only a real civil engineer could tear rifts in the fabric of the earth like that
architects could never

only a real civil engineer thinks turbine are giant desk fans!

You are speaking the laungage of engineers!
The architect designs it.
The engineer is fed up and says "Fine, you forgot to carry a one and want to divide by zero? I'll make it GOD'S problem to deal with."
RCE: builds a nice, respectable beaver settlement and starts a new season anyway
Also RCE: builds a broken/ridiculous save in cities skylines, continues season to try to break it more
isn't this sandbox tho? i think it's a little bit different

I'm so glad I found this channel. I used to think architects were just regular, nice people. Thankfully Matt has opened my eyes to the truth!
We are 😂
One is causing a lot more destruction and the other managed to create flying cars.
There's two types of architect the insane ones that just no God no and then there's a regular plain old boring
What did they do?
@@Darrthvaderrthey make weird infastructures, and they also design stuff very badly and wont give a frick about it and they let the civil engineers deal with it
I love how RCE was taking this seriously at first, but then started to slowly dive into the realm of insanity
Never Forget that Andy Dwyer was once stuck in the pit (one much like this, only way smaller) and it nearly cost the city of Pawnee a pricey lawsuit.
I was in it, the pit
You were in it, *the piit*
As a city planner, I really appreciate you putting all failures of city design on the architects.
Keep up the good work
And yet, who keeps giving money to these architects? Who are the supervillains behind the villains?? Developers developers developers developers!
@@TrendyfluteUgh these stupid developers😡😡
With the year nearly over, I think it would be nice to see a "bridge review" review. Yes, a look back at all the bridge reviews from over the year. Maybe a count down from best to worst.
I'd love to see this city sent to Biffa to "fix" once you're done with it :D
The architect colony is peaceful and prosperous while the engineer town is falling apart and everyone is dying. That's shockingly accurate.
With The Pit all I could think of was the climbing scene from the Dark Knight Rises.
When you separated the two halves you should have made an access road to engitopia so THEY can come in and work and do the landfill work. The architects then cannot escape and they can only work at the landfill.
9:30 DOUNUT
I’m amazed, RCE managed to go a whole video without drawing a knob
Hmm... the planes approaching the Archiport seem to be using the "oscillation overthruster" which was perfected by the engineer/rockstar/neurosurgeon/test pilot Buckaroo Banzai.
Nice planes. I noticed they have Trans-Dimensional Phase-Gates Built in to allow them to travel through different dimensional planes in order to pass through solid objects. Truly a marvel of engineering.
2:54 that's what I loved about prison. The sound of the city disappeared.
I think your poocano is just filling with water because you built the Eden Project in the Pit. I'm pretty sure the Eden Project disables pollution generation
My dude is just casually setting himself up for a whole generation of bane architects
for some reason the landfills & windmills reminds me of the time when my granddad (who was always super serious) took my brother & me on a road trip through Georgia where he grew up, and as we were going over a bridge, he slowed down to well below the speed limit and rolled down the windows to make us smell the paper factory. He thought our reaction was hilarious.
For those who don't know: paper mills STINK!
I've just found your videos today after redeveloping my Cities Skylines obsession, watching your realistic build of Engitopia really made me want to build my own realistic city. I'm obsessed, thank you so much for your content!
4:00 I actually looked over at my stove because I thought I had left my teapot boiling. Well played.
Edit: As a motorcycle rider, I would love it if every city had a roadway like the one at 5:24. It might be an engineer's nightmare, but the CORNERING would be so fun.
Does he know you can ban certain vehicles using Traffic Manager
Edit: Always remember to watch the whole video before commenting
Skylines and timber born and hydroneer are the reasons why I still follow this channel. Games that you have freedom to screw around always turn out good content
Every time I see a cities skylines video, I click instantly
That, planet crafter, and timberborners
Every time. Quality content
One day he’s gonna surprise us and build a realistic city
He should send this map to the city planner youtuber and let him figure it out to a proper city.
Are you secretly an architect and built the city to PROTECT the architects? Also I have definitely definitely seen worse places... I have been to Chatham... urgh
HERESYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
The airport reminds me of that military thing where the c-130s had to dive almost vertically and land because there were anti-air guns cutting off the airport.
Grim Reapers here on youtube did a reenactment in DCS.
RCE is one of the few people I have ever seen that does not know the difference between commercial and industrial. He keeps calling the industrial areas commercial.
Seems like "The Pit" is a good opportunity to test the limits of those cable cars from the Mass Transit DLC. Have the airport and/or a bus stop, etc up on the ring with some cable cars to shuttle people up and down. 🙂
Sensible RCE plays timberborners like a pro
Childish Matt play cities skylines like a maniac
To be fair, having a 2nd roof over my roof would REALLY cut down on my electricity bills in the summer. keeping your house cool when it's 115-120+ degrees outside is expensive.
Create a new city that converts architects to the ways of engineering
I'm pretty sure this is how the crusades happened.
Heresy
Once they become architects, there is no way back for them. It’s tragic. Nothing can be done for the poor souls.

Can I make a suggestion for the pit?
Delete the shortcut and replace the donut roads with toll roads!
This man's dedication to punishing Architects is astounding. He's doing the lord's work!
Knowing how CSL's has a 1st person veiw I really wanna see what the 1st person perspectives of this marvellous city is like RCE.
10:35 So that's what the tears in the fabric of space and time are for
I've never seen such an accurate rebuilding of Bradford in cities skylines
God imagine the plot twist that RCE was an architect the entire time the community would riot
Matt you absolute architect, you built the eden project and it's cleaning up all the sewage.
RCE great video , but the commercial In the pit is actually industry and I think you should cover the top of the pit above the dark side with bridges and that will make the planes more fun to watch
Also RCE really cool engineer the architects channel: BAC bad architects channel
All jokes aside, the story with this series is actually absolutely inane
I love your city, skylines videos.
We have to give credit where credit is due. The fact that they did the impossible and it didn't collapse, means these architects were working with some genius *engineers* when making that cantilevered roof.
The sewage pumps stopped outputting polluted water because you built the Eden Project.
Check if you have something called the Eden Project placed down. If you do it is what is stopping the poo outlets from making pollution. If you want them to make poo again you would have to remove the building.
"All they can do is look up and wonder what life outside the wall would be like" - RCE, Attack on Architect episode 1
Yo this reminds me of the city of La Paz in Bolivia, it is not this dramatic but it is in a pit. And a very dense city. Also great video civil engineering!
I wonder if this city would be fixable if you apply some reason and add like some death care and get rid of some of the sewage pumps so poocano doesn't overflow. Maybe check if people are still getting sick from water or if there's something else causing issues like noise.
You should create a paradise for engineers looking down upon on the architects
Petition for the new area to be called archi-bury, it feels fitting since you’ve dug them a hole
I cant wait for the day the architects escape and see what happens to engitopia
I would like to see a montage of all the bridge review that you made in all of your video!!! A big hommage to ALL bridge!!!
It's being worked on! Might be a patreon/member bonus video though
Name the road going out of the pit, “Glacier Gulch.” If you know you know
Only an engineer could make two poocanos, a city below sea level, and a semi- underground airport!
Wonderful job editing as always Schmichael! :)
RCE: You can't support a roof like that!
Me a KSP veteran: You clearly have yet to realise the power of small rigid cables
I need more Engitopia, I’ve been here since here since the 696,969 sub special (nice) and loved you ever since, but there has been a lack of Engitopia ever since…., we need more of this! Please RCE
The day may come soon where a bridge gets a 10/10 from the great engineer
@4:43. This here gives me nightmares. Let the Highway Engineers figure it out? I quit!
Only engineers can appreciate true therapeutic value of this video
I love that he never realized the "commercial" area was actually industrial zoning
matt, u need to put crematoriums adn cemetary's literally EVERYWHERE to clean up the detah problem. THen more people will move in and make more poo for the poocano
RCE create a special place for the architect.
The engineer of Engintopia: I don't want to live that close of an architect! I leave this world!
Holiday gifts coming early, thanks RCE!
I should have known *THE PIT* was for Architects but Matt it's too nice for them 😁
RCE, look at what time it is! Architects can build that way because YOU'RE IN THE FUTURE!
World if cities were built by civil engineers: "Welcome to the pit!"
World if cities were built by architects: *flying cars and airplanes incapable of crashing*
good luck to anyone in any of those districts/cities that has to commute
Lol, this video recalled me that some engineers would be building a bridge over the faculty of architecture of the university of Porto. Future architects will be learning under the shade of it. 😅
Dam architects always getting them selves in a city with this man. They deserve this!
if you look at Palau de les Arts in Valencia, you might change your opinion of what kind of overhangs are possible and which aren't
…a CITY IN THE SKY OMGGGGG TWILIGHT PRINCESS REFERENCE
matt, that bridge looks like something an arquitect would come up with
Look at your videos from France 🇫🇷 and I love what you do 😁🙃(I’m listening to king of the pop right now 🎶)
Best cities skylines creator no doubt and keep bringing them please we love engitopia
Plot twist Imagine RCE is actually sending engineers to the arcatech place with out even knowing
FINALY!!!! finaly a new engitopia video is here
is anyone else wondering how long it would take for the architects to fill their city with their own poop?
rce you have inspired me to be a fellow engineer- specifically a traffic engineer. thx for making all of these videos, they’re really fun to watch.
Imagine giving Architects their own Wakanda. Sounds too nice for them considering they already have a sewer island, don’t ya think?
RCE!!!!! Can we please get a top ten bridge reviews of 2022???!!!!!!?!?!?!?!?
I feel like a tunnel would have been more fitting. A dark never ending tunnel. It will be like going to hell and your mood will drop into a sufficient sad state before entering architown. Also would keep the tears of reality away.
"I just built the Pit."
Everyone not an Architect moves to the Pit.
"Engitopia is suddenly dying.
Its so crazy it actualy might work
The actual spite for architests in Matt🤣
That plane was giving them the John Denver experience
5:20 - Why does Matt call industrial commercial?
What I thought
Is it an injoke?
Ah, nice to be back on Engitopia again. Still waiting for a new Infraspace video though😅
OH HELLO
u can use super pumps to suck out excess sewer water from poocano without causing it to overflow and destroy everything
"All they can do is look up and wonder what life is like outside the walls" made me think of Attack on Titan.
"On that day, mankind received a grim reminder. We lived in fear of the Engineers and were disgraced to live in these cages we called walls."
Yes mat our favourite engineer
@Don't Read Profile Photo okay
Bath mat, door mat, or floor mat?

Nice to see back the content that got me here in the first place!
"Let's add in some commercial!" Zones nothing but Industrial. =^x^=
one of the residents must be like: Welcome to PİTTsburg A.K.A. THE PİTT FO3
happy holidays all
As an engineer, the easiest solution to getting your architects in would be a 6 lane tunnel in and a one lane tunnel out with cars restricted. You don't want them to even remember the beautiful views on their way up. Could you hollow out a mound so that there would be no sky?
Vid idea: build the largest crop farm in engitopia
The cantilever roof was indeed excessive, but it could serve a couple of purposes. I doubt rainfall has anything to do with it, but it seems to be used for a low energy way to cool buildings in desert climates. For one thing it would be a great way to reduce heating of the roof and walls caused by the sun. It also looks like it could lift up cool air and even drive localized advection to cool the surrounding area which would otherwise just stagnate and accumulate heat on the surface. The leaf-like form is clearly an architect's fault though, don't get me wrong.
"Pretty sure its bridgeception"
You sure about that Matt!? You sure its not the multiple holes you tore in reality!?
Not sure if you read comments RCE, but thank you for posting daily. Had a crappy day at work, just to find out that my flight to see my wife for the Christmas was canceled. This video has given me a few minutes of entertainment so please keep it going!
Just got recommended this channel. Can say I am happy with the recommendation
i remember that the first ever vid i watched from you was the one where you built the poopcano and i thought that you honoured the architects by giving them their own island lol
