How comes that such great athletes have to climb to such poor music? It would really drive me nuts. I reckon, every athlete should be able to bring the music she/he wants to climb to. Would make it much more authentic. Consider this, IFSC! ;)
Once you're climbing at that level, everything fades out and you're in the moment, one with the wall. You don't hear the music if you don't want to.
Honestly even just as a spectator my ears are bleeding ;)
Btw interestingly they do briefly discuss the music aspect during Jakobs ascent, the fact that climbers try to zone out but still hear it, and even influenced somehow by the beat at times. Very hard to ignore it.
@@angelojumped being a professional musician, i just think they deserve better music :) there's so much good music out there and i always hear crappy house or electro music while these great climbers perform their art..
@@EaglePicking well: why not let them have the music they love and that pushes them? would make the competition even more colourful :)

Countback to Semi-Finals, where Lehmann ranked higher. If athletes tie in the finals (boulder or lead), than the ranking on the semi-finals comes into play as well.

how did the last guy already know he'd won, and celebrating immediately? i thought they werent allowed to see others attempt?
the athletes can usually tell by the crowd reactions the general area of standings where they are. My guess is he was celebrating more that he guaranteed himself a podium finish than knowing he got gold.
You are allowed to watch after you finish all of your attempts.

To keep blood flow in hand : -
When possible.
A) lower the hands and
B) elevate the ankle.
Most knows A, less know B.
Why elevate the ankle?
@@dagoberttrump9290 gravity normally pull blood downwards away from the arm/hands raised above our heart and worst when ankles are at a lowest point. Raising our ankle above the lowest point so the heart can redirect energy and blood to the most needed place, our hands, so our hands can last stronger and longer.
