YES!!! This is just about how im wanting to do my boat since I only have a ten footer an im a 1tackle box an go type fisherman I figure simple an maybe some few small tweaks to personal preference ya know.. but I'd love to see updates on this boat!!!
Great job fellas. Looking to do a middle board deck on my 1655 tn lowe roughneck. Just have to make the time to do it. Joist hangers were a great idea. Thanks.
This is not a 1448 boat , it is a 1436 Jon boat, the 1448 model is much much wider and has a much bigger nose area, his craftmanship is really nice and the fit turned out pretty good too, but it still labeled as the wrong size boat !!!
FIREANT FISHING I have a 160 pro bass tracker that I have been fixing up. I had problems with the transom and when I tore into it the damn thing didn't have any supports to the hull. Only the cross member on the back. With my 40 hp motor that ain't going to cut it. So I am going to weld some in so Maybe if anyone has any pointers send em my way. Thanks
Damian Trotter oh man that will be a nice project. You tried asking the folks on Tiny Boat Nation? I’ll be honest I’ve never had that issue so I wouldn’t be much help
best way to do it for sure just finished up my 15 footer even had enough room to add a rod locker and two extra hatches with pretty much that same structural design
FIREANT FISHING id post some pics but i dont think i can here haha. I was able to use a 2" hole drill bit and slide pvc tubes into the front face of the front seat and cut out a section of the middle seat to rest the rod handles under the deck the extra foot was a big help though. I can fit 7'3" rods but cant quite fit a 7'6" rod about an inch too long
Have you tested it out on the water yet? Like the simplicity but want to hear about thw stabilty while you are on the water and working the troller from the front
Pretty cool kinda like mine im 300 pounds and mine holds me with no problems and i have a foot control trolling motor in front 6galen tank 25 horse on back and a big deep cell battery plus like 100 pounds of fishing stuff and it floats awsome
Ur like me i don't like drilling hole on the outside of the boat . U didint all a bunch of weight. An u can remove it easily I'd need b . Best video I've seen . Thumbs up
they told me 1/2" plywood. Are you talking about using pop rivets when mounting the joist hangers directly to the bench in the boat (like he did on the rear)? I don't think you can use pop rivets to mount the 2x4 to the boat bench can you?
FIREANT FISHING I really want a 1448. Is it that much more stable than a 1436? Primarily I want to take my 5 year old out fishing, so stability is kinda important to me right now.
What do you think about using 2x3s instead of 2x4s for the framing sub floor ? wondering about shaving off weight but will it be supportive enough ? for my fat ass ....( ha )!
Thanks guys! I actually saw yours a lonnnnnnnnnnng time ago before i started my 12'. Very nice rig and i watched your updated video on it too, looks like you guys have been keeping it in great shape as well
Simple build and to the point. I love it. Thanks for sharing this video with us. I pickup my Tracker 1436 tomorrow. Cant wait to start. Thanks again.
thank you! awesome, good luck and have fun!

I love the simplest of this billed. Smart an simple. good jod
Beautiful! Great job man
Nice and simple. I like it.
dope! I had a big foot before I went to a foot control and it worked great!
WAEofFishing awesome! That’s good to know
That is a orange beard dude! I guess that's why this is fire ant fishing
Damian Trotter true that haha

Jason Mitch oh nice! I really like how simple he kept this one. That extra foot makes a huge difference

Jason Mitch instagram?
That's a fantastic looking boat... great job!
Keep them videos coming.
MasterMind will do thank you!
Have you tested it out on the water yet? Like the simplicity but want to hear about thw stabilty while you are on the water and working the troller from the front
Jim Price not yet, we will soon and make a video on it
This is epic!

Should you possibly wire and pipe in a bilge pump?
So how stable was it after decking it out. I'm thinking of buying one decked out ready to go. I'm 260
Nice. Hes gonna want an outboard motor on the back i think.
Fireant...! Yeah
Ur like me i don't like drilling hole on the outside of the boat . U didint all a bunch of weight. An u can remove it easily I'd need b . Best video I've seen . Thumbs up
Ben Wicker thank you! He did do a great job on his build
Nice and simple
what paint do you use to seal up the wood. thanks
why have you not been making more videos? how is your boat holding up you built
I honestly haven’t had time. However we are starting a build on the other 1448 this week, so videos will start up again
I would put a floor in that front storage to keep from clanking when putting stuff in there.
That Dude There that’s a good idea as well
Keep both batteries in the back. After u walk up front that will be more of a equal distribution
Tip: pop rivets work better then self tapping screws.
TheRickstr66 yeah I would agree
What size? And what thickness plywood did y'all use?
they told me 1/2" plywood. Are you talking about using pop rivets when mounting the joist hangers directly to the bench in the boat (like he did on the rear)? I don't think you can use pop rivets to mount the 2x4 to the boat bench can you?
How wide is the front end of this boat?
Wendy Brown not sure, it’s a 1436 not 1448 like I originally thought, that’s my fault
2" self tapping screws will hold all that weight??
Bluegill20 should be, I would prefer rivets though
As long as he put quite a few in. It's all sheer weight anyway.
Almost to foot of the end of the plywood sits on the old seat anyway it should hold just fine
Tracker topper 1448? You mean 1436?
Recon9143 yes your right, that’s my fault. I misunderstood what the difference between the two were. Thank you for bringing that up!
So it's not a 1448?
toolman no 1436, my fault
FIREANT FISHING I really want a 1448. Is it that much more stable than a 1436? Primarily I want to take my 5 year old out fishing, so stability is kinda important to me right now.
Recon9143 yes for sure way more staple
Dude if u could put a drive console on that it would be official as hell.. still love it tho
haha very true
Would of used steel studs.. instead of wood...
The fire ants do not drown when it floods and instead grab onto each other and float.
What do you think about using 2x3s instead of 2x4s for the framing sub floor ? wondering about shaving off weight but will it be supportive enough ? for my fat ass ....( ha )!
What kind of dog was that?
Thanks my dog looks so familiar and I can't figure out what else he is besides pointer
Such a cool rig. Come check ours out too!
Thanks guys! I actually saw yours a lonnnnnnnnnnng time ago before i started my 12'. Very nice rig and i watched your updated video on it too, looks like you guys have been keeping it in great shape as well

Warning click bait ,one glance and I can tell you if that's a 1448 I'm a freckun millionaire! Not!
