- On a recent holiday break to Venice, Italy, we stopped by the nearby Italian island of Murano which is famous for its Murano glass glassworks, glass art and glass blowing. We stopped by one of their Murano glass factory shops where for a small admission price, they let you sit and observe how they did demonstrations of how to make various venetian art pieces. Here is the "making of" video for how their master glass blower made a two handled lightly colorful decorative flower vase.
It was a blown glass vase made of clear glass, but had little pieces of multicolored / colored broken glass chips rolled into the clear glass to add little pops of colourful accents.
Note: In the edit I did cut / fast-forward through the time that the glass was being heated in the oven because I thought it wouldn't make for great viewing - so bare in mind that the time frame shown that the glass was in the oven in this video is not exactly what it was in real life.

Its an amazing history that goes back to the 1200s when glass blowers from Venice were all banished to the Island because of the fire risk to the city. 800 years of history in each piece.
I could watch this video again and again. I love Murano and the glassmakers there. Thank you!
رائع GOOD🌹🌷💐🌿
I LOVE Murano glass! I have a small bowl made in Murano and it's so beautiful.
Gold 👍🏼
Ich kann ewig schauen...
... these true artisans make it look far too easy... brilliant!
It happens every day, falling in loving with glass and making emotional colored vases. Thanks to all working in Mazzuccato Gino glass since 1958
Mazzuccato Gino Murano Glass since 1958 amazing 😍😍
Grazie a Voi che siete parte di quell'Italia di cui siamo fieri ed orgogliosi di farne parte
The part where he pulled the ears to make handles for the vase was dexterous!
文化藝術~謝謝~♡♡♡♡♡
Beautiful art glass
Bravo bravo bravo Doktore !!!!

That's so cool
He made that look easy. I bet it’s not! Wish I could do something like that.
So beautiful so talented
아름다워♡
Big fan 🤓 big ❤️
Maravilhoso
I have a Murano venetian Vase made to look rustic like it was unearthed. The glass handle broke. I wonder if they can repair this kind of work?
Ack! I was hoping for a close up shot at the end.
that's good
I went there a month ago it was really hot in there
How did he get that vase off the rod?
i think its because hes using a wooden-framed bench!
A constriction is formed early in the process, it acts like the perforated edge of a spiral notebook, allowing the artist to cleanly remove the vase.
He probably just simply tossed it away
You add a drop of water at the base of the punti or "rod" where the vase meets the glass on the end of the punti and give it a light tap & it comes right off.
how many times did you all cringe thinking the vase was gonna fall off the stick onto the floor and smash into a million bits? lol
You should have shown the final result in details at the end.
Ahhh, it's in the thumbnail, beginning of video and the glass blower holds it up at the end.
Lütfen bana vazo göderimisiniz pahalı diye alamıyorum
I am from BBC and i want your this video to be the part of our documentry on venice if you agree please reply me
Solo i nativi di Murano possono fare questo mestiere , l unico straniero ad aver il privilegio di aver imparato quest arte e lavorare con i maestri del vetro è stato un ragazzo senegalese ... l unico non di Murano a fare vetro di Murano
Italians (venetians) do it better!
