    Timeless Beauty
TAROCCHI by Mr Friborg is a love letter to the old school tarot decks of a different era. Inspired by the classics, the artist (yours truly) has selected his favourite cards from a small selection of his preferred decks and added a unique twist to them in order to put together this little gem of a deck. The result is an eclectic yet cohesive set of tarot cards that aims to be modern and timeless at the same time.
    TAROCCHI by Mr Friborg
The cards in the Major Arcana as well as the court cards are directly inspired by classic tarot decks with only minor twists. The decks that have served as inspiration are The Soprafino, The Mitelli, The Minchiate, The Neoclassico, and the Etteilla Tarot. The Minor Arcana is more loosely inspired by the classics as well and there are many nods to other classics such as the RWS and the Tarot de Marseille. All of the artwork has been redrawn by Mr Friborg in order to achieve a sense of cohesiveness throughout the deck
.The Mr Friborg Twist - What's with all the skulls?
Through my entire creative life there are certain topics that have always held my interests and have become part of my artistic expression. Some of these themes are history, religion, classical art and well.. death.
The morbid undertone of TAROCCHI by Mr Friborg is meant to serve as yet another trope of classical art; the Memento Mori - A reminder of who we are and where we are going. It also may remind us that death is neither the end nor the beginning of our journey, but simply a part of it.
    Deck Specifications
    - 78 cards as a traditional Tarot deck. Additional cards may be unlocked through stretch goals.
    - The cards are standard Tarot size, and the paper is 350 gsm with matte, linen texture. Same as used in my previous project "PVRGATORIVM HEKS" - for those who know ;)
    - Regular card board tuck box - Although I will try my best to source one that is high quality.
    - Little white book, pamphlet or "cheat cards" with key words or references. As this deck is classic in style and system the guide provided will be minimal as there exists a ton of info and ressources free online - not to mention a plethora of books explaining this far better than I ever could.
