One of the very interesting things about Angelina is she doesn't compromise her musical artistry.She knows how to touch hearts and souls,no one else can coach her there.She's obviously a very gentle person but fierce in controlling her vision for her art.

I like the way you do this stuff. You manage to penetrate the feelings of the performer as the interpreter of the story as the composer might wish it be told. You are especially perceptive with respect to Angelina. We have seen little of her since her awesome performance on AGTC2, but she is clearly moving on. We have heard the voice of an angel become the voice of a celestial siren, which as you acknowledge, she can do anything with her voice.
I really enjoyed your comments. When she did not “win” the AGT, I was a bit disappointed because I really wanted others to understand why Angelina is so great. I remember telling my family and friends that I heard this incredible girl singing and most people didn’t understand or spent the time to appreciate. But, after your comments, I realize that what happened was perhaps the best. Angelina knows that she is a great singer. She doesn’t need anybody to tell her that she has exquisite musical tastes. She doesn’t need the competition, buzzers, and judges to tell her this. She will develop along her own path and will not be pressured by commercial or popular tastes, which frequently are crude and boring. If she becomes too popular, she will have less freedom and will have to spend more time dealing with the “noise” of celebrity and fame. At present, she has the best of both worlds. She has many devoted fans who love her and listen to her music. She can choose her path, do what she loves, and grow to be herself rather than be somebody that others want her to be.

Unseemly arguments have broken amongst people saying that she did not write Shield and how she may not sing certain songs for copyright reasons. Her musical choices will be governed by lawyers and publicists. Everybody will want a piece of her. She will have less influence on her path. The little girl without shoes may start wearing shoes. I hope that her family will listen carefully to her, protect her, let her go to college, and let her choose. There is a lot more to the world.

This is my favorite song ever written and song by Elton John and the first time I heard this I had actually tear in my eyes because she was able to make it even better and express everything beautiful about this song in a perfect way :)
Yes, this is one of her best and her signing is tailored to the AGT situation and the audience. The belting of the high notes is almost a requirement of AGT, and I think Angelina integrated it perfectly in this performance. What strikes me about this song and your video is how Angelina is there to give you her voice and her interpretation. And it’s spectacular, as always. Elton John is there to give the audience a performance of pop music. His clothing, his glasses, his back-up band are putting on a show. Angelina is singing to you. The result of this for me is that I’ve heard Elton’s version many times over the years-and it was pop music. I never went out of my way to find it. The first time I heard Angelina sing this was the first time I understood what the song was about. When Angelina sings, it’s so personal that you’re listening and comprehending the lyrics. Moreover, Angelina conveys melancholic themes better than anyone I’ve heard. A Million Years Ago, Bohemian Rhapsody, Born to Die, and even Bang, Bang at seven years old-she expresses emotion so openly and sincerely through her singing that you’re hooked at the first notes, listening intently to the story she’s telling.
For the preparation of this song, I can see that Angelina has gone through what you have just done here in order to articulate the song in her own interpretation. It is a kind of innovation in itself keeping the highs & low of the notes. Nice one, Well done to both......
This is my #1 Angelina song. I just love everything about it. You have probably heard that after 6 years of turning down offers from record labels, she has signed with Republic Records highest priority new artist. You mentioned she took a chance in the competition, with contract restrictions. Her manager/uncle, Michael Astar, said AGT had been trying to get Angelina to sing previously, but they declined for contractual reasons. Finally, he said AGT agreed to a special contract where Angelina will sing on the show with no contractual obligations. For some reason she didn't even make the top 5, I wonder why? Great choice, Keith! Some commentators say they don't really like this song by Elton John, but I always did. Angelina slowed it down, made it more jazzy and more soulful, and more beautiful in my opinion! Her voice is so gorgeous here, I just wish we could hear her sing the entire song!

We could assume that the same applied to Angelina. Pay attention to her reaction when Simon says that her decision to sing this song was an unusual choice. She had him placed on a pedestal from the time she was three, but found out quickly at AGT just what a manipulitive person he is. Her body language throughout her second appearance was very distinct to the first time.
Yes...Angelina did not originate this version, but, she sang the heck out of it. Her body language did betray her reticence with AGT. Even more than her body language was her restrained facial expressions. A 'polite' nod when Simon compliments her contrasts like night and day to her accepting praise for singing Bohemian Rhapsody. She learned a BIG lesson about the music biz sometime before her 2nd AT&T appearance.
Sorry I don't think in just a few words. What is your first language? I know nearly every song sung in English, 'ever'. So, I get the differences from the originals but playing both is brilliant!
