Anime these days still can't compete with the art or the graphics. Like where they were in the woods in the beginning and the cut off head falls on the forest floor and blood starts raining on the head.😮😮😮

The sword that got the blind ninja killed was Kaguras as she swung it at the blind ninjas ninja missing him but causing it to be stuck in the bamboo, Jubai then uses it to position himself that it will block the other ninjas sword stroke so he can stab him.

This is the best anime ever made. There is NOTHING you could change without losing value. It's a pure masterpiece of storytelling, animation, and human nature.
This and Vampire Hunter D (both 1 & 2) are the pinnacle of anime for me as a kid. This me on the path to anime and been seeking out gems ever since. I felt I would never come close to the feeling, then I found Baki the Grappler!

I remember seeing this in 2000. My was watching it and i came in on the part were Tsi was drinking the ninja's blood like a gallon of Hi-C. I said let me finish watching this. And that sold me on Anime!

Conservation of Ninjutsu. One ninja is an unstoppable killing machine. A duo or small team of ninjas are fallible but ultimately superior given the right teamwork. As the numbers increase, the quality spreads further and further into quantity until eventually you have an army of ninjas that are nothing but cannon fodder.

this really reminds me of katanagatari tbh, it seems like the same genre of anime, historical japan with a set number of enemies the protagonist has to fight 1 by 1 while losing the person he loves until he reaches the last enemy

The anime that got me into anime
Jubei didn't predict that the bamboo blade was going to save him or crafted such trap. He even acts relieved when able to defeat the deaf guy since in the sequence it is clearly shown that his sword hits Kagero's blade first and then Jubei lands his strike. It goes with the theme of the movie also. He jumps in many fights without having the upper hand and ends up winning either by grit, luck or the help of others. It makes him more likeable and brave. Also, it's the second time that Kagero saves his life.
EDIT: People think also that Jubei "positioned himself" to be protected by Kagero's blade, but that is also not true. Utsutsu both throws him in that direction and was going to be able to land his strike first. Jubei just has time to try and stab him and it's only because of the blade that he is able to do it.
You neglected to credit Kagero with helping to defeat the Blind swordsman

This was such a dark anime series back in the day, but I enjoyed it..
Whenever a anime girl cuts her hair they say “oh look it’s Sakura” but what about mulan? She cut her hair too. Sakura is more modern but mulan is still better in my opinion

naruto and and naruto shippuden both came out after ninja scroll.
perhaps some inspiration yeah but still they have vast differnces,
naruto manga started in 99` while the anime came out in 2002
ninja scolls manga started in 93` and the anime in 2003
@MidnaZ the Ninja Scroll movie did not come out in 2003! I bought it on DVD in 2000. It was out long before that!
