We pruned a few trees this year, and I couldn't see throwing it away. Generally we use hickory, oak, pear, and apple. Figured "fig" is a fruit tree, and we'd try it. Thoughts?
This looks like another incredible recipe. Thank you for sharing. Question, do you ever use a smoke tube in your pellet smoker or do you get enough smoke from your pellet smoker. My pit boss Pro series I absolutely love and run two smoke tubes with just about everything I put in there. Just wondering. I hope you and your husband keep up the great videos.
I don't! I'm not a huge fan of them. The smoke flavor they produce can be a little acrid for my taste. My main workhorse is a Woodwind Pro that burns full wood chunks alongside pellets as well. I do like to use them for cold smoking though!
Nothing. I have more than two dozen smokers at this point and I like to rotate them out for videos. It gets a lot of off camera use alongside my Woodwind Pro for regular weeknight dinners.
These are great - I made some with pulled beef (from chuck roast) a couple of months ago.

Yes! It's awesome cooking wood. Definitely save it and cook with it.
