Hello everyone!
This is my audition for EvilSquirrelQueen's Blood Moon Rising roleplay, based on the werewolf card game! I am beyond excited for this, the concept is so creative and I'm sure it will be amazing to follow even if I don't get in!
● CHARACTER NOTES ●
Name: Katelyn Bennet
Age: 21 years old
- She is the daughter of the richest merchant in town. Due to her family's riches and her beauty, she has been used to have suitors knocking on her door pretty much daily since she was 14.
- She is kind and shy, afraid to speak her mind because, as taught by her mother, "a woman is supposed to obey, not complain".
- This causes Katelyn to have a rather "plain" personality so far, because her parents haven't allowed her to develop her true personality.
- She is finally forced to marry Haleth Bartock (Gaston), a rich lord of a near village. However, he abuses her physically and verbally, and she doesn't receive any support from her parents, who despise her.
- She has a major crush on Devon Louve (Tulio), who actually treats her with respect and like a human being.
- So does Jay Giles (Aladdin), her best friend and the person she trusts the most. She's oblivious to the fact Jay loves her more than just as a friend.
Way more about her if I get in, but it may change depending on the role I may get. Nevertheless, as I've said, this was sooo much fun to make and plot with everyone!

Ahhhhhhhh! :D I love how you portrayed her crush on Devon - it's beautiful, with the stars and night sky and how she's floating in her daydream. And my gosh the sound of the ruffle of the curtains to emphasize the turn of events with the wedding AND THE SHATTER WITH HALETH WAS FANTASTIC. DAMN. Aww, and I love how you did our scene with her and Jay. The fireworks were such a nice touch. ^^

okay lemme just say that I've never been a fan of tulio really, his character always even as a kid irritated me HOWEVER I'm starting to ship him and Kate?? so BRAVO TO YOU AND YOUR AMAZING EDITING for making that a thing >.>

The effects in this are insanely beautiful! I just adored so much the first scenes!!! Everything is so pretty and the story is so good, I loved the love triangle! Hahahahaha 😃💗 Wish you the best of luck! ✨

Hellow there ♥ Thank you again for your audition! Now without further do, here are the long awaited judgings ♥
Positive:
-Song edit (was fitting and helped tell the story)
-90%+ of the video is maniped/edited
-Mostly perfect masking
-Coloring is very beautiful and colorful
-Creative backgrounds
-We get a very good image of who Kat is and what she is like
-Dream/crush sequence from 0:02-0:11 (was very cute and visually clear!)
-Use of underused characters (Anna + villain from home on the ranch)
-The manip of the marriage contract
-The sequence of Gaston crushing Kat’s dream(s) and hope(s) shows great visual representation
-Dialogue is very easy to read
-The firework sequence
-Use of audio/sound effects to emphasize thematic details (curtains at 0:18)
-Lyric and music matching with the editing & manips (ex. “ocean eyes”, the shift in mood of the song @ 0:27, the camera shaking, etc.)
-Expressions are very accurate and portray the emotions of the characters extremely well!
-Interactions between characters are very entertaining and engaging (really loved the Jay and Kat moment at the window and Kat’s blush towards Devon :3)
-Fitting atmosphere and beautiful lighting throughout the entirety of the video
-Dialogue fits the character’s mouth movements/gives them the illusion they are speaking the words (especially at 1:20)
-The ‘space’ scenes at the beginning are stunning and depicts the real ‘dreamer’ that Katelyn is!
Negative:
-perspective at 1:20 feels slightly too angled with the cards (the cards should be a little more visible or the table slanted more to look flatter :3)
-Scenes at 1:12 transition at a fast pace/feel slightly rushed and odd with the subtitles.
Advice:
- It was nice and fitting to see mostly just her home, since it illustrates how Kat doesn’t get to go out much. But we do like seeing more sights within the town. So keep that in mind as the contest goes on, cause we’d love to see Kat branch out more and get to explore and see more places ;)
omg this is in insane!!!! I love the little sound effects and the beautiful visuals of this!! The dream in the beginning is so beautifully done, and the shatter scene with Hareth made me gasp!!! And Katelyn, Jay, and Devon's friendship is so cute!!! Best of luck!!!!

I love how accurate this is to the time line. Its funny, I was going to have my Gaston character be future husband as well, but I'm like nah.. Paige bows to no man. I think her crush on Devon is super cute ^.^ Good luck, I hope to see ya in the contest.
AHHHH IT'S SO GOOD! I love the beginning so much with her dreaming about Devon! Your manips and coloring is so stunning, and i love it when the image of Dev and Kate marrying is shattered by Haleth. So gooood. (My poor baby boy he's oblivious) Fantastic audition hun!

I really like the plot too and I’m so sad for Kate, gosh this life is miserable for the moment... their parents are assholes, his husband is such a pain in the ass, she is underrated, misunderstood, exploited, crushed by a macho fuckin’world and that’s such an awful period for women 😣 poor baby ! 😭
I love the contrast between her sweet romantic dreams (stars, lovers, moonlight, shinning vibrant colors) and her cruel reality (this broken mirror effect with bad Gaston is just so clever and so intense).
Also, Kate is soooooo cute with Devon (btw every time that I saw Tulio, I’m thinking of you now 😂❤️) and her secret feelings for him, super romantic and adorable, just like a little girl and her first crush 💕 (but poor Jay, he is so precious with her aaaah 😣 but love triangles are such a guilty pleasure haha).
Argh I love this team so much, and I can’t wait to see more 💞💞💞
