Just inject a organism with a large amount of radiation, that it emits it and make it survive somehow. That's literally a Basic Radiation-Based Titan. @SS - 10YJ - Streetsville SS (2552)What is Godzilla?: Throughout his film appearances, Godzilla has possessed multiple different origins. For the most part, Godzilla is usually a type of prehistoric reptile that has been awakened and/or mutated by atomic radiation. In the original 1954 film, "Godzilla" is hypothesized by Dr. Yamane to be some sort of irradiated prehistoric amphibious reptile, intermediary to land-residing and sea-dwelling reptiles. In this film, Godzilla's bumpy, scarred hide and atomic breath are byproducts of his exposure to the hydrogen bomb. This same origin applies to the second Showa Godzilla and presumably the various Millennium series Godzillas as well. The Heisei Godzilla is explained in the film "Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah" (1991) to have irradiated from a type of fictional theropod dinosaur called a Godzillasaurus as a result of exposure to radiation from a nuclear submarine crash. Contrary to popular belief, the Heisei Godzilla is the only incarnation of Godzilla to date to be definitively confirmed as a type of dinosaur, with most other incarnations having only been referred to as unspecified types of prehistoric reptile. The Godzilla from "Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack" (2001) is a malicious supernatural entity spawned by the restless souls of those killed by the Japanese military during World War II. This is the only incarnation of Godzilla to be supernatural in origin, though he is presumed to have still originated as a irradiated prehistoric amphibious reptile like the 1954 Godzilla. The Godzilla from Legendary Pictures' MonsterVerse is a member of a species of massive prehistoric amphibious reptiles (Titanus Gojiras). that fed on radiation at a time when the planet's surface radiation levels were much higher. Unlike other incarnations of the character, the MonsterVerse Godzilla does not appear to have been altered or enhanced by radiation, instead being a naturally evolved creature that uses radiation as a food source.
I was completely shocked when they used a cover of blue oyster cult classic Godzilla mixed with new stuff. The whole chanties of the people shouting "God-zi-lla" was an amazing touch, they're sound like they were actually praising goji. Anyway that combined with the visuals and the rhythm made an amazing conclusion of this movie, Long live to the King of the Monsters!!!
At the Toho Studios KOTM screening during the Q/A session Micheal Dougherty did say that basically if the balance of nature, or the planet itself were to find itself to be in danger, that Godzilla would eliminate the threat. Truly an absolutely amazing credits sequence. If all movies did it like this people would actually watch the full credits instead of leaving early. The fact that our brain can only read bits of the news fragments we are seeing is giving our brains so much curiosity and honestly I could read every single word in this credit scene and I would still want more. Truly a great way to end an movie.
Here's something of note about the seismic disturbances on Skull island in the novel, Kong directly ignored the titan call, he had no reason to join their 'hunt' then after talking about the change in his life, he notices the ground shaking and realizes the skull crawlers still alive all heard the call
In truth it's a long-time friendship gone bad. Ghidorah was jealous of Godzilla's movie deal and started making up some shit they said about each other. Overall, a dick move from Ghidorah in my opinion.
The credits told us everything we need to know about why these two would fight. The Kongs and Godzillas have fought each other for millenia for the title of King of the Monsters. Now only two of them are left standing. If Godzilla ever went rogue, Kong is the only one who has a chance against him
1:33 Monarch is creating a mechanized giant on Skull Island. In the Godzilla vs Kong trailer we see Mechagodzilla at 0:004 and later we see a schematic of Mechagodzilla.
1:33 posible nod to Biollante and Mecha-Kaijus in the news paper in paragraph 3. "De la Rosa went on to claim that monarch was not only developing this mehanized giant on skull island, but had already tried to create organic titans in the past..."
Jacqueline Arevalo Monarch are developing a mechanised weapon, could be Mechagodzilla or something else and the organic titans bit means that they tried to create their own living, breathing titans in the past
In these movies, a japanese scientist said this:Kaiju are tragic beings. They're born too tall, too strong, and too heavy. They're not evil by choice. That is their tragedy

Why don’t you call the person that started this chain a fucking idiot as I’m gonna state. Don’t roast me for copying (I know you will) as some of the fan theory’s that the fans want not in GVK Here are the monsters we'd like to see in Godzilla 3. Godzilla: King of the Monsters sets the bar high for the MonsterVerse by adding three of Toho's most iconic kaiju: Mothra, Rodan and King Ghidorah. Thankfully, Godzilla has a deep rogues' gallery, giving Legendary plenty to work with when choosing his next opponent. King of the Monsters reveals that at least 17 Titans exist in the MonsterVerse, with the movie focusing specifically on three. King Ghidorah, who is Godzilla's greatest adversary in classic Toho movies, proves to be a significant challenge to Godzilla, and after three brutal battles, is finally defeated. While Rodan survives to accept Godzilla as the new alpha, Mothra dies after fighting with Rodan and sacrificing his life force to save Godzilla. There are several other Titans in King of the Monsters, but none come from the Toho movies. All I’m try a say is that biollante is plant based, and there is also an aquatic based creature (kraken?). So get your fucking facts straight before you time travel to November you dork. Continuing on from the web Gigan isn't the only villain Dougherty says he would love to include in Godzilla 3. The director has also brought up the mutated, plant-like creature that Godzilla battled in 1989's Godzilla vs. Biollante. This was the villain's first and only appearance.
On May 27, in an interview with Bloody-Disgusting, Dougherty gave his explanation of how and why Godzilla and Kong would come to blows. He calls it reminiscent of an underdog battle, comparing it to David vs. Goliath and the fight between Rocky and Ivan Drago in Rocky IV, where Kong is easily seen as the underdog but might have some surprises being an intelligent primate who can use tools and has his speed and agility. Dougherty added it's a primal part of the human species that enjoys watching animals fight each other as the gods depicted in mythology, and that Godzilla and Kong fighting each other is destined to happen as Kong is partially what originally inspired the creation of Godzilla.[90] The hope is that their motivations for fighting each other are sound, and not contrived. But when you have two extremely hyper-aggressive masculine territorial animals who both believe that they’re the rightful rulers of an entire species, chances are they’re going to do more than have afternoon tea.

The greatest crime committed by Adam Wingard's sequel was the disenchantment of the world built by this movie and the massive, almost grotesque trivialzation of Monarch and the titans and the new world dynamic setup by this movie.
Apparently even fans don't want that, they want the movies as dumbed down as possible. I've said this exact same thing on reddit and the people there just say "oh but it's giant monster fights, we don't like humans and plot. just give us 2 hours of monsters mindlessly fighting." I personally think it's a massive waste of writing talent and production to appeal to literal children and nostalgia addicts.
@Sosnir De Jejejo Tbh that's more of a boys thing. I'm not saying girls don't watch anime, just not a lot of girls at my school watch anime unless it's those shitty romance ones.
MonsterVerse Godzilla's Personality: In Godzilla, Godzilla's behavior seems to be that of a territorial animal. Ishiro Serizawa theorized that Godzilla is the driving force to restore balance to nature whenever that balance is disrupted, suggesting that he essentially considers the entire Earth to be his territory. However, unlike previous incarnations, he doesn't blatantly attack or plow through ships at sea simply because they're there. In fact, with larger ships like aircraft carriers, he simply dives down under them. Even when the military launched a combined forces assault to stop him, he didn't seem to react or fight back and simply continued to hunt the MUTOs, even when he was being followed in close proximity by four naval ships. As opposed to any sort of morality, it appears to be that he simply considers humans to be tiny and insignificant and does not care about their general well-being but at the same time does not consider them worth destroying even though they, without harming him at all, fire at him nonstop. Godzilla also does not seem to cause destruction on purpose. Even when he destroyed the Golden Gate Bridge, it did not appear to be intentional, but rather just him reacting from being hit in the gills by explosives. He shows little interest in humans, instead focusing his attention entirely on the MUTOs. It's possible that his supposed disinterest in humans well-being could be caused by their repeated attempts to kill him. After defeating both MUTOs, he leaves the humans alone without any more conflict. Godzilla does however occasionally show signs of advanced thinking, as he is shown adapting his strategies to fight the MUTOs and even uses sleight-of-hand to trick the male MUTO into coming in range of his tail, which he uses to impale him on a fallen skyscraper. He appears to possess some degree of emotion as he briefly looks Ford Brody in the eye when he collapses to his level, which also could suggest that he has at least some degree of interest in humans. Godzilla was designed to have a personality that would evoke the "last samurai" archetype, and be a lone, ancient warrior content with solitude and preferring not to be a part of the world but has to resurface when certain types of events force him to appear and set things right. Godzilla also apparently has some degree of rivalry with Ghidorah and Kong, as he is depicted fighting alternatively with one of them in various cave paintings. Godzilla has a symbiotic relationship with Mothra. She assists him in their fight against Ghidorah and Rodan, using her webs to glue Ghidorah onto a skyscraper, and incapacitating Rodan after he fought her. As she died, Godzilla absorbed her life-force, enabling him to go thermonuclear. When Godzilla becomes the Alpha Titan, he does not attack others who followed Ghidorah, and instead spares them when they swear their allegiance to him. Following Ghidorah's death, Godzilla starts to care for the well being of the human race, as evidenced by a clipping in the end credits mentioning that Godzilla is keeping the other Titans from attacking major human settlements.
Honestly king of the monsters was the most fun I ever had in the theater, I dont think I it deserves the hate it's getting by critics, this film has been nominated for a razzie apparently the critics haven't seen a bad movie in their entire life
Never rely solely on critics to judge a film for you. They don't give their honest opinion first, they say what will further their careers/reps as critics first and foremost. And frankly, it says a lot that people preferred GvK's cheesiness and mediocrity to KotM's more spiritual side and apocalyptic scope.
*The best part about the credits is that Godzilla, Ghidorah, Mothra, and Rodan are listed as playing themselves as if they’re actually part of the cast.*
Okay so. I’m new to the Godzilla fandom. And when I tell you the absolute WHIPLASH I got from the engraving at 1:01 As a paleo and biology nerd, I absolutely wasn’t expecting to see a diagram that I’ve seen a million times used like this! For those who don’t know, that’s the first reconstruction of basilosaurus. Basilosaurus was a (now extinct) whale which was unreasonably elongated. When it’s fossils were first discovered, it wasn’t recognized as a whale, but instead as a very serpentine marine reptile- hence the saurus in the name.
I only recently got to think. This movie is VERY spiritually Japanese in theme despite being American-made. Not just coz of the help they got from Toho, but it shows that Michael Dougherty isn't just a great fan, but someone who understands Japanese spirituality. The various nature shots juxtaposed with the news articles of the Titans' beneficial effect on nature illustrates that. I've seen quite a few Godzilla films, but this movie is the one that really hammers home that these giant monsters aren't freaks of nature. They are gods. Or, so as not to use a term as loaded and diminishing as that, they are KAMI, living aspects of nature itself. The Greek Titans are closer to that idea than the generation of deities after them. Most notably Godzilla himself. He has always existed as he was. No nuclear mutation to change him to what he was. I say to translate "kami" as "god" is demeaning as much as translating "youkai" into "demon" is; kami and youkai are two sides of the same coin. The only difference is what side of nature they represent and whether they are worshipped or feared. But because nature itself is inherently both beneficial and harmful at the same time, so are kami and youkai fundamentally one and the same. What they will be seen as depends on what effect they have on humans is focused. Think of a river. Life-giving, but still potentially destructive due to currents and flooding. Godzilla isn't humanity's hubris come back to destroy them. Godzilla is an aspect of nature itself. That is what really makes us its pets. Mothra has always been a kami, but I think this is the first time Godzilla himself is portrayed as a kami.

In the MonsterVerse, Godzilla is the giant Prehistoric Amphibious Reptile (Titanus Gojira), not a lizard.
The big monkey vs the reptilian, atomic breathing literal alpha of an entire group of supersized titans. No question about it
@SS - 10YJ - Streetsville SS (2552) no, you're wrong. Godzilla is the giant prehistoric amphibious reptile (Titanus Gojira).
@SS - 10YJ - Streetsville SS (2552)What is Godzilla?:
Throughout his film appearances, Godzilla has possessed multiple different origins.
To that universe, a warning. To us on the other hand, WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! THEY GONNA FIGHT!!!!!!!!
Dougherty added it's a primal part of the human species that enjoys watching animals fight each other as the gods depicted in mythology, and that Godzilla and Kong fighting each other is destined to happen as Kong is partially what originally inspired the creation of Godzilla.[90]
The hope is that their motivations for fighting each other are sound, and not contrived. But when you have two extremely hyper-aggressive masculine territorial animals who both believe that they’re the rightful rulers of an entire species, chances are they’re going to do more than have afternoon tea.

I've said this exact same thing on reddit and the people there just say "oh but it's giant monster fights, we don't like humans and plot. just give us 2 hours of monsters mindlessly fighting." I personally think it's a massive waste of writing talent and production to appeal to literal children and nostalgia addicts.
Agreed

Can we talk about how it basically confirms there’s something at Loch Ness meaning the Loch Ness Monster exists in this universe and is a Titan

Honestly king of the monsters was the most fun I ever had in the theater, I dont think I it deserves the hate it's getting by critics, this film has been nominated for a razzie apparently the critics haven't seen a bad movie in their entire life
While making almost 400 mil... stupid critic's
100% correct it was soooo fun😊!

And when I tell you the absolute WHIPLASH I got from the engraving at 1:01
As a paleo and biology nerd, I absolutely wasn’t expecting to see a diagram that I’ve seen a million times used like this!
Imagine this song playing when every monster from 1954 to 2021 came out of caves underground and oceans
I can't get enough of this song
It's just too good
For some reason the “As ecosystems heal, 14 species taken off endangered list” made me smile
