I remember driving to work when my 6.0 shut off all of a sudden. After a couple of minutes I found the fan connector fell into the fan and shredded the wires and popped that pcm fuse. Gotta love them 6.0s!
We have a 99 7.3 powerstroke that loves to pop the aux Diesel computer fuse. Done it often enough that we put in a circuit breaker. Finally found the cause a couple of months ago. The overdrive off button no longer works since the wire for it melted off. It would get pinched when manual shifting to any gear lower then drive.
Check your fuel bowl heater. That can short out on the wall of the fuel bowl and pop that fuse. You can unplug that heater unless you're someplace super cold like Canada/Alaska. Somewhere on here Arod did a vid on that issue.
Since I bought my Excursion in 2010, the fan never worked. I blow my first set of head gaskets on the grape ine. After it got hot, I did some research and found grounding the blue wire at the fan plug would turn it on.. I now have a switch in the cab to turn it on 100%.. I never leave it on for periods of time, worried it would damage the pcm...
2004 Ford F250 SD 6.0 stumbles intermittently or engine dies. Replaced Clutch fan, ICP sensor, Crank sensor, Camshaft sensor, 2 new batteries but still have same problem. Look for loose or broken wire??
I got a 05 f350 6.0 that keeps dying, changed batteries & alternator. Works for the first day then dies like there's no battery charging. What could be the issue? I get the right voltage then drains to 7.4Volts then engine dies.
Dad had a 05 6.0 6 speed 4x4 XL dually, the turbo exploded going up a hill in about 06 with 36k miles lol won’t be buying a 6.0 or a 6.4. 7.3 Dinosaur or 6.7!
I like your channel and you provide a lot of good information. Additionally, you seem like a real nice guy. However, your electrical diagnostic methodology leaves a lot to be desired. If I can suggest, get some training in electrical diagnosis or watch some videos on RUclips Channels such as ScannerDanner; South Main Auto Repair, Schrodingers Box, etc.

Got the Hayden Mechanical fan clutch, billet water pump and an all aluminum rad on my 04. Never gonna have to worry haha

That dashboard beeping would drive me more crazy than the truck not starting
starter sounded a little weak just replaced mine 22 years old can't complain
The old dashboard beep is much preferred over the annoying new do-dee-doo.
In all the new trucks...I shut that doo dooo feces noise off

@@JoshHefnerX It hasn't been a problem since the wire melted on the OD button. We even put a regular fuse back in the panel.
@@Ghauster That happened to me also, 2 days after buying it. Didn't stop running but lost throttle and gauges as I pulled up to intersection. - 03 7.3
Thanks
Some 6.0 love!
Awesome video. Cummins have issues with fan clutch
Always on point my friend Happy ALOHA Friday 🤙
As soon as I saw the title I knew it was fuse 22
Had the same fuse pop due to harness rubbing and shorting out on the right front valve cover.
Nice find
Another successful diag, even if you did have to go down the rabbit hole 👍
Aussssssie

Very interesting how you can find problems with your program, I wish I could learn that!
Experience
Can you do that with forscan?
@eduardocampos2214 yea
Did the customer have you replace the fan clutch and was that the fix? I needs to know!
Fan clutch time!!!!
You hate that chime, I think the newer Ford chime is the most annoying sound in the world!
If a guy is in the market to buy a new F250 gas engine. What should he be looking for on the test drive and how long should that test drive be?
What software are you using?
Ford IDS

I'd have to install the computer to watch many values to determine that
Need to check on Ray in Florida. He is missing in action..🤔
He's got the flu
Yepp I know. He needs a hug and some chicken noodle soup. And maybe some root beer &* may be a little piece of chocolate and perhaps a nice blanket
Ray's wife unit has just posted an update on her channel. Doesn't sound good
What is that software?

For that, I'd have to look at it
Fuse #22 ECU 20amp 😂
