Yoshi’s Island DS may have the biggest difficulty spike of any game I’ve ever seen. World 4 starts getting quite a bit harder, world 5 is just ridiculous, and the extra/secret levels are downright superhuman.
when I first played it as a kid, I was stuck on level 3-1 (I think it is) for a long time because of that part with the boat, where the big fish eats Yoshi almost as soon as he lands in the water.
Yet somehow I managed to beat it (with a completed museum and baby coin collection) despite not being able to get past world 2 in new super mario bros wii XD
I haven't beaten 3-S and 5-E though
Tbh, it had some ups and downs. Start of world 4 was pretty OK if I remember right, not hard not easy. Then the 2nd half was fairly easy imo except 4-7, that level was a pure pain. Then 5-1 was pretty difficult but the other 3 levels of that part was doable. And then the 2nd half came. That might be one of the hardest levels I've ever played. (Not counting the secret levels)

When I was a kid, it made me really mad, so yeah lol
2-S isn’t the most difficult level in Woolly World, though it might be the most frustrating. In terms of pure platforming skill, 4-S is way more challenging (especially to complete 100% in a single run).
It’s a testament to how easy Crafted World is that the hardest “level” featured is the Kamek boss battle.... The Hidden Hills levels are tougher than anything else in the game and yet they are a cakewalk compared to YWW special levels. (That Kamek battle is pretty tough, but even then, it’s not any more difficult than the gold-level bosses in the YWW boss tent.)
4-S absolutely the hardest level
I can agree on level 4-7 from Yoshi's Island DS 😂 at age 12, I could never even complete it without falling into the abyss at the skiing part, until a video from LuckySevenDX came along with an indirect tutorial on how 2 beat it 👍👌

Just played it for the 1st time, dear lord what a beatdown it gave me, that segment with the falling bouncy balls caught me so off guard.

Kamek Revenge it's just very tricky because Kamek it's Haunting you But still Hard enough
I respectfully disagree about World 4-7 in YI-DS. The Secret & Extra levels were still more challenging than this one.
I could have told you how many times I had to do Teeth-Chattering Chill Zone on the DS, it was One hell of a level

"See Poochy Run!" in YNI was a mess.
But the hardest level for me in YWW was "Naval Piranha 2: Now It's Personal!".
*EDIT:* The hardest level for me in YNI was definitely 5-S: "Snow Go Mountain". That level gave me so much anxiety.
I struggled on Perils of the Perplexing Pyramid in Poochy and Yoshi's Woolly World which was why I never beat that course

Secret 6 from Yoshi's Island Advance had me ragequitting
4-S was by far the hardest level in woolly world. 2-S was annoying and took a while but I rarely died, 4-S was extremely difficult especially since I was going for 100%, but even without that it was really hard
2:48 Yoshi’s Story’s easy? Try getting all melons! That is the most punishing out of *all* Yoshi games, especially the level you mentioned. Barely any room for error, and one shlub-up results in a mandatory reset.
I'm pretty sure that Yoshi's Island Easter Eggs is the only video game level that has ever caused me to cry out of frustration, because of that spike-lined room with the fast-moving arrow wheel. A Light in the Dark was also terrible for me, but I can't remember what the hardest part of it was for me.
You think playing it normally is bad? I had to play the majority of it with a sore arm (thanks tetanus shot)
I think yoshi's island DS hardest levels are 3 and 5 extras by far.
Yoshi's Island Ds makes me feel it was made by Disney for some reason. Reminds me of Tarzan and The Lion King.

The most difficult level in Yoshis New Island is for me the level with bullet bills and no ground.

Ugh do not remind me of Crafted World's kamek fight, that boss was so annoying to complete, ESPECIALLY THE BOSS CHALLENGES.
Very tough but a welcome challenge after such an easy game. And I still thought it was (relatively) easier than the gold challenges in the YWW boss tent.

What? Teeth-Chattering Chill Zone is absolutely not the hardest level in DS. Some of the special levels are much more difficult. Even some of the world 5 levels are more difficult.

Perils of the perplex pyramid doesnt look that hard
It’s not all that hard, really, it’s just frustrating because it requires precision with “loose” mechanics. The difficulty is less obvious than in some of the other special levels, which call for tight platforming under duress.
I didn’t think Kamek’s revenge was that bad....
