I really love this modpack that you have put together! I love playing plain old vanilla and could never get into the mods that my friends were into, and to be honest, mods just feel too overwhelming to me, so seeing this where its almost all QOL mods I can get behind! Thank you! :)

Nice collection here ! I got a question as I'm trying to set up a server, do I need to copy/paste the config files found in the modpack to the config folder in my server to get the most of the experience ?
As long as you have them on your client you should be good, but there’s no harm adding them to the server too!

sorry, im very new to modding minecraft, but i recently tried loading the modpack through the ATLauncher like suggested, and mostly everything is great: except for the fact that everytime i try to rebind specifically the "sneak" key in the settings, it automatically puts an "Ctrl+" or "Shift+" (or sometimes both) in the string, and also sneak seems to only work properly when in "toggle" mode instead of hold. of course short term i could get used to these different binds, but im wondering if there's any solution to this very specific issue lmao. thanks
(extra information - this also happens when trying to rebind the sprint key as well. it's as if minecraft thinks im holding shift or control when rebinding these buttons even though i am not)
1:13 what mod makes the model of the weapon show in the tooltips? I don't believe you mentioned it, nor included it in any of the packs?

I wish the custom beds and better loot was in fabric, considering this is 6 months old they might be.
Just wondering why you didn't include appleskin in the client side pack? Is it not a client side mod?
if you make a server with fabric server side mods do your friends need to download fabric api or the same mods to get it working?

Do you plan on updating the mod any time soon? I think this modpack along with Distant Horizons would breathe life back into Minecraft for the first time in years
For sure! Currently working on a how-to on making a shader with distant horizons support, updating my modpack would be a good next project!
@@samuelgerkin Can't wait to see what you come up with. While I've got you're attention, I'm having some odd frame capping issue occurring to me upon my first installation of Genuine. It seems that I am stuck at 30fps no matter what I try.
@@flashinout Sorry about that! my best guess would be it’s an issue with dynamic fps, you could try removing that from your mods folder for that instance. Perhaps borderless mining would be good to remove too. Hope that helps!
@@samuelgerkin Thanks for the help, but I figured it out. Fullscreen was causing the issue.
i have issue on servers, that path texture is actually doors which i can close and open, slabs dont even render (invicible) i dont know which mod makes conflict.. atleast i can look for help here
A lot of the "fabric only" mods in this video also have Forge counterparts!
Another thing, I'm not sure why you chose Optifine for the forge modpack, Sodium and Iris both have forge ports, Rubidium and Oculus
maybe its to do with compatibility? I haven't tested this much though, so its just a theory
What feature in vanilla tweaks allows saplings to plant themselves? I can't find it

What’s the difference between client and server sided mods? Does that mean the server mods you listed won’t work in a single player world? I apologize for my ignorance but an explanation would be appreciated!!
single player worlds create a local server so all mods will work in a single player world! If you join a multiplayer server, you may join a vanilla server with any client side mod, but in order to join the server with a server-side mod the server needs to have that mod as well.

I wasn’t sure if they didn’t work on single player for some reason 😅 regardless, this was a very well made video and it has inspired me to create a mod pack for myself! how do you install it? i downloaded the pack and it downloaded in a weird .mrpack file? there were no mods in it only the config settings for the mod. when i tried again on curseforge website same thing! should i dowload it a different way or is it just broken?
Hi! Sorry for the confusion! The pack needs to be downloaded through a mod manager (I recommend ATLauncher) that will read that file and download every mod! You can open a mod manager like ATLauncher and use the built in search modpacks feature to find this modpack and download it!

If you want the default one, that will be client!

Client and server versions, either forge or fabric, have the most. I think fabric has a few more than forge but not by a lot

IRIS is 1000x better TRUST I got a 5600x 3070 34gb ddr4 got around 120 FPS with BSL shaders at 13 13 sim and render IRIS i can do 20 20 sim and render and have Any shader and maintain smooth 144FPS

It is running at 4k with ultra shader settings to be fair
minecraft shaders at max settings at 4k will make a threadripper and even the 4090 kneel down
not a bad collection.
you should lose visual workbench (ugh) in favor of "workshop for handsome adventurer" (forge server) for quality of life and add "spyglass astronomy" (fabric client) for an extra hobby.
Sometime I wonder why half of these aren't already part of the official game. What are the devs even doing. If random modders can make all this shit why can't a professional team of game developers. So bad.
