Are there plans to add a seat pedestal mount to your front deck and is the front deck with just the plywood sturdy enough to support it? I have a Tracker Topper 1436 and doing it the same way. Hurry up with the next build video, enjoying the vids.
I love watching your videos they are very helpful. I have a 1436 jon I wanted to do a jon to bass boat conversion with. My concern is with the stability of the boat while standing on the front deck, is it realistic to safely fish while doing this? I fish by myself and would only be fishing small bodies of water up to a couple hundred acres, but I must be able to stand and fish. Is it worth a shot to try this with a 1436 or would you recommend just getting a wider bottom boat for this? Thanks for any feedback you can give me.
Dose the jon boat have to be a flat bottom. I'm looking at a v-hull 12ft that I'm getting a great deal on. To good to pass up with a trolling motor. Can this be converted into a kick ass bass boat? Or does it need to be a flat bottom "square nose" or "front"? If you send me a link or email I can send you pics so you can tell me what you think. Also I'm in south Florida do you know anyone in the TB nation down here that can assist me. In addition I don't know how to weld so how would I go about getting thr frame fabricated and attached? Thanks any and all help would be appreciated. Who ever reads this can comnent and offer assistance also.

No it does not need to be a flat bottom. Mike Lopez has great builds on his channel about v-hull jon boats.
What was the device you used to move the boat at the beginning?
Nick Backencamp it’s called a trailer dolly. I got it at Northern tool for about $50
My only issue is......

Where do you get the template for front deck?
