@@CarExpertAus OK, I've just stuck the vessel in reverse gear. It hasn't got a reverse camera like the Nissan Juke has so I might need help doing this 3 point turn.
I've bought a Juke (arrives next week) and I have watched over 30 reviews - this is by far the best I've seen as he explains the details very well and leaves out the 'fluff' - thanks!
I like this channel. Nice camera work, 4k, good editing and graphics, regular noting of finish and fitment issues, and informative reviews that hit all the key points. The durometer and driver height graphics are nice points of difference. Keep up the good work. I've subscribed.
Great review, personally I actually like the look of this car. If the engine was stronger and had AWD I would consider getting this. Do we know if a larger engine is coming? In Europe the reviewers advised that overtaking on motorways was difficult in this car. Paul can you do a comparison review with this car? Like Kia Seltos vs Juke vs T-Cross?
At this stage Australia will just get this engine and transmission combination. But the platform is capable of all-wheel drive, so I suspect the broader strategy will include new drivetrains for this platform :-D On the topic of comparisons, we're looking at a format that will work so keep an eye out in the coming months!
Great review again! I saw a white one the other day from the back and it looked quite 'squat' with big haunches. It was only a quick look but I wan't sold at least in that colour. Those 'huggy' :) seats look good however I wonder for the rear passengers if that black plastic on the headrests will be a pain for reflections (although there will rarely be more than 2 people in most of these). Also surprised they didn't go with a CVT for this, I thought that would have made more sense since it is a city car. And finally, even though it is the top spec, I couldn't justify nearly $40k on the road!
Yep it's a big step up in price over the last generation. But it's now playing in a segment where the others are charging a premium. It arguably feels like better value for money too given the materials they use throughout the cabin.
I love the look of the old Juke. I had a 2011 and now drive a 2013 Nismo 6 speed. Was so upset when it was replaced by Kicks (boring). Guess I'll be keeping it for a while.
Ah yes, the Kicks is smaller than the Juke I think. We don't get the Kicks in Australia - I'm hoping they roll out some Nismo power to the new Juke. The platform is capable of all-wheel drive, so it would be fun to see a potent hot hatch from Nissan.
My ECUTek Tuned to 244 WHP 2011 Full custom down pipe exhaust all the way out the back, TS BOV, 2J crank Pulley, Mishimoto Front mount Inner cooler N 3 port XL Oil Catch Can, AWD Juke SL will smoke that thing and Yeah that's newer but in no way other than the (CVT) is it better than the Older models.... But I'll check this out.. They won't bring the Juke to the states and if they did they would have to put a bigger 2.0L or 2.4L turbo in it along with a dual clutch transmission and they would have a hit no doubt!! People who own Jukes love them especially the 6 speed manuals.. All Nissan would have to do is put a Dual cutch auto with an AWD system that can handle 350/400 Torque, and leave it tunable and it would be a hit here.. The sticks are starting to become popular here.. People are seeing there tuning potential along with their cheap price.. The Early CVT's really gave the Jukes a Bad Name.. The problem was that in order to keep the CVT from Breaking you would have to do a drain and fill at least once a year if it's a daily driver.. And people did not know to do it.. And Nissan wasn't telling people to do it..
thanks for making family guy, i love when stewie goes "what the deuce" hes my favourite!!! BTW why did you kill brian dog? (dw just saw the new episode hes alive good.)

@@CarExpertAus that's a shame, it's a nice looking car but I can't really justify to pay nearly $40k for this. The Nismo Juke RS despite its age seems like a better option if I just want performance
You're right, but it's a situation most drivers will find themselves in when doing a u-turn or being impatient. Outside of that particular shot it would do the same thing when stationary.
That is a lot of money for a stupid 1 liter, a definite step back from the sweet, punchy 1.6 liter MR16DDT engine that was the newest engine from Nissan a few years ago. For the price of a base Jule you can buy a MG HS Base which has 17 inch alloy, 1.5 four cylinder turbo, Mid Size SUV with 7 year warranty. for an extra $1,000 the next trim gets synthetic leathers, key-less entry, Sat Nav, rear seat recline-able, lumber support for driver, LCD/analogue dash, climate control, chrome trim, fog lights, lots of USB charge ports, Leather steering wheel and gear knob, sport metal pedals, push button start, LED tail light, indicators on mirror, rear camera, and rear sensors, Driver Safety Suite systems, DRL, Adaptive cruise all for $30,990 Australia dollars Driver away and I forgot touchscreen 10 inch infotainment. It’s a Crossover not an SUV. A lifted vehicle based on a passenger car platform is a Crossover - Because it’s crossing over from Car to SUV (but hasn’t made it). An SUV is a vehicle NOT based on a passenger car platform.
The drive is terrible though. I bought one after watching the JUkE review videos and the longer I have the car, the more I regret it. Today i was driving along when crash sensor went off - auto brakes applied, warning alerts were blaring but there was nothing in front of me. In a 80km zone this was not fun!!!! And this always happens!!! Very jumpy bunny hoppy drive - for 40000 AUD youd think theyd at least have the driving experience right. Seems as though they put their budget in the aesthetics but even that isnt amazing
Nissan traditionally uses a CVT : journalist's not happy Nissan switches to Dsg : still not happy. Well if DSG shud belong in a sports car, why exactly are we flooring a crossover and expecting it to act like one.
Not quite - we've praised the CVT in X-Trail and Pathfinder. I think the gearbox pairs well with those engines. This alliance transmission is poorly calibrated and is unpleasant to drive unless it's in Sport mode.
I had a Nissan never again. A Japanese car that's lost its way that's paired up with Renault? No thanks. Drive in sports mode and I'd suggest it will poop itself once warranty runs out with a 1.0 litre turbo.

Getting myself a Juke next week! Loved the drive feel and overall quality of parts inside out
good reviews. My fav Aussie channel for car reviews. You cover so many features of a car that I would look at. keep up your excellent work man!

Welcome aboard! Thanks for the subscription and the feedback!
If the mechanicals are as impressive as the styling, this will be a hit. Looks much more tasteful than the chr
from BT-50 to Juke.. so busy mate! pretty solid!
Flat out!
Recaro used to have a seat model back in the 1980s with Blaupunkt speakers in the headrest, great sound I had one back in the day!!
I'm one of the six people who actually liked how the last one looked.
Ha ha, that's okay! Styling is entirely subjective, which is why it's such a good thing! I promise we won't judge you!
I thought the previous was pretty cool, but I loved that it was different...
The new one looks 100000000000000x's better
I love my 2013 Nismo.
I live in the U.S... Juke is no longer offered here. 😥
I already paid for the downpayment. Can’t wait for it! Thanks for this review, appreciate it! ♥️

The best Juke review in the world!
The infotainment system seems a lot better than the prev gen but seemed to be a bit slow to react when you typed in Melbourne airport.
You can use Android Auto on Apple Carplay. Who cares about infotainment
Yes it's much, much better. Not incredible, but much better than the previous one :-D
Great review - Nissan they have finally redeemed themselves with this Juke

Do you trust your durometer ? Which alternative would you suggest ?
Is the indicator on the left side like the old juke? And the window wipers on the right?
its sad that they dont make the nismo version of the juke anymore :(
Is this really a step up from the cx-3 space wise? I was considering the cx-3 due to it's naturally aspirated engine.
Can you please do a review on MG HS
We are trying to get our hands on one at the moment :-D
@@CarExpertAus thank you, you are awesome :-)
How is it compared to the T-Cross? spec and price seemed similar
Feels much nicer and a little roomier than a T-Cross on the inside. Although I prefer the way the T-Cross drives in comparison to this.
@@CarExpertAus does the quality filter down to the lower spec model? $36k for the Ti is pretty pricey...

At least this one doesn't look like a Super Mario Character.
14:30 it lags because you put the car in reverse while it’s moving foward and that damages the gearbox.

Juke or puma???
It actually looks really good! One of the best small SUVs in a sea of boring in that small segment.
My 1989 FC RX7 convertible had speakers in the headrests.
Nothing new.
This looks way better than the us kicks
Is that a coin holder in the glove box? Thumbs up for that nissan now my change wont end up under my seats.

great review for a great little car..mm 3 cylinder ..naq
Thanks, Phil!
I'm in Canada at the moment and the old one had a 1.6 turbo. A 3 cyl 1.0 turbo is pathetic for this vehicle considering the competition.
They literally all have 3pot 1 Litre turbos 😂
Had it for a few months now the problems would be:
- Sometimes the engine may not be as smooth, at times it may just rattles or shakes
- About $1k for the 3rd year servicing (I think they'd have to replace the trans) so the cap price servicing is not as attractive as Ford's
- Wish there's the thing on top of your head to hold onto and sunglasses box
- Suspension a bit too firm
But:
- Love the sound of the engine and the G-pull if you want to be the Hoon for the day
- They fixed the petrol cap on the body, it's not stick out like in the vid.
- Very accommodating if you're single or a small family
- the looks and sporty handling
- Nissans haven't sold much of these so yeah you'd get great deals on these if you look around especially during this shortage season

I test drove one today. The delay in the take off was a bit too much, ain't it? That's the deal breaker for me.
The lights remind you of Yatterman cartoon symbol?
Yes they do!
14:30 yikes! Please stop the car first before putting it into reverse.
Will do!
Why want they bring this to US again ?
They replaced it with the Nissan Kicks which has been doing well.

36 k for that . What the hell.
It's jumped in price over the outgoing model - but a big step forward in specification and features.
36k for an SUV is normal pricing if not low?
