Are you serious? Please...Even I can see the lights through a video on a little smartphone screen in the middle of the sockets...Okay, the tubes are glowing too, but there's also a light underneath them. Open your eyes, man!😅

The amp is solid state. However, the tubes distort (buffer) the input signal, influencing the sound sent to the power amp, and then to your speakers/headphones. How do I know this without pulling the unit apart? By rolling the tubes. If the tubes were just for show, then why would the sound signature change when exchanging the original Chinese tubes for some Russian ones? It isn't a pure Tube amplifier but to say that the tubes are just lit up for show (and thus having no effect on the sound) is preposterous. Do a blinded test and you'll know clearly if the tubes have any effect on the sound that the amp pushes out. It'll save you the time and trouble caused when you start pulling the innards apart.
[EDIT Jan 22, 2021] I just checked and see that my hybrid tube amp is a newer model than this one that is tested in the video clip. Mine is the Nobsound MS-10D MKII.

Hi DrFlippin, what tubes did you use, to replace the original ones? I’ve seen videos warning about rolling them, as the specs of the board are unclear. Thanks

@@slidelltowne183 Have you ever heard the Nobsound MS-10D? I have one hooked up to a pair of kef Q100 speakers and the sound is amazing! There's a reason why they sold a ton of these and it gets rave reviews on Amazon. I've had these same speakers hooked up to a Marantz 2235 and the Nobsound sounds better. Sold the Marantz on Ebay.
Better clarity and definition, far better separation and imaging. The Marantz had a more powerful sound, it's meatier, but the quality of sound wasn't nearly as good. Pretty incredible considering I sold the Marantz for $450 on Ebay, and you can pick up an MS-10D Mark III for around $160.
Fake? Who cares when it sounds like this?

Those tubes are just for show. There is no high voltage to power tubes.

There were two solder points on the back side of that circuit board that lined up with the center of each tube socket. I’ve built tube amps before. There are no connections in the center of a tube socket. Those look like connections for an LED. Just an observation

You should have read the description, if an amp says HiFi, hybrid, solid state amp. Look for point to point wiring Vacuum tube Amp. A real tube amp have vacuum tubes that glow a reddish color when warmed x

I know my videos are very amateur but I’m only doing this for fun. I appreciate your compliment. I checked the fuse, it’s a goner.
      Thanks!

Estafa.
