(I can't believe I haven't gotten around to commenting on this yet, please forgive me!!!!) When I wrote/drew this comic in 2020, I did not even consider making a tie between the two of the endings. I just decided to make two endings as a sort of comic-layout experiment - BUT THE WAY THAT YOU TIED THEM TOGETHER??? INCREDIBLE!!!! I could not have done it better myself!!!! I am SO impressed you've made my old comic (veeery old... im still cringing at some of the drawings, especially on the first page XDD) this dynamic and well-flowing. I will forever love your work!!! KEEP IT UP!!! ❤💕✨⭐❤❤ Also I have to mention, 'His Theme' from Undertale is SURPRISINGLY fitting for this comic, and I love how you put it in!!! :D (also just a lil fun fact... I drew the first page of this comic about 5 months before I had the idea to write Partners In Crime. Just thought I'd share this detail!!! ^^)

The interesting thing about Steven and his connection to his mother is the sheer fact that he learns everything about her in reverse. First about his relationship with Greg, then, when she was resistants leader, the hints that she kept secrets from everyone including pearl which when you tie that in with the big secret that she was keeping for pink, it has just had a little extra layer of hurt when she found out the pink was keeping secrets even from her. The whole issue with spinel was basically pink diamond, believing that she needed to be serious now that she had earth. I’m being serious means putting away all of your toys.
Lost friends, the feeling of no turning back, and just trying your best to do something to help a tormented young soul. I'd say given the context of the game, the song fits well with this comic.
Holy shit went 0 to 100 really quick here. Steven having the ability to seemingly rewind back time def fits him, I can def see something like that having a big impact if it was canon
these were two separate comics. Phoenix did the bad ending first then, to combine the comics into one, Steven claimed the "bad ending" was a vision Garnet showed him where he and Spinel died in Pink's garden and the "good ending" was what actually happened, at least in the context of Phoenix's dub

these two comics had nothing to do w/ each other, besides the main scene, but you flowed them together so flawlessly! while watching the comic dub and reading your description, i was still on the "bad ending" side of the comic so i was wondering "How in the hell could you connect this to the good ending besides pulling a cliche 'oh, it was just a nightmare'? That probably wouldn't even flow well anyway, so how???" but then you pulled a narration explaining it was a Garnet vision Steven had seen and had it flow into the "good ending" comic of "what actually happened" and how Steven altered the future Garnet foresaw. you did such an amazing job!
Steven is so kind Even if someone attacks him He's still when I want to hurt them He wants to make sure everyone's okay even if he's in danger that's so sweet of him 😊
This Steven Universe comic dub with this alternate ending was just so emotional and touching! Major kudos to the actors as well and I do feel sorry for Spinel and Steven to be honest.
How did Steven contact the diamonds if Spinel breaks the communicator? She couldn't have obtained the sharp edge of warp pad material without using the broken communicator as the means of breaking the warp pad.
I wish we explored the garden more Steven started gardening wish he made this place his. Even all the other places that were his mom's the arsenal, room, ship, etc. Despite seeing them they never really had prolonged significance
Pretty sure it's because Steven doesn't want to be reminded of all the terrible things his mother has done, I mean look how things went down in Steven universe future. It took him to get away from all the gems stuff & explore other parts of the world not just live the life his mother has to make him happy

No one one gonna talk about how universal the undertale soundtrack is like every single comic I've been reading from Sonic from mario even this if it wasn't for undertale I have no idea what kind music they would be using
Yea there's even a fnf mod being made with a pearl from steven universe (the tv show) called Dagger!Pearl, this pearl is so obsessed with Rose that she decides to cut out Steven's gem while he's sleeping, but he ends up waking OR at least that's the general concept of the mod, but it hasn't been fully made yet

Killing her and making her suddenly take a heel-face turn is not a redemption arc! If the crewniverse can redeem literal space dictators who committed mass genocide *multiple times,* I'd say they can redeem Jasper!

Spinel deserved better when pink abandoned her. spinel waited there smiling in the start..but nothing was good for her when she was alone... shes been alone a long time..when she got a message from steven she ran then things were never the same she thought... Then everything changed stevens happily ever after been wrong when spinel wanted revenge. She wanted to poison the earth and poofed the gems..when she poisoned it steven wanted to talk about it. We know spinel did bad things but she never meant that she just want pink and spinel that she was from era 1..poor her..
this makes me think how many times Garnet must have seen him die with future vision, i wonder if she's ever scared that one of those realities will happen and she won't be able to stop it this time
u made the comic rlly well. the art, the personality, the only thing is the dialogue sorta doesnt make sense in spots and the VO is a bit off, but otherwise its almost perfect
To be fair, at this point all she really did was fuck up the gems (which is already found to be fixable) and kill a hill (also easily fixable). No major damage was done at this point that couldn't be fixed in about a week.

I heard that undertale transition at 2:54 and "his theme" at 3:37 and wow it really added to it well
