Hey George, were you one of the 3 wise men that went to see the baby Jesus the night of his birth? In my head, one of them looked just like you with your awesome white beard. I absolutely love all of your posts. You not only are the most knowledgeable but you also have the best beard outta everyone I’ve seen. That thing is epic and majestic. Thanks for taking the time to educate us. Keep up the great work my friend.👊
I work outside all season. Winter is especially tough on the beard. What I've been doing for a few years now is adding a few, I mean 2 to 3 drops max, of olive oil first out of the shower, then finishing with my normal beard oil, minus the olive oil drops. I tend to concentrate on the hairs farthest from the follicles. I like the slower abortion during the day in harsher climate. I make my own unscented for the winter while using olive oil. I enjoy the extra virgin scent.
Sultan, been a while since I have visited your channel....I must say that beard of yours is looking real good, it looks like it grew another 6" since I last saw it.......I have been using that beard oil recipe that you gave me and it works fine, thank you so much for the tip......Keep that beard healthy, this beast of mine needs taming every day....Thanks for spending your time making these videos, another good one in the books, Cheers......
Hey silver Can you make a video of how you make your own beard oil? I would love to see how you do it so I can start doing it myself! That would be a great video!
So, I just learned the hard way ... do NOT mix thieves oil. I love the smell of thieves oil, and it has medicinal properties, but WOW does it burn the skin!
I don't have a beard as I'm a woman, but I would suggest that you just squeeze out some of the water out of your beard, then put the oil in. If your beard is dripping wet, most of the oil is just going to slide off with the water wasting the oil. Don't towel dry it, just basically squeegee enough water out with your hands so it's not dripping all over the place. Your beard hair will still be plenty wet for the oil to lock in some of that moisture. I use a leave in conditioner on my hair and that's what I do. I squeeze the water out so it's not dripping and put the conditioner in while it's still pretty damp.
Thanks once again for the informative videos. I have been allowing my beard to completely dry before adding anything (thinking that water and oil don't mix.)
so you put the oil in when your beard is 90℅ damp? I thought the oil wouldn't mix with water. I have a beard that's 3.5 inches long from my bottom lip to bottom of my beard. would I need a dime amount?
George I live in Western Australia, we do not really have an Autumn /Winter, we go from summer to winter , then a little Spring then summer again. Dry environment. Similar to Arizona, New Mexico. Now I was told and have seen U Tubes that say put oils on after the balm...what is the dammed system I should be using please? Do I oil when near semi wet as you say, then let the beard dry naturally...when do I put balm on to tame what I have which is course hair with soft sides?
where do you purchase your oils? Sounds great. I purchase cremo beard balm from Walmart last week. And it smells awful. It smells like tea tree oil and sour socks I had to throw it away so I want to make my own and your combination scents sound great.
I work outdoors in the brutal Chicago area winters where the windchills can dip below zero., this is especially harsh on my skin especially my hands and face. The beard makes a big difference and acts as an insulator for my face. Can you recommend anything for my hands and face, they get dry, itchy, and red, most lotions I've tried don't do enough to alleviate this.
Hey Brother, I know exactly what your talking about. I've been swearing by Corn Huskers Lotion for 20 years. Also, if you use beard balm, you can use that on your skin. Shea butter works wanders!!! I Work in NY allot, and know that bitter cold!!
JJw650 jones It works. But in my opinion it makes your beard less itchy and softer, therefor reducing the odds you'll shave. Anyone peddling an oil or pill that they claim will increase growth, is lying to you. Oils cannot and will not replace genetics.
that's alot of balms and oils man. I'll take whatever ones you don't want lol. like seriously I always like trying new. ones and can't really venture out much cause they're expensive.
Because the skin absorbs the most when its wet...oils are for your skin first of all, also softens the beard, gives you a better look & health..dump beard ...every beard product must be taken on dump beard, when its dry ..result is soft, nice looking beard...skin feels the best & absorbst the best😉
That’s exactly the point, you apply the oil when the hair is damp (not dripping otherwise the oil will drip off your beard and also look strange) once the oil is in the damp beard, the water that is soaked INSIDE THE HAIRS THEMSELVES becomes trapped in there, it can’t be easily evaporated by the air because the oil has created a barrier, thus the beard stays hydrated for longer.
Sultan I took your advice, and got some grapefruit essential oil, but my spice shop didn't have Black pepper oil, so I got oregano. What do you think of an oregano grapefruit blend?

A real life wizard !! Wow
What a beard !!

Fall just started and old man winter will soon befall the northern hemisphere. Therefore this video came in time for its usefulness.
That look Brother , hat & beard , this is your prime look right here .

Hey silver
Can you make a video of how you make your own beard oil? I would love to see how you do it so I can start doing it myself! That would be a great video!
Argon oil at Wally. 4 oz for like $5. Fantastic oil for beards.
Wizard Man 🧙♂️
Great video! How about another beard oil recipe! My favorite is cedar wood and grapefruit with marula oil I love that smell
I picked up some hemp oil -- wish I saw this first and then I would have gotten the canibus oil instead.
I'm surprised you didn't mention tobacco. Both Beardbrand and Detroit Grooming Co. have tobacco scents in some of their oils and they are awesome!
+Scott Allen I love tobacco oil aroma. I made a green beard balm that is fabulous
How do you add tobacco scent? Are you infusing the oil with raw leaf?
I believe you can buy tobacco essential oil
I am not a smoker at all but I do love the smell of a tobacco shop!
Not that I've found. Closest I have found is tobacco absolute which does not have the same scent.
So, I just learned the hard way ... do NOT mix thieves oil. I love the smell of thieves oil, and it has medicinal properties, but WOW does it burn the skin!
George, do you suggest that beard oil be added to a dripping wet beard right out of the shower or should you lightly pat dry with a towel first?
+JeffK......That is what I want to know, then when to use the balm after
I was wondering the same thing. I use a blow dryer so I wasnt sure if it should go on before or after drying

I always find oil makes my beard feel too greasy and horrible
Thoughts on blow drying after applying oil right out of the shower?
Good advice Sir, but what's on your Bennie hat? Football? 😄
Should you dry your beard right out of the shower before you apply the oil?
If so, should it be thoroughly dry or just pat dry with a towel?
so you put the oil in when your beard is 90℅ damp? I thought the oil wouldn't mix with water. I have a beard that's 3.5 inches long from my bottom lip to bottom of my beard. would I need a dime amount?
Hello George,
what is the first oil you show us? Jojoba oil? I understand "hohoba".
So you would recommend the beard oil right out of the shower then blow drying correct? Do you apply anything to your beard after you blow dry?
Have you ever use the emu oil it’s really good for all year round
Great video...
mr. Salton how long did it take you to grow your beard that long

How to condition your beard during the Hot summer during july thru October in the south

How about in the summer
Hey George question for you. Do you apply the beard oil before blow drying after a shower? thanks!
Yes
have you tried eucalyptus oil? I use it and it seems to enhance my beard growth.
I keep hearing about you co-washing, but haven't seen what you actually use. Can you go over what you co-wash with?
+DJ Eden Coconut Co-wash
where do you purchase your oils? Sounds great.
I purchase cremo beard balm from Walmart last week. And it smells awful. It smells like tea tree oil and sour socks I had to throw it away so I want to make my own and your combination scents sound great.
Why not a Balm?
Put the oil on the skin Or else it gets the hose again
You look like OSHO!!!
I am Osho

italo512 correct!
Which kind of oil can i use on my silver/white beard that conrols yellowing of the beard?
Does growth oil really work or is it a gimmick?
JJw650 jones It works. But in my opinion it makes your beard less itchy and softer, therefor reducing the odds you'll shave. Anyone peddling an oil or pill that they claim will increase growth, is lying to you. Oils cannot and will not replace genetics.
Have you ever used leven rose beard oils?
maveric L I use the non scented oil and balm everyday. It keeps my beard moisturized much better than Beard brand oil.
Thanks for your feed back chadd!
that's alot of balms and oils man. I'll take whatever ones you don't want lol. like seriously I always like trying new. ones and can't really venture out much cause they're expensive.
Santa
Is that cannabis oil an essential oil?
how do you make the cannabis oil
What is your favorite video? One of your's.
Why would you oil a wet beard? Oil and water don't exactly mix well.
Because the skin absorbs the most when its wet...oils are for your skin first of all, also softens the beard, gives you a better look & health..dump beard ...every beard product must be taken on dump beard, when its dry ..result is soft, nice looking beard...skin feels the best & absorbst the best😉

Sultan I took your advice, and got some grapefruit essential oil, but my spice shop didn't have Black pepper oil, so I got oregano. What do you think of an oregano grapefruit blend?
+Bart Kelley Oregano is VERY strong. Use the tiniest amount.
