For a show and competition in China Dimash for me was perfectly prepared technically as well as every move on a stage, like a prodige boy, that's true! :) But this did what it had to do - big impression about vocal powers and high notes in the competition. So normal concerts are more emotional and better to listen for me. The more - the French song ,,S.O.S ...'' I find out carries a lot of emotions for Dimash. Personal emotions for a friend who was an olimpic figure skater and used the Dimash interpretation of ,,S.O.S..." in one of his performences. One day he was killed by robbers on a street... After that happened Dimash also showed his friend's performance during the concert while singing this song ,,S.O.S...."... We all may have different feelings connected with songs, places etc. Much is determined of our language, culture, personal experiences. What's more French is a difficult language. Maybe in recent performances he cope with the French lyrics better but I am not able to judge it :) so you can try it as a French speaker. And I like Dimash not only because of singing but also he is a great, extraordinary personality for me. I've listened to several interviews and I feel touched by his mature personality and love for the World and people. But of course You Monsieur don't have to discover Dimash. We all should have the right to like or dislike what we like :) Have a nice day with music that touches Your heart 😊

Wow, a reaction video where the person (you) is not obsessed or deaf!!! Thank you for your honesty. With that said, it took me quite some time to even like this girl. I do think she has a lovely tone, but I don't feel that she's this diva her fans want her to be, nor do I think she can compare to Whitney Houston. But with this song, I am a tad surprised, as I didn't think she was that bad. She usually cackles more! She did ok for me, but I've heard better from her. And when I see people's dramatics ad nauseum, my friend, this age, was singing circles around Streisand, and to this day, she is the only one, as a teen, who's tone can compare with AJ.

Je ne ferais jamais écouter la version « sos » du concours chinois , parce que je comprend que dans le debut de la chanson il prononce pas bien ni vis ni ris et pour vous les français, c’est même drôle j’imagine que comment vous êtes français des versions plus récentes ou son français a braiment amélioré ce serait une meilleure idée. Je suis un Chilienne qui habite Montréal et j’ai connu Dimash avec cette chanson et j’ai pleuré , il a fait m’intéresser à l’opera de Plamondon ,de la version de Balavoine , de Maréchal, et je crois qu’il a fait intéresser à beaucoup de personnes dans le reste du monde pour le français .

I like Daneliya and have watched her from the talent shows she's been on. Sometimes when I watch her, I think of a sassy, spunky, fun kid. She's got an engaging smile and dances and moves more than Angelina does when she performs. But musically, she doesn't grab me the way Angelina does. At the end of Daneliya's version she added the high run which seemed so out of place with the rest of the song. Also the piano was too heavy, not allowing Daneliya's voice to carry the song. Angelina, on the other hand, surrounds you with warmth and texture. She makes you feel the song, as she does with so many of her songs. The bottom line is this: If I only heard Daneliya and Rianna's versions then Rianna's would be on my play list. After hearing Angelina, that is the version that would be on my play list, and it is. As an aside, this song was done after dinner in Angelina's home with almost no rehearsal (she reads the words from the screen to her left) and it was recorded in one take.

She is capable of "reading the room" and then playing to it. Never the exact same performance but each one gives the listeners what they came to see and hear. AMAZING and very similar to how great PERFORMERS of the past climbed to the top and became eternal.

Emmanuel thank you so much for reacting to Sklavan. I'm really grateful to Sklavan for asking Angelina about where the music comes from. Her answer puts an entirely different perspective on her performances. I'm thinking especially her performance on NGT "I'm a fool to want you". There, it is almost as if she goes into a trance, then pops out into her little girl self when she finishes. As she grew up she seems to have learned how to live in both worlds simultaneously during performance. So today, in her most recent performances in Norway in July 2022, she happily waves to individual audience members and seems to pose for pictures all in the midst of the most difficult performances. Years of performance and she has completely mastered simultaneously being in the inner world and on stage! I highly recommend taking a look at her earliest videos at 5 years of age where she is showing her doll collection then suddenly sings Adele ("Rolling in the deep"). Then, another video (also 5yrs) where she is recording that song in studio. To me, especially in the first video, she does not seem to differentiate between that inner and the "real" world yet. It is so wonderful that the adults around her did not suppress this gift.

I really love your soft and respectful, almost awed, take on her. I feel she is channeling old, wizened women from another time 100% when singing, then the instant the music stops, she is back in her 9 or 10-year old self, with no embarrassment, just natural and adorable.
