part of my daily routine 😃. Keep dropping great content and gems on REAL artistry 🎉. Much blessings and prosperity to you and your channel.
Wow! I have never seen this performance. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. Prince is the only artist I know who will tell the sound tech to fix something and then how exactly to fix it while playing. Man, do I miss him. When you mentioned the audience not seeming to understand what they were witnessing, it made me think of his rare performance of Electric Intercourse. This crowd didn’t know the greatness they were watching (link below). I wish you had gotten to see him. I am blessed to have seen him 3 times. You got my attention with your Prince reactions, but I subscribed today because of your real music talk. Thank you 💜💜💜 ruclips.net/video/l5mlkrlmQyQ/видео.htmlsi=IrA4-2_WFlaGWiVN
This version reminds me the jazz vibe he had at the one night alone shows, or like She spoke to me for Girl 6! The Bsides of the singles for ATWIAD were some of the best though. Girl, Hello, and of course She's always in my hair. Temptation live was also on my personal live wish list!
The way he switched this up 2 perform it live with Andy is crazy the G.O.A.T

I knew about Prince way before I got into D'Angelo, as an 80s baby. But once I got into D', I completely understood the impact of Prince.
Most definitely! You can’t appreciate one without the other. Their impact is just powerful.

You are absolutely correct, he was and will always be the greatest!

Prince always said Miles Davis taught him about using silence in music and I think he mastered using it.

Thank you for subbing! I will get around to that performance as well!
Amen that's 100❤

Indeed! All gems!!
If you listen to interviews with the people who worked with Prince, they say he embraced the mistakes...😊😊
Girl is a seriously deep cut
I was never really a big fan of this song until I heard him do it on the Piano and a Microphone tour in 2016. So 🔥🔥🔥🔥
In 2015, I saw P perform Love or Money too. He was pulling out all the gems in 2013-2016 and for the 2009 Montreux shows.
@@smh93 LOVE OR MONEY??? I would’ve paid everything just to hear him do that one!
@@IJ_RogersTV Well, I’ll share it with you for free. 😂😂😂 Enjoy!

Superb Bass by Ida Nielsen
Just for the record...George Benson was the first to do the scat and guitar combo thing. Check him out. Listen to the song " on Broadway".
do you have the link to the original video?
The man was notorious for 4 hours sound checks...😮
